Agreed with Mahaloth. This day should end as it was expected to, with a lynch, powers, and scum action.

Do you guys have any idea how hard it is to balance a game much less try to re-balance it mid-game due to multiple non-participants??? You can’t do that in an instant. Get over it kids, it’s just a game run by a guy who actually totally has a real life too.
Go out for a walk, read a couple of chapters in a book, watch the walking dead or some house porn on hgtv. 
I guess I am doing my “not paying attention” thing again. I had not realized story had decided(as you seem to think he has) to re-balance it mid-game. I thought the extra time was to decide that decision.
Story, for sure just let us know what you need. I think more than anything, those of us in it want to try to finish the game in some form or other.

Because it was not yet certain how the nonparticipants would be handled, I had to allow an extension on the use of actions - it wasn’t really fair to force people to make decisions without knowing how the game would proceed (can’t say much more than that, for obvious reasons). Extending the action window without extending the voting period seemed unfair - well, more so, at least, then just extending everything.
As to the length of time, unfortunately I had a rehearsal last night; by the time I got home it was midnight and I was really tired. I knew that would be the case and didn’t want to commit to ending the Day before I would be able to.

The Day will not be unilaterally shortened. However, there will be an instantaneous hammer if at any time the number of votes on a particular player is equal to the total number of players -1. Also, you may vote to hammer using orange text; if more than half of the living players (ie, 5 or more for today) wish to end the Day and if there is a valid lynch candidate, we will end the Day 12 hours following the fifth vote for hammering.

The Scum have been dealt a considerable blow by this action. I will be compensating them with a single, one-use power that is quite strong and may or may not involve recruitment. I hope no one objects to this too strenuously, but eliminating two Scum players demanded some significant reconsideration of the balance.

I believe he’s using the rule of thumb that 25% of the total number of participants are scum. Myself, I prefer the square root of the total as a guesstimate, but to each their own.
I do think with the sheer number of vanilla players we’ve found, 6 seems less likely to me now than 5 but it’s always better to err on the side of caution.
If there are 2 scummers and we mislynch today, Day 7 will be LYLO. If there’s one scummer then Day 8 is LYLO. If there’s one scummer, I expect the scum’s one off will definitely be recruitment.

Inner. he was tied with **Idle ** and voted for Mahaloth to make it a three-way tie. if he knew about the real method of breaking ties, his vote would improve his chances of surviving.
It definitely increased his chances of surviving the tie, if ties are resolved randomly. I would have liked to have seen better justification for his Mahaloth vote. This might warrant a vote from me. Need to review when I’m not on a phone.

Mahaloth claims to have five names that harbor at least one scum. If his clue is false than what he really has is 5 townies, which would actually be really helpful now that we’re down to 8 if we could match character names to players.
