I think his false claim has a bit of his real role and powers included in it. That is why I am concerned that he actually has an ability to affect the vote at end of day.

Chronos’ claim reads like a cover role to me. I’m not inclined to hold off the bird in hand at the moment.

I too am not surprised to find an argument against lynching him. Nor that it is from Pleo.

I’d (still) like to hear from Pizza – perhaps he has something relevant to share about Inner and we can be in the enviable position of choosing between two likely scums. Or perhaps he is just being arbitrary and Pizzalike.

I feel good about leaving IS alive for now. His opening posts plus this one indicate to me that he’s engaged in the game and being fairly open about what’s on his mind. That helps players who analyze posts read his intentions. I’d favor leaving him be for now until a better read comes in. I don’t trust the players who hang back and let the discussion happen on its own and aren’t engaged, because I cannot cold read them.

I’m not seeing a great transition from not really reading Inner Stickler to putting together a coherent reason to vote for Inner Stickler and you say you explained yourself yesterday, but I don’t think you did. You’re complaining about no one else being able to figure out your Inner Stickler vote, but I don’t see where you put much effort into it yourself. You might be trying to get credit for what’s not there, unless there’s some critical post about Inner Stickler that I’ve missed.

I may have missed some unvotes on my napkin count. It seems like to make the lynch contestable, we should hold off on Chronos votes unless people weigh in on other cases?

The point isn’t to make Chronos’ lynch contested, it’s to make it contested between two players of unknown alignment. A “contest” between an outed scum and anyone else is not a lynch that gains us any information.

We either need to 1) back off Chronos enough that two or more other players are at risk of being lynched, and wait and see what any power roles may do about them. Or 2) simply lynch Chronos and accept that we won’t gain any information from the Day Two lynch.

We currently have no evidence of a pro-town killer, and until we DO have evidence of such, I don’t believe we should be leaving anything in their theoretical hands.

We won’t get evidence of a pro-town killer unless we give them a good target. It’s rare to have mandatory vigilantes lately; I expect any pro-town killer who has an option will wait until there’s a good target.

I strongly believe we need to vote to lynch Chronos, and then continue playing. We have a mock lynch for 2nd place, and people still develop cases and cast about suspicions. It won’t have the same impact as a real lynch would have, but it’s something, and I really think Chronos needs to die.

Unfortunately, votes that don’t put a player at risk of being lynched are no better than a finger of suspicion.

Ok, I think we should lynch **Chronos **today and I think we should have no other votes for anyone else. Theoretically this would make for a lost day, but any day with a dead scum is a good day for town. This is my clue:

I am afraid that M. will not only manipulate the vote if he can, I think **Chronos **might be M. given this tidbit in his claim:

I’m not sure why scum manipulating the vote means we shouldn’t vote for anyone else.

If scum can completely cancel the lynch, it doesn’t matter.

If scum can avoid the lynch and put the next candidate into the noose, we need to have a clear second place candidate to avoid the unknown tiebreaker.

If scum can change the vote totals by a few votes, we merely need to keep Chronos in an overwhelming lead. I don’t think that’ll be a problem.

We may not learn a lot from Today’s voting record, but we will learn for sure whether Chronos is scum or not, and be able to better evaluate his voting record and posts Tomorrow. I think it’s much better to kill a scum, as I am pretty sure that Chronos is, than to shoot in the dark and kill another townie.

It’s okay if you don’t want to use the vote record, but many of us do.

I think the best scenario would have been to hold off on any revelation on anything about Chronos until (at least) Monday.

Having failed at that, we really do need to lynch Chronos (we don’t know what additional powers the Scummeraty have, and if he really is Scum that would reduce their options).

There’s an obvious attempt at WIFOM-ing Lightfoot (if Chronos truly IS scum). And on that note, Chronos is most probably scum: it would be far too much coincidence that both Scum and him AND Daphne decided to hang around him.

I agree we need a second place candidate, just in case. And I plan on placing a second vote, but it will probably have to wait until the weekend.

I don’t think I said that I didn’t want to use the voting record. Whatever happens Today, the voting record is going to be influenced by Daphne’s reveal of Chronos. We might as well get a dead scum out of it. The whole point of using the voting record should be to catch and kill scum.
