Actually, while I can certainly understand Opal’s agitation about the whole thing, the earlier time would probably work out better for us, cuz it’s, like, a three-hour drive home.
5 is fine with me too. It would SUCK to be in two rooms, we’d be running back and forth! That way Brian can stay longer too (since he has another engagment afterwards). Also we can have more time to do something afterwards. Is anyone up for doing something afterwards? Any ideas?

I’m going to go ahead and OK the 5pm reservation change since no one has said “ack! No I can’t do it”.

Whoa, Nate… I didn’t realize that Baby Kate’s full name was “Kathleen Marie”… heh. My full name is “Katherine Marie”
Anyway I have sorted out the issues with the reservation. There were more issues, believe it or not. I called to confirm the change to 5pm, only to be told that the spot they were holding open was for 12 and not 15, and could only squeeze in 14 at the most, and that with everyone uncomfortably squished! Since I needed to make the reservation for 16 plus a highchair, this was not going to work. And since the space was supposed to be held for 15, I didn’t really feel this was acceptable.
So I got on the phone with the manager and was able to sort it out. We will be at two tables, but they will be side by side. This will probably actually end up better than one loooong table, in the end, as at a long table it’s hard for the folks at the ends to converse with each other, whereas at two side by side tables, everyone tends to be a bit closer together. Plus we won’t be squashed in like sardines.
So all is good… all is good…
