5. With one or two modest exceptions, every player - Town and Scum - has been given a single clue about the game setup, the roles, or the characters. More than half of these clues are 100% accurate; some proportion of them that is >0% and <50% are false. False clues have been given only to Town-aligned players. I will state for the record that I have by various means attempted to ensure that public reveal of certain clues or other information may not always benefit the side of the player given the clue.

Idle’s clue suggests that there is a secret Scum unknown to his teammates. Will anyone speculate on the mechanism whereby Scum would learn their secret teammate’s identity and invite him to the Scum board?

It might be plausible that one of the Scum would have a clue like Mahaloth’s to narrow the search for their secret teammate.

What do you want us to speculate about? If scum have such a clue, we’ll never know unless they post it, and town can’t act in any way to circumvent their search, short of lynching the hidden scummer first.

You’re still assuming Idle is accurately reporting his clue, which we know for a fact he isn’t, by at least one word.

And you know what? I still want him dead more than Mahaloth for that.

I won’t weep if Mahaloth is lynched (what is up with his play?), but Idle Thoughts is withholding information from town for no reason. Past Idle Thoughts even agrees with me.

I think JohnnyBravo had the exact same clue that I did…but when Texcat got a hold of it, she changed it by leaving out a word and withholding what the full clue says.

If this is correct, that means scum probably already know what the real clue says anyway…so should I post my clue?
I don’t see any reason why not since it’s very possible I was right and that Texcat changed JB’s clue in order to hide any possible extra info from Town. Keep in mind that this is how I figured her to be definite lying scum late in the Day yesterDay…so I think the odds are good she really was lying and changing it.

I contend there is no single word that could drastically change the meaning of this clue. There aren’t even that many words that could be added while maintaining the sentence structure.

What could the missing word be? There is NOT a scum player…?

If you’d actually address my points, I might be inclined to agree with you. You’re voting for a player our mod will deal with, and another player based on Day 0 information. I have little sympathy for the votes you’ve gotten based on that behavior.

I know that the Arkham game a few years ago had secret scum (Commish Gordon) with no knowledge of the fellow scum. I believe he got access to the scum board by being investigated by the scum (maybe the other way around - I can’t seem to find the spoiled board, and I’m not looking too hard).

My recollection was that Gordon never made it to the main board. We didn’t have a good way of locating him - a clue like Mahaloth’s would be useful to either side of that grouping in trying to join up the scum team.

Your strategy needs work. Mafia can fake investigations and lack of a counterclaim is a strong argument but it is not positive proof. A counterclaiming player could be uninvolved or working another plan. Also, you’re missing the fact that I never voted for her after Day 1 and I repeatedly stated that I thought she was town so as a scum strategy it’s pretty lousy.

i have to agree with this. i didn’t believe DaphneBlack immediately. i didn’t vote her either. this isn’t to say Inner is town but i wouldn’t vote him for this reason.

Leaves Idle Thoughts, **gnarlycharlie **and Rysto on Texcat’s voter list. Rysto put her in the lynching “seat”. Would scum do this? Doubtful.

Both Idle Thoughts and **gnarlycharlie ** voted early for Texcat, when it was far from obvious she’d be lynched.

Mahaloth’s play may not be pro-Town, but that doesn’t make him Scum. Maybe I’m gullible, but I doubt Scum would risk the accusations he’s getting. And Mahaloth did cast 3rd vote on TexCat Day 3.

Since the two voting you have cast only single votes, your request is somewhat self-sacrificial.

I wish to point out to everyone, again, that Astral is, again, heavily pressuring me to reveal my clue…a clue he knows to (possibly) have extra info that scum weren’t told.

He appears to be the only one pressing me this hard to reveal my clue.

I have a clue that benefits scum and only scum and AR has been on my back to reveal it for the last two days.
