Very interesting. It’s good to not only lynch a Wolf (nice job, storyteller - you essentially nailed 2 scum with your role), but also to finally get confirmation that there are Wolves. pedescribe, of course, was blowing smoke with all of his Super Crazy Cabal crap.
It’s also very good that CIAS came up with something other than Vampire. I may need to re-evaluate my thoughts on him. But I’ll wait to hear from Diggit before jumping to any conclusions. But it seems like we have a way to test CIAS now.
And the thing that really jumped out at me: Cog888 was Town. That really sucks. Way to handicap your team, man. You can’t even bother to post one fucking vote so you don’t get modkilled? My thoughts on that are not appropriate for this forum.
If Redwing also turns out to be Town, I’m going to blow a gasket, I swear.
My first thought was it’s better than the alternative of lynching townies to get data points to lynch scum as opposed to just going straight for the scum. But…
I kind of see your point, however. As the Days increase our biggest threat, IMHO, is going to come from the Undead. Unless the Vicar (and I am assuming we have one as a result of the zombie arrival last night means that we have a Nec) is very freaking lucky the number of undead just keep increasing while the other factions shrink. There are just too many bodies that will be piling up so the odds just keep getting worse.
Taking out the Nec will become a priority pretty darn soon. So any stifling of discussion or voting patterns will benefit that role.
So I am willing to take this potential bird in the hand but on a go forward basis my strategy may need to be adjusted.
Of course I do want to see what our next target has to say for himself.
And of course I must be as dumb as a box of rocks. Care to enlighten the short bus participant of this game. Don’t have a friggin’ clue about what you are getting at.
Thanks for answering my previous questions, however. Your explanations made more sense when expounded upon.
Yeah, mhaye, I like the “make a cryptic comment” approach as much as the next guy, but I’m not sure I’m following you and your point sounds interested, so specify and clarify, si vous plait?
Hockeymonkey has summarised what I was thinking. In detail :-
Night one, we had three deaths. We now know that the dead players were two Townspeople and a Cabalist.
We can be reasonably sure that NBC the Cabalist was slain by pedescribe, given the testimony of Storyteller and pedescribe himself. We know pedescribe was a Werewolf.
(If Storyteller is doing his garden-path-guide act again, everything from here on is void.)
So who killed the two Town-aligned players?
There are several possibilities, obviously. I can think of four. The Werewolves might have a tough-guy power, the Cabal a secret killing power, there may be multiple Vampires, or there may have been a Vig kill. I doubt I’ve thought of everything, either.
In the latter case, the Vig now knows they has killed a Townie and is obliged to self-target Tonight.
**storyteller ** is still unconfirmed. He could be a Wolf or Town.
**Nanook ** is now waiting confirmation of the **Squid’s **faction. Dusk Day 4 could be interesting.
**DiggitCamara ** did kill **Roosh ** last Night.
I think a suicide tonight is quite possible, my preferred option of 2 Vampires + 1 Wolf Kill is looking less likely now. There is a possibility that **Redwing ** was the Vigilante and self suicided now instead of toNight?
In my experience, most of the people who have abandoned games have been overwhelmed scum. I’ve seen very few Vanilla Townies just get bored and leave. The Vanillas have the most to puzzle over. That being said, Redwing is not Vanilla. No one in this game is Vanilla. If he was the Vig, he shoulda spoke up and said “oops!, maybe someone will be kind enough to protect me from myself when I have to target myself.” If he’s scum, then Die Scum, Good Riddance, but someone abandoning the game makes it less fun for the others that are playing.
