Mafia: Conspiracy 2: The Cabal Strikes Back! [Game Over]

And I take back what I said, provissionly. FCS if you have a town special power I’d give it a toss. Can’t hurt at this point.

Trust me, I was as surprised as anyone when I finally made it back and found myself alive. I hope your daughter is feeling better.

I’m still processing all that information (and waiting for Pollux to claim) but at the moment I’ll
vote hawkeyeop
because that was seriously weak and half-assed.

Two people have out right claimed Drainbead is lying, and I’m most scummy to you? Really?

Yep that would be a really.

My vote is currently on PO but I already voted for you once and will have no trouble moving it back. Jesu Christo, this is a target rich environment.

Dude, go back and read your claim. Just don’t be drinking anything while you do it because it hurts to snort red wine up your nose.

Zsofia…

Since we’ve already had some folks go out of order, and considering your internet access is (I could be wrong) tentative, perhaps you could claim next, so all we’ll be waiting on would be Pollux Oil deciding to grace us with his presence.

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.

Brains.

The point is, due to Drain Bead’s having being outed as a mason by the (claimed) seer, and 2 (claimed) masons jumping up and refuting that, she is a likely candidate for Omega Wolf. Today we need to try and hunt out some Cabal. Your roleclaim looks a bit suss with you not having checked Drain Bead yesterday. However, you will be confirmed or not at the end of the day so I personally would rather find a better lynch.

First, in the interest of accelerating the process, I concur with mhaye; if Pollux doesn’t show up with a claim by the time you read this, I urge you to go forward with your own claim post-haste. We have relatively little time.

Unless Pollux or Zsofia claims Vicar, I will accept peekercpa as Vicar and pro-Town without reservation. I had forgotten that we do have solid evidence that a Vicar exists: a Necromancer certainly exists, and Darth Sensitive was not reincarnated as a zombie. Now, it is possible, I suppose, that the Cabal blocked dotchan Day One (assuming dot is the Necromancer, which I am definitely assuming). But the probability of this happening and of there being no Vicar from the outset is low. Thus (again in the absence of very surprising claims), I will not be voting for:

peekercpa
mhaye
storyteller0910 (obviously)
Koldanar
Omi No Kami

Re: Koldanar - there are circumstances under which he could be lying, but they seem remote and very complicated. He has correctly nailed the identity of multiple players. He’s probably the Seer. Meanwhile, the relevant portion of Omi’s claim is not actually the role he’s claimed, but the fact that he’s claimed to have the Town’s secret power. We know there IS one. A Scotsman would be an eminently sensible role to give the secret power to, if it’s going to be given to one player alone, because it obviates the risk of the holder of the power dying on the first Day or Night and tilting the game against the Town from the outset. No one else has claimed to own the secret power. So I’m not voting for him.

I don’t know how to address Cookies’ claim, or NAF’s. Either could be truthful; either or both could be lying. I propose that their respective claims could be partially tested using one another, but it would be a complicated test and subject to substantial scum manipulation. More on this later, when all have claimed.

That leaves our two unknowns (Pollux and Zsofia), and four claimed Freemasons:

Hawkeyeop
cckerberos
Drain Bead
One and Only Wanderers

Thus, there are eight players for whom I might vote toDay. We expect that there are probably two remaining Caballeros, one remaining Vampire, and 2-3 remaining Wolves. Assuming the low end, that means that of those eight, five are scum! That has interesting implications, but I want to wait for the two remaining claims to address them.

(The first sentence above was obviously addressed to Zsofia).

Can I ask again what possible justification I would have as cabal to claim freemason? At best it may keep the cabal alive for a day. Certainly there are easier ways to stay alive for a day without the risk of imminent death at the end of it. I mean would anyone have voted for me if say I claimed Scotsman. If I refused to claim?

Secondly why would I, as cabal, say I didn’t investigate Drain? I don’t think it requires special powers to tell that she is almost certainly lying. Why not simply state I investigated Drain and came up empty?

Well, she might not be lying. If you and she are in different factions (or if you are Town, of course), you don’t know that she’s lying (I’ll admit it seems likely, though). If you declare that you investigated her and claim to have gotten a not-Freemason reading, and then events lead to her death, and she IS a Freemason… well, you’re going to be in trouble.

Well, if she isn’t lying, and I am, this means we have three seperate scum entities who have decided that they should claim mason. That seems a bit unrealistic doesn’t it? Furthermore, I’d be outed by any living mason long before Drain’s side would be revealed.

Did you miss the bit at the end of my post where i saod i think we can find a better lynch?

my view is prospective cabal < Haweye < Drain Bead

I certainly don’t get what possible justification you could have had to not check Drain Bead when she claimed!

Giving Mhaye credit for my posts, aye?

Okay, I’ll go ahead. Omi no Kami is a liar, because I’m the Scotsman. I obviously haven’t been revealed yet because nobody has attacked me. I do not have the Town’s secret power and I’d be interested to hear what power Omi has made up.

NETA - The only reason I’m not voting for Omi at this point is that, jeez, Hawkeye, you gotta punish pathetic stuff like that.

Claiming Scotsman would have been a really bad idea then  At any rate, while it possible there are multiple Scotsmen, it seems a bit unlikely.

Just for the record I can confirm that Omi isn’t a mason.

Would you care to answer either of my questions?

Hm. Problematic.
