You know I’m an old fashioned wagon-hopper, Hockey, but I’m just following my last lead. I think I made a bit of an explanation a few pages back, but in summary: I don’t trust someone who doesn’t want to use the tools available to the town because they’re possibly powerful tools. I don’t (and I think none of our little cult does) feel this game is a game of chance, where the town randomly selects a lynch target, and power roles and the mafia duke it out with night actions. Refusing to use in-game tactics* based on their supposed unfairness to scum* smacks of trying to fabricate a reason to be against a roleclaim other than “I don’t want to have to claim scum or make up a piss-poor excuse for a roleclaim.”
That being said, I, hypocritical as it may be, agree with peekerpa that Santo’s idea seems over the edge of metagaming. And that Santo’s mother wears army boots.
And anyways, isn’t the next wagon abrewin’ not on Pollux, but on my good ole’ buddy Cat?
I agree with your analysis entirely, and want to be very clear: I never said or even suggested that if Nanook survives the night, we should assume his claim is true. Even if he comes back with an investigation that turns out to be correct, we can’t assume he’s telling the truth - there are way to many other possible powers out there.

FWIW, I thought he was attacking the idea, not me personally, and I was literally laughing my ass of as I read it.

Anyway, no worries peek, you truly gave me the best laugh I’ve had all weekend, and I was even out drinkin’ last night.
Voting with the intent to unvote in the next post is pretty darn chickenshit. Place a vote, and mean it. We’re going to need to analyze these voting records later, and this little song and dance of vote-unvote is going to introduce noise that is going to make things more complicated than they already are.
And it was an attack on the idea not the individual. But if our Mod can construe it differently than I need to re-evaluate.

Yes, that is what I meant. I don’t know what about it feels wrong…but it feels staged, like neither one of them really believes what they are saying, at least not all the way. Something is wrong there. They may not be on the same side, but I am certain that they are both playing something other than what they are stating.

You see, here’s the thing.
What you just did right there… in that quote of your’s I am quoting up at the top of this post…THAT is a smudge. What I did is called a vote. There is a significant difference, one is permanent and in the record and easy to find because of the bright blue color, the other is vague and builds suspicion upon those you think to be easy tagets and is almost 100% unaccountable.
Just thought you should get the terminology straight if you are going to whisper je accuse to yourself.
Since you asked though. There is nothing in your post with your vote for pollux that can be construed as pro town. You vote for Pollux for the worst of reasons, reasons that you even say you yourself admit to being guilty of. That either means you are admitting that you are scum, or that you are trying to vote for someone ANYONe who you think you might be able to lynch. In my book it’s 6 of one vs. half dozen of the other really.
THEN you activly smudge CIAS. Again, not protown. “I’m not voting for you but I have my eye on you” is, frankly, bullshit. Especially when the person you are voting for is getting your vote for a bullshit reason. It would be different if you were dead sure Pollux was scum, but I really don’t think you are.
Again, nothing I like about that post. Or the one I quoted up top.

For what it’s worth, as the only Game Room mod, it wasn’t really warnable (though it was borderline). That said, I’ve given very few warnings in TGR and I’d like to keep it that way. Besides, we’ve already seen people leave in a huff from mafia games, so let’s keep it civil or completely clear that it’s in-character only.
