See, this is where I disagree. I don’t see how it was pure luck?
First of all, I had always maintained either (or both) Texcat and Astral were scum due to seeming to be saved from lynch by the fast moving Dizzy and Pleo trains…and it turned out I was right.
Secondly, after Texcat posted what she did, I pretty much knew she had to be lying due to what MY clue said…hence why I said I didn’t believe her claim and said she was lying scum…and it turned out I was right.
So what does luck have to do with any of that? I was right on TWO occasions about her being scum. That’s just me happening to be right…that wasn’t luck.
I mean, come on, I don’t think I’m all that great as a player…but at least give me SOME credit. : P
Really, we should have known she was lying from the moment she posted her fake PM because she claimed 2 results and since actions are sent in before dusk, she’d have had to search dizzy’s body before dizzy’d had a chance to die.
Clues: I still don’t think we will be able to solve the game even with a mass reveal, which would also no doubt have other downsides. But if there is a good reason to suspect that scum already know the information, or if you have some external confirmation that your clue is either true or false, I think revealing is probably the right move now.
I’m not pizza, but we lynched a godfather. If you believe no more roles that can fuck with alignments exist then an alignment detective can do pretty much just as much good by creating a pool of scanned townies as they can finding scum and it’s a lot easier too.
Note that some stated clues have used players’ character names so revealing who you are may inform someone else with more information about you then you may like.
