Mafia: Baker Street [Game in progress]

Got my PM

Confirming receipt of role PM.

when you say that you can vote as many players as you want, do you mean that we have multiple votes or that only the last vote counts?

I can neither confirm nor deny the receipt of a role PM.

By this, do you mean I can’t have two active votes on a player? Or do you mean that once I’ve voted for a player, then unvote them, I cannot vote for them a second time?

Will you tell us what the scum victory condition is?

Sorry, didn’t mean to be confusing about the voting. You can have only one active vote on a given player. So you can vote sixteen times for Rysto, but it’ll only count as one vote.

The Scum win when the number of living Scum is greater than or equal to the number of living Town.

Finally - going to have to delay the start of Day, possibly by a bit. I still have about half a dozen PMs to send but I’m being called to a meeting. I will get to this as soon as humanly possible.

PM rec’d. The game is on.

Got my PM, too. But wouldn’t the appropriate term here be “afoot”?

I have my pm. Will we have a new game thread?

PM received and ready to go. Can I assume that we’re going with the Cumberbatch Sherlock and that references to Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu are superfluous?

PM received.

I figured we were going with the Conan-Doyle Sherlock.

Not committing to any particular canon, though Ill admit to having binge watched the Cumberbatch version earlier this year.

PM receivified.

PM received.

Gots mah pee ehm.

Receipt of PM confirmed.

*Hi, everyone!

And… GO!!!

What are people’s thoughts on the informational tidbits? I don’t quite know that I get the point of them, especially if the only guaranteed true ones are scum. Even if a scum posts their information before they get lynched, we have no proof that what they posted in the thread is what they got in their PM.

Proposed strategy:
CLUE: A woman named Jean Grey is in possession of false information that may be ignored.
Lynchees reveal their clues before they are lynched and/or if the person being lynched is referenced by the clue.

Otherwise keep the clues to yourself as much as possible, because it may reveal more than you intend to reveal if we all mass reveal the clues.

For example, it’s possible certain types of clues are given only to vanilla role types, therefore a mass reveal could hang town power roles.

Deviate from this if you feel it is prudent, but mass reveals I have a strong feeling are bad news.

While anything is possible and I certainly don’t think a mass reveal is called for right now*, I doubt storyteller would have done that.

*Revealing now would force scum to post what they know or make guesses about the setup before any information-gathering roles could have an action. It’s possible that holding people accountable immediately will give us something to test against with lynches and night kills.
