Re “Power” versus “Powers”, and people claiming to have “Powers”
I WTFed at that myself, before I double checked my PM.
Incidentally:
I am an Alpha Vanilla.
My PM also reads “Powers”. Of course, being vanilla, this means I have no powers.
Consider this an eyebrow raised in your direction.
…and I see I’ve been beaten to the punch on the Powers thing, but the eyebrow stays.

Can you give the actual quote you got TRUE for? I’m asking because Hawk said “I’m pro-town” which can be a PFK who wins with town as well. So it would be better to check the statement “I’m town”, if you want to confirmed townies.
Like you said, anyone not posting “I’m town.” now looks scummy and with that thought in mind:
would allow her to claim Beta or power role if you get FALSE back. Then again that would look so scummy, we probably would lynch her anyway.
More subtle is Hawkeyeops posting the “<everyone> is town” list, giving a cover for people not to post it themselves (probably get WOOF? if you check those statements I think). But to conclude from that Hawk is scum, it would require NAF lying (not town) or to be wrong (failure rate) or Hawk as godfather.
On rereading Night One/Day Two, the only true/false statement I found are the ones you asked for by Hawk and Almost Human (“I’m town”).
Your claim as a scum plot to save Hawk I now find more unlikely (looked like dotchan was to be lynched if peeker hadn’t claimed, not Hawk like I suggested earlier). That leaves as scum motivation “two of us dead already, need something big to pull off a win”.
Currently leaning to that you’re telling the truth. Also that your results are probably correct. Because I think the Story meant the role as claim checker, because that is the only time people will true/false statement about themselves (at least that is the only case I found in this game, besides the direct question answers).
Good point, so perhaps a better tactic is to investigate slightly scummy people to either confirm them or out them as lynch. Not the vote leaders since they will be-confirmed-by-lynch. Investigating other role claims would take priority, but if NAF scum would hurts us more if we believe two false claims.

I’m Town
The fact that scum only seems to die 4/5 might have some effect on when we reach LyLo. The last 1/5 of them seems not to be able to vote or speak - so I’m not sure how to look at it.
But if scum startede at 5 players - it could mean that 5 times 1/5 scum somehow ends up as 1 scum
