I agree that Hawkeyeop’s behavior looks suspicious, but don’t think that it makes sense to lynch him at this point; the reported freemason investigations should give us all a lot more to work with at the end of the Day. (BTW, Hawkeye are you agreeing to check me Today? The circle won’t work smoothly unless everyone agrees on their target.)
I guess I’m confused. How in the world are the purported circular Freemason investigations meant to clarify the issue? The scum will lie about their investigations, the real Masons will tell the truth, but at the end of the Day we’re still going to have to lynch someone for answers. At least if we lynch a purported Freemason candidate toDay, we’ll get answers by dusk toMorrow.
Hey all, checking in after a long and busy weekend. I have to play catch up in the office, but I will be reading tonight, and hope to participate tomorrow. From what I’ve seen so far, the way in which Omi made his claim coupled with mentioning the secret power seems…off to me. I need more time to think on that.
Either? I thought your question was why didn’t I vote for Drain, which I answered by telling you that this is an extremely target rich environment and you’re just so egregiously scummy I figured I’d wait on the others. I may change my vote by the end of the day, who knows?
Also, my second candidate is Omi, since I just don’t expect two Scotsmen. I’d go that way if it was decided to let the Mason thing work itself out.

I don’t know, I hated having to claim Scotsman because it’s hard to verify and I thought people might not believe me - but there’s no point in making something up and if people believe Omi about his magic secret power it could be bad for town. Claiming Scotsman or similar roles I think brings suspicion to you.

I guess my point is that of the 3 Freemason claimants other than Drain Bead, none of us are claiming to have any knowledge about the accuracy of each other’s claims. At the end of the day Today we’ll presumably either have all 3 of us vouching for each other or 2 of us claiming the other is scum. In any case it seems to me that having backing each other is a good thing even if they’re lying, since it means that when you find out one is lying you can feel fairly safe in bringing down the rest. But I’ll admit that the information I’m going with in terms of strategy (that I’m really a Freemason and Drain Bead is scum) is different from what you’re going with.
If Town really wants to go after one of us Today, though, I guess I’d support a Hawkeyeop lynch. His failure to respond to the circle check idea is deepening my suspicion of him and I feel that a Drain Bead is bad strategy at this point.
I thought my initial suggestion of the idea would imply that I was fine with it. To be clear I will go along with the plan.

I have been trying to sneek online and check up on the game when I could this weekend, but this whole thing makes my head hurt.
To me, it would seem, lynching zofia or Omi would seem to be the best choice. If we pick wrong, no big deal, we get information but no one dies, and we have scum tomorrow. If we pick right we bag a scum. Seems like a win-win to me. I can’t imagine a game with two scotsmen. I also can’t imagine a game with two vigs, but we can get to that later.
Does any other power group want to claim that they have town’s secret power? Because right now I am inclined to believe Omi over zofia, but the secret power bit would change my mind.

I meant the Scotman just as an example. There are certainly other things that could be claimed that would be much easier to disprove.

At the very least you will get information when my side is revealed after I get killed. If you lynch me today you will get no info on the truth values of the other three claimed masons. However, if you wait until tonight, and have the vig take me out, when I turn up mason, you will know the truth value for all three.
There also should be information available immediately depending on how things work out. For example, if all 3 of us confirm each other, it is unlikely that any of us is scum.

True. The other thing I failed to take into account - I guess because I don’t want it to be so - was the possibility that the secret power died with the Witch Doctor, or Detective, or whomever.
