Also, there will be a lot to talk about with what factions may have a kill, based on the number of kills, and an unknown number of blocks.
Well, I’m not sure that a mass claim will help which is why I didn’t change my vote on the subject. The way I’m lookin at it now it that we are going to be getting 3-5 claims per Day and depending on the claim we will either be running from the lynch and waiting for it to be verified or disbelieving / not caring about them and proceeding forward. If we get everyone to claim now we will have time to investigate the claims, in the case of investigative roles possibly lynch a target. If we wait it will take Days verify them from the date of claim.
This was all true before because and I figured that we could use the data from the first Day and Night to not worry about who we were lynching because we would have good enough data to ignore all claims. I’m still worrying that while trying to parse between competing claims we will end up getting the real role killed. I’m not sure that having the roles claimed so that Days later when they come up in the town’s cross hairs we will be able to check their accuracy will balance out the time spent figuring out who’s lying and getting real roles picked off. But either way a mass claim will no help toDay.
OK, I’ve been on a bit of an emotional hiatus for the bulk of the Night; I’m past my fit of childish pique and back and I want to start of the above, which is, let’s just put it gently, a total load of crap.
“I won’t explain myself because I don’t want to give anything away” is not good enough, and it makes no sense. If you have something to say, say it. You might be dead in the Morning, and then whatever brilliant insights you’re promising up there will be gone with the wind, lost to the Town. If you’re actually Town, saying that you have a good explanation for your actions, and it will illuminate a lot of things, but you won’t share them now, is a good way of getting yourself killed.
But that’s if you’re Town. If you’re not, something like the above is a good way to evade responsibility, in the hopes that by the time Morning comes there will be a lot of bodies and enough distraction to let the whole thing go by the wayside.
How, anyway, can you be sure that “we will know more in the morning,” about this point, anyway? The deaths that happen might be tangential to the main action of late Day One.
I may not be alive in another real-time hour or so - one never knows in these games - and if I’m not, I’d urge everyone to not let NaturalBlondChap wriggle away without explaining his own actions.
Is noon PT 1500 or 1600 EDT?
- Like now, it’s Day. Some of us are dead, and we don’t even know it.
That would be me.
Night 1 without fail
And the morning comes.
While a few folk stayed up the Night, it was a seemingly quiet evening. But the morning will not be. Several fresh bodies are found scattered about the village. We quickly see that brewha, NaturalBlondChap, and Santo Rugger were brutalized during the Night.
Day Two has started and will end Wednesday July 9. Enjoy the Day!
Hmmm…that’s pretty much true, isn’t it?
::Readies a FOS if CIAS isn’t dead come sunise::

Huh!!! I’m not mentioned

This Day’s going to be fairly interesting.
Hey, **pedescribe,[b/] surprised to see me breathing?
Three bodies… let’s hope that means two vampires, and not an idiot vig.
Err… well, that’s actually probably not true. Idiot vig overkilling would be better than extra bloodsuckers.
But fuck. I hope brewha wasn’t the real coroner. That’s a big loss.
Wow, that is an interesting mix of kills, I figured both Santo and NBC would eventually come up scum so I’m surprised their dead. Maybe NBC’s idea was too good for him to survive. I think that its interesting that Brewha is the one that was killed out of the ones with a claim I mean all killing the coroner does is buy the scum a couple of days for those with fake investigative claims.
I think I’ll wait for the investigation results before I start drawing conclusions.
I guess today is going to be interesting. Who knows some of those dead may come back later on?
storyteller - got a good explanation or do you want to wait for **pedescribe ** to say something?
We did speculate earlier that the Cabal could have a kill. So that’s the wolves, at least one vampire, and either another vampire or the Cabal or a Vig or what?
Well, I mean, both, obviously.
You seem awfully quick to assume that the Vig (assuming there was a Vig) chose a wrong target. Given the lack of vampire recruitment and the Cabal power boost, I would have been surprised if we had less than 3 killers. In fact, I think there is a decent shot that there are more that failed or doubled up.
I find the number slightly smaller than I expected in a game stated to be bloody. I’m also rather interested in the identities of the dead. brewha was an obvious target, and obviously no protective roll chose to cover him, makes me wonder how many such roles we have. NBC seems kinda weird to me, he was certainly my leading scum candidate, and from what what was posted at the end of Yesterday and overNight, I wasn’t the only one to feel that way. Santo Rugger’s death seems kind of random to me, but too much WiFoM that direction.
So I guess the first question is how and when if at all Today do we want to Nanook to report?
The second question, is do we give CIAS a day to investigate given his last second voting? I can see his reasoning in all his actions, though it still seems like bad reasoning. Not sure if it isn’t reasoning in bad faith, but I’d like to give him the chance.
(And damn whoever went after NBC, I had my case built against him and my post written
)
Sad to say I’m almost relieved to be dead. I dont’ think I could keep up to the game and keep my job at this rate.
Good Luck all!
Unless you aren’t on my side - then die!
Interesting. Brewha went down (what, no protection?). No Nanook or CIAS. NBC Went down. I know a few were targeting him for scum…potential scum crosskill? And santo…did I miss something about him? Don’t want to get too involved in guessing nightkill reasonings but what went on with him!
NBC looked awfully, awfully scummy at the end of the day. I was ready to work on a case for him today. It wouldn’t be crazy to think perhaps he got Vigged.
