IDK, can we trust the dead now that we know that ATPG is somehow responsible for turning a Townie into a 3rd Party?
ATPG? Do you have any explanation or anything that can help us make heads or tails of this…
I’m guessing that **Mahaloth **was not a Scum kill, since I’d think they’d try to just get him lynched Today after his awkward claim yesterDay.
**Astral **was in my ‘probable Town’ column…but that’s about all I had on him, and I didn’t really have much of a read on **Red **at all; if he left any obvious ‘I’m a Cop’ signs, I didn’t see them.

I don’t know if ‘Pizzaguy involved’ is necessarily an indication that he was actively involved, but perhaps these zombies are counting toward a third party zombie/demon win condition. But do we have three or two? If we have a Town role who has visibility into what’s going on, it is possible they were only able to get results/insights on Pizza and one other. I think it would be prudent to count all three of these untouchable/unlynchable zombies as possibly counting toward this hypothetical 3rd party win condition. My hunch is that none of them have been informed of any perfect information other than what Story has included in the dawn posts involving them: they’ve been re-animated somehow, are back in the game only in so far that they can post but not vote, be voted for, lynched, killed or otherwise interacted with by any game mechanics. Pizza hasn’t really been posting much since coming back to life, which is unfortunate as I think his insights would be useful. So maybe there is some sort of posting restriction that these zombies have, but if that were the case I’d think that Story would just have their re-animation be color and not allow them to post.
The message doesn’t say “Pizzaguy responsible”, though…just “Pizzaguy involved”. So there may not be any contradiction there at all.
If we can’t trust them, then why bother asking them the question?
Pizza was lynched on Day 1, and returned on Day 2. That must mean that someone took an action on Night 1 to ‘Zombify’ him. Nobody came back on Days 3 or 4, then we have 2 Zombies on Day 5.
So why no Zombies created on Nights 2 or 3, and why 2 on Night 4?
I have a thought on the second question. We must have had one ‘Zombie maker’ to start the game; he’s the one who brought back Pizza. The Barn message tells us that someone has been converted from Town to 3rd Party; I’m guessing that’s our second Zombie maker.
Because there’s two possibilities I’m playing with
- The Barn Post is True and ATPG has somehow changed someone from town-to-3rd party.
or
- The Barn Post was fabricated by a recruiting 3rd party who wants to a) Discredit ATPG, and/or b) wants to shift blame on recruitment away from himself.
I don’t know which camp I sit in at the moment.
Is this list accurate…I remember reading that this list wasn’t complete…and I’m trying to finish writing up my notes so I don’t say…vote for another dead person…KWIM?

Why would someone want to discredit ATPG? He can’t vote or be voted upon and can take no actions; what’s there to discredit?
As Suburban and I have both said, the barn post could be true without Pizzaguy actively being responsible for something happening. Also, if the barn post was fabricated, it could have been fabricated by scum and not a 3rd party.
Okay, well, here’s all I know.
Perhaps not surprisingly, I had no real wish to come back to the game. I also didn’t receive any message (PM or otherwise) telling me this was happening. If I didn’t have a morbid (pun intended) curiosity to see who bought it last Night and peeked in just now, I wouldn’t have realized I was back in, even in this minor capacity. (Odd mechanic; what’s the point of bringing people back if they might not even realize they’re returning?) Anyway since I learned this purely by chance, I can tell Townies that I have no instructions or ideas whatsoever about why I was zombified, or any other information whatsoever.
Only other thing I can add, or at least guess, is that I’m assuming people who were returned to life, aka me, Pizza and ortho, were allowed back in because we didn’t sign up for the spoiler board, assuming there is a spoiler board.
Speaking of which, I also want to assure you all that the commentary thread I started – and asked moderators twice to change the subject line to “no spoilers,” to no avail (geeze you’d think Idle Thoughts would be more accommodating considering he’s so into Mafia too) – never had any spoilers in it as far as I know. The only actual ex-player I saw post in it was Stanislaus, and he just talked about his claim screw-up.
FWIW all I said in that thread, and the reason I started it, was that I was really shocked by Astral and USCDiver’s jumping on LightFoot’s slipup. To me this seemed scummy thing to do. Obviously, as I’ve been throughout the game, I was wrong. At least, about Astral. I remain pretty suspicious of USCDiver. Then again, I was also suspicious of Red Skeezix since his participation was so dang low and unlike him. And now we have a dead cop with only one result, which has already been acted upon. I don’t get it.
However, if I were able to vote, I’d be voting LightFoot–or at least pushing him/her and USCDiver pretty darn hard. The fact that LightFoot wasn’t killed last Night is incredibly suspicious, considering s/he painted a big sign on his/her back that said “Hi! I’m not vanilla Town!” And once Astral started gunning for LightFoot, he was NKed.
“We know”? Seriously? Because it was scrawled on a Barn message, which is something anyone can do, including Scum? Are you genuinely this trustworthy of an anonymous message on the Barn, or are you Scum trying to convince people not to trust other Townies?

I’m just trying to make sense of it. I gave ATPG an out saying that it was fabricated…It doesn’t really matter if it was fabricated who exactly was fabricated by…I’m guessing it was more 3rd party than scum because it makes more sense to me.
I also asked him directly if he had anything to do with it. As a town player, I’d hope he’d be honest, but I’m also wondering if there was any sort of alignment changing once dead like a “zombie class” that means something else…IDK, I’m open to suggestions, and have no formal opinion on any of last Night’s happenings.
Oh well now I see my thread’s finally been changed after all. Thank you, Idle Thoughts or whichever forum mod changed the thread for me! However, I should add that I won’t be going inside there anymore. So I’ll just wave to everyone in the thread from here.

I suggested that with my #2. I’m assuming that someone got changed, I’m questioning whether ATPG had anything to do with it (passively, or purposefully)
I just think you’re (Dizzy) seriously over-complicating what the risks are. Anything that makes Story out to be a liar or a Gastard, I’d eliminate or at least shove way down to the bottom of the list. That would include any of the returning previously dead players being a) privy to any non-public information b) able to do anything that impacts the game except share their thoughts in posts.
They’re obviously here as the result of some sort of mechanic, and the circumstances are a much better fit for 3rd Party powers than Scum or Town powers.
To other topics…
We’ve had two nights with three Town deaths in them, and we have a dead Town Vig. If we have a backup Vig, or some other Town killing role, we’re getting mighty thin on Redshirts around here. If these third kills are coming from a Townie and you are not required to kill, I would consider holding off on pulling the trigger. I’d also consider claiming your kills before other people start claiming them. Just my $0.02, obviously your role is yours to play as you see fit.
Your #2 begins “The Barn Post was fabricated”. I assumed that meant “made up”, not “true”.

Storyteller’s color had Pizzaguy appearing wearing a shirt labelled “Town,” and so I automatically assumed that his affiliation remained the same. However, there’s not really any reason to trust that. Color is color, after all.
I’m a bit suspicious about Choie’s claim that there was no PM whatsoever. Will ATPG and Ortho confirm this?
I’m going to look back and see if anyone was strongly urging the investigator not to reveal just yet. That might have been in an attempt to keep Skeezix silent until he could be night-killed. Maybe a scum investigation panned out the night before.
Ouch! Way too much carnage last Night. I’m a little surprised to see that Lightfoot survived the night after her slip.
I hope Pizza checks in soon to shed some light on the barn. I’m not sure I understand why it talks about Demons instead of Wolves or Wolf’s :). And it appears to be directed to the wolves, although we also had a message that the wolves could not kill the serial killer. It is odd that we have an increase in zombies at the same time the barn says we have an increase in 3rd party. I am thinking that they must be related some way, but I can’t come up with a theory that makes sense. My only other thought is that the Demon Hunter needs to hunt more Demons. Those people are wearing red shirts for a reason – so they don’t look like wolves or demons in the woods.
