Oh, I agree. I’m not going to vote for Cat at this stage. He’s still a confirmable role, and he hasn’t been “wrong” yet. But his recent behavior strikes me as bizarre.
And on a similar note, I’ve decided not to vote for Diggit today either. His Role is confirmable, too: we’ll know at Dusk if he’s lying - I can wait that long.
As for another target, I’m going to go with who looked scummiest to me before Boozahol’s lynch became obvious.
Vote Omi No Kami
There is a sequence of posts on Page 29 that pretty much explain what I didn’t like. It’s contained on that one page IIRC, but if people need me to go look up post numbers, I will.
Fair enough. And maybe it is more frustration than logic that drives this motivation. It seems that we willingly sign up for a task that we know will be time consumptive. Then people walk away for whatever reason. Some have stuff that occurs. Some don’t have Jack and never return. Others walk away and return when convenient.
I’d rather vote for someone else since I agree with the arguments made that voting for a wolf at this time would seem to be suboptimal, but haven’t had anyone else ping my scumdar enough to justify a vote.
I’ll be reviewing ShadowFacts’ case against Oni no Kami, and will hopefully get a chance to analyze NAF1138’s case against hadowFacts before the end of the Day (which comes a little early for me because of time zones).
As far as I was aware, all those on the chart in colour have had their faction released by Pleonast. If there is a mistake, please tell me so I can correct it. **ShadowFacts ** did so when I missed **CoG888 ** off the reveal register.
We got pedescribe’s faction at the end of Day 3, when we lynched Squid, because he was lynched on Day 2. See post #1590 for details.
What are you getting at? How does **pedescribe ** being a revealed Wolf mean that **Nanook ** is not a Witch?
I think Diggit is confused. pedescribe was revealed by me as a killer, and self-confessed as the Maestro Caballero or some such nonsense before he died.
Boozahol Squid, PI was outed by Nanook as a Wolf. In his death throes, he claimed at various points to be a Warlock and a Vampire. It is this side reveal that will tell us something, at least, about Nanook; if Boozy is anything but a Wolf, Nanook goes up the gallows steps soon enough.
We’re screaming up on our deadline for the Day and I think the only interesting thing what Hawkeyeop getting 3 votes with in the space of 4 posts. But I read back over those three several times to see if there is evidence that they are working togther but I’m not smart enough to see it if they are. In the end I’m happy with my vote and quite curious what reviels we will get with the end of the day.
Diggit any chance your going to go berserk and start claiming random things for our entertainment? Its been enjoyable the last couple of Days.
Sorry all…my access has dropped to next to nothing (I’m currently swiping some computer access from a coworker just to make this post). I’m at my office getting a new laptop today though, so hopefully tomorrow will bring things back a little closer to normal.
Since I’m not going to be able to read through and get up to speed on the happenings of the Day before I have to relinquish this PC, I’m going to go the cheap route to avoid being modkilled.
I agree that the run on hawkeyeop was a bit strange. When I read the thread I thought that Nanook had come back with a scum result on him for those votes to have accumulated that quickly. It was all a little baffling, and it should probably be one of the things that those lucky enough to be alive at endgame focus on when re-reading this monster of a thread.
Sorry, I am apperantly not great at keeping promises.
I am going to have to nutshell this and I don’t really have time to dig up the specifics. Later on after the Night has started maybe I will be able to, at the very least maybe my suspicion of Shadow will prompt someone else to take a look at him.
This game has been a self centered game for me, I haven’t had as much time for it as I really should have been dedicating, so I have had to focus on the people who are interacting with me. Fortunatly, I am awesome scum bait. My case against Shadow more of less relyes on Boozy (formerly Dio) turning up scum so if it turns out he was a townie inexplicably claiming scum feel free to ignore all of what I think on the subject.
When I picked up on what I felt to be a legitimate scummy move by Dio, and pushed on him about it. Dio didn’t really respond, he made the right play as scum, but Shadow jumped in and rescued him, calling me out for putting scummy words in his mouth and obtusely overlooking the underlying motivation of Dio’s words and my line of questioning. Shadow is a bit smarter than that. I have watched Shadow read between the lines in other games and draw conclusions based on what he saw. I can’t see him being quite that obtuse, but hey it happens. I was willing to write it off, until Boozy claimed to be scum. That cast Shadow’s behavior in a whole new light.
That’s the long and short of it. I could go back and support my vote more fully, but I don’t think anyone is changing their vote to Shadow anytime soon. So I will gather the supporting evidence and try to convince you all some more after the lynch toDay.
It only makes sense to vote for Diggit at this point. While yes, the undead are a threat and it would be a good idea to try and take them out, we don’t have any solid leads on a person who could be a particularly undead shambler. Well, aside from the zombies but we can’t kill them. But the point is, we can go after somebody who’s acted scummy and had a good, scummy case built against them, and they still have as much of a chance as turning up Wolf or Cabal as they do Undead.
Plus, if Diggit really is a wolf, if he stays alive they are clearly going to use him to kill again since his lie will be exposed tomorrow anyway, and giving the wolves less ways to hide their identity is a good thing in my book.
I just don’t want to end up with a situation like what happened in Simpletown (I think it was Simpletown? Maybe it was Doperville?). Eh, the one where two detectives claimed and the town decided “Let’s put them aside and vote for somebody else!” And then they nailed town and the next Day it was lynch or lose. And then they lost.
I figured this was what you were going to bring up when you said you would be back, and I welcome the scrutiny. Regardless of what Boozahol turns out to be, I think I come out of our exchange looking a hell of a lot less scummy than you do. YMMV
So go ahead and make your case. I think when everyone looks back at that exchange, they will see quite clearly what I saw you doing. And to be clear, I was not defending Boozahol, I was attacking you and the scummy behavior you were engaging in at the time. And on that topic, let me say it again - I am so tired of this meme: “X is defending Y. Why would X by doing that? How does X know who Y is unless he has (GASP!) Perfect Knowledge Syndrome!!1!!1” I’m not going to let you pin that crap on me like what happened in Cecilvania.
I love that I always seem busy on Wednesday anymore. I agree with story (it was story, right) that Diggit’s role will come to light with the reveal of RoOsh, but lacking other good targets today, I have to go along with the scummiest.
Who said you were defending. I was careful not to say that. You weren’t defending, you were redirecting. That is totally different. Don’t try to shuffle out of this by turing it into a “calling the third vote a scum tell is a scum tell” situation. This has nothing to do with you defending Boozy McSquidsalot and everything to do with you changing the subject off of his scummy behavior and spinning it back to me.
Yes, you did not use the word “defending,” but rather said “rescued.” I assume you can see why I might interpret that the way I did. Since you were so careful with your words, can you explain what the difference is for us?
And I am not trying to shuffle out of anything. As I said: make your case. Let’s see what you got. I am completely confident in what I called you out on before and am sure that others will see what I saw.
You saved him from having to answer question. You didn’t take up his side and stick up for him, you changed the subject onto me.
Defending:
Dio gets in trouble and you say: “No WAY. Dio was right!”
Rescue:
Dio gets in trouble and you say “Hey that other person sure does look scummy for questioning Dio. Maybe we should talk about him. No need to look over here at what Dio said. No sir.”
Different, no?
