Ok, that took a long time and wow was there a lot of apologies, excuses, and fluffy historical commentary about other games, inside jokes, ongoing strategy debates…and not much about this game.
Other than what has already been quoted recently, I think this is worth bringing up:
The statement about how there could be no masons, ergo even an un-counter-claimed mason carries risk caught my eye. It is valid, but in my mind it pretty much goes without saying, yet he said it. It could also be seen as possibly fishing for another mason to come out and back pede up (which I’m glad no one did). It might be interesting (though admittedly confirmation bias) if Hockey Monkey happens to remember that statement and whether or not she had any thoughts about it at the time, as one of pede’s fellow masons.
