Checking in letting everyone know that I made it home alive. It wound up being bachelors’ night out with av8rmike, TeleTronOne and myself heading down to Annapolis to finish off the evening. We ran into my sister-in-law’s sister (which would make her my what?), and otherwise it was an uneventful but entertaining night.
Just to give everyone a heads up, we’re looking at June 20[sup]th[/sup] as the date for the next dinner since JC’s party is the weekend following, and right now we’re thinking of the Baltimore area up near Dave and Ginger as the place to have it.
Also, TTO suggested Dave and Buster’s in Rockville or Jillian’s at Arundel Mills for an eventual dinner and I just thought I’d mention that to see what people think (they’re video arcades for adults).

Just made it home safe and sound. (what is this, the 3rd straight time we’ve managed to go out with no deaths or serious injuries? )

I was talking with a friend today, and it reminded me of something. Not quite in the AAA/MADinner vein, but I thought lots of people here might be interested. It’s also a ways off, but I thought I’d drop a line about it in case anyone was interested so that maybe I can start a thread about it when the time draws a little nearer.
I am speaking of The Virginia Wine Festival.
Not until August 16-17, but I wanted to post a note about it before I forgot.
I went to this a few years ago and had a great time, I thought it would be a great doper event.
Would anybody in this group (tentatively) be interested in going?
Heehee…he’s a good guy and I love him dearly (just sort of ready to get my life in order and settle down), but if anything happens, you are definitely first on my list;). You’re absolutely adorable (hey, single girl Dopers out there - I’d advise grabbing this one pretty quickly!).
And I had a blast meeting everyone - Ginger, especially, since we were the only two female Dopers at this one, and WeirdDave, who’s absolutely hysterical- although the fried ice cream left a little to be desired. The drive to my cousin’s house was a little painful, as I was absolutely stuffed, but I made it and had that little chat with the 13 year old (no more houses with boys without parents home). Thanks for a fun evening, everyone! (Asylum, I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to stay and get to know you as well, but hopefully at another DopeFest!).

And as for the wine festival, I beleive that “The Plains” is on the edge of the boonies, in between warrenton and middleburg. Probably a bit of a trip for the Maryland dopers, but it shouldn’t be too bad for us virginians.
