+1 for a most excellent pun
WTF just happened here? Well done Cookie voters! I had just about marked her as town after the Stanislaus flip. I am just a little surprised that Cookies rolled over so easily. Does it make anyone else nervous?
vote: Cookies
Shit guys.
I really thought that I was getting the hang of this crap. I was mentally composing a rebuttal to Diggit’s post wherein I would defend Cookies, and then she just goes ahead and reveals. She was absolutely not on my scum radar.
Vote Cookies
We can discuss the validity and implications of the info dump tomorrow. Tonight, we feast on wolf!
That’s what we do after we hang them, right?
To respond to the questions asked and anticipated
I wager Scum didn’t target me so Town would lynch me today- as a matter of fact I was looking to see who would initiate such an action –
** cookies ** yesterday had the gist of it- I’ve unintentionally outed myself as a non-vanilla role and reacted in a manner that isn’t helping the situation
With 3 deaths last Night Scum probably tried to do something else to me – if they could ( block/track/watch/re-direct/ pee in my cheerios) You all know the drill- I’ve as much as said I don’t have any ‘results’ and since they don’t know what I * can * do they just blocked me or re-directed me- if they even cared as much as some of you do.
One more miss lynch and a non vanilla to boot- Scum heaven- since their NKills seem to net mainly Redshirts
** suburban ** If you had gaffed like I did – would you have said something else – or shut up? I chose the former- probably a bad idea= but I did it already-
Adding
** cookies ** was rather supportive of the possibility of my statements above
And has since flipped to voting me
Another easy out?
Votes and unvotes to follow
- although I had hoped that there would be more pushing the issue before I posted this *
** Unvote babale
vote cookies
Vote Dizzy
**
remember that this one could have a protection of some sort and is drawing the lynch for some reason ( or want us to think that)
Wow…when I left work this afternoon it was a Slow News Day…I really didn’t expect to have so much to read after I got home.
and having read it, I’m still not sure if I have things straight…
Apparently **Cookies **is a Wolf (nice catch, Diggit!); I get that.
But what’s up with **Dizzymrslizzy **and LightFoot?
It seems that **Cookies **would have us believe that **Dizzy **is the SK based on her being blocked on Night 3. But I interpret her “Good luck with LightFoot” statement as indicating that **LightFoot **is ‘our problem’, meaning she can’t be killed by the wolf’s (sic), making *her *the SK.
And of course we all need to remember that there’s no reason for us to believe a word of anything that **Cookies **tells us.
Since I’m already voting for LightFoot, I’ll leave that vote there. And since she’s confessed to being a Wolf.
vote ComeToTheDarkSideWeHaveCookies
I need to take another look at Dizzymrslizzy.
And finally, I’d urge you all to consider voting for **USCDiver ** because he’s been cavorting with Demons. More on that in my next Post.
So, originally I decided to post this once I got home today because participation had slacked off quite a bit, and we were well more than halfway through the Day with no clear sense of direction.
Since then, the pace has picked up just a bit. But I’ve decided to go ahead with this anyway, because we seem to suddenly have a bunch of pieces on the table, and I have at least one more in my pocket.
I am The Demon Hunter.
My original Role PM.
Welcome to the game; you are the Demon Hunter.
Since your youth, you have trained day and night with only one goal in mind: to join the Ancient Order of the Red Mask – the demon hunters of legend. You are in peak physical condition, strong and resilient. You are a gifted practitioner of twelve different martial arts. The sword, the spear, and the bow are not weapons – they are extensions of your arms. You have spent years building up an immunity to Iocane powder. You are perfectly equipped to battle any demon that comes your way.
So if any demons show up, you’ll be in great shape. At the moment, it’s all about the werewolves, so you’ve got nothing.
WIN CONDITION:
You are Town. You win when all Scum are dead, if and only if no third party win condition triggers before or simultaneously with yours.
SPECIAL ABILITIES:
You are a well-trained Demon Hunter. Oh - abilities relevant to the current situation? Uh… maybe croquet?
At dawn of Day 2 I received the now-infamous “mysterious PM”, which I relayed to the Town:
Last night, though you slept soundly, you woke with an uneasy feeling. You have the sense that somehow, you evaded a terrible fate. You also have the feeling that you will not get so lucky again.
All remained a mystery to me until Dawn of Day 4, when I received another PM from story:
Something has changed - you can sense it. A Demon has come to this Town, and someone among the villagers is consorting with it. Specifically, as of this morning someone’s alignment has changed from Town to Third Party.
Fortunately, as a fully accredited Demon Hunter, you have the capacity to do something about it. There are four elements to your role, all of which unlock now:
-
You would have had a one-shot immunity to Night kills… but that one triggered back on Night One, so that’s no longer available to you.
-
Should anyone else change alignment, you will learn about it.
-
You have the sense that askthepizzaguy has some connection to the Demon; if you wish, you may destroy him permanently by Night using a Night action.
-
Alternately, you may investigate any player (by Night) to determine whether they have had any truck with a Demon. This power is infallible.
Here, first of all, is the key to what happened on Night 1. Someone tried to kill me, and my one-time immunity…which I wasn’t aware of at the time…kicked in to save me.
Now let’s fast-forward to last Night. I had two options: I could permanently destroy Pizza, or I could try to catch someone cavorting with Demons. I decided on the latter option. As I said in my PM to story:
So, the obvious thing to do here would be to kill/destroy/obliterate Askthepizzaguy. But that just seems *too *easy…and not all that much fun…
So I think I’ll leave him be for Tonight at least. Instead I will
Investigate USCDiver
Why did I decide to investigate USCDiver? I was looking for someone who seemed ‘Townie’ for the first 3 Days of the game, and not so much on Day 4. And as I said when I voted for him, I didn’t like Diver’s “I don’t care who dies as long as it isn’t me” vote yesterDay.
Andfor once my instincts were correct:
USCDiver smells of demon. He probably tastes of demon. He might well have rolled around in demon and then taken a bath using demon bubble bath, then covered himself with Axe brand body spray (now with demon scent!).
Nice shooting there, Tex.
As far as the Barn message goes, I tried to be as clear as possible within the 10-word restriction. Someone turned from Town to Third Party (possibly USCDiver, possibly LightFoot, or Dizzy, or someone else, since I’m pretty sure we had a Third Party at the beginning of the game to reanimate Pizza). And **Askthepizzaguy **is “involved”. Not “responsible”, but “involved”. I have no further information along those lines.
I was rather hoping that a discussion might ensue along the lines of “what should we do with **Pizza **now?”…but I guess it didn’t occur to anyone else that he can be ‘eliminated’. I’m still not sure if that’s the proper course of action or not. Part of me thinks: I’m a ‘Demon Hunter’, not a ‘Zombie Killer’, so it’s probably not ‘my job’ to deal with the Undead. But that presupposed that it’s 'Someone Else’s job…and until Someone Else steps forward to claim responsibility, I guess it falls on me if it needs to be done.
So…that’s what’s up with me…anyone else want to share?
Oh yeah…I forgot to answer this question:
I would have said “Yeah, you’re right. I’m not Vanilla. That’s all I have to say at the moment.”
I can say that without any sense of doubt, because I’ve been in exactly that position in the past (that is; I inadvertently said something that betrayed the fact that I was not Vanilla Town), and that’s what I did.
I love how I call you out, you roll over and die Cookies and you attempt to throw me under the bus YET AGAIN. Guess what, it’s not going to work. You have no information here at all.
Let’s see there’s multiple reasons why there was only 2 kills on N3.
Doctors correctly protected.
Wolves hit the SK.
Wolves/SK/Vig hit the same target.
A redirector changed a kill
Are just four possibilities off the top of my head.
And since when does “I blocked a player” equal that that player was out doing something that could be blocked?
Suburban? What is a Demon? And what do they do in the game? Are they who is bringing people back to life?
Is a Demon someone we should be lynching?
I thought I did that ( my subtle attempt was lame it appears)- but hey- I’m just this one- and you’ve read my recent posts
** burby ** I ‘ve called you as Scummy because I thought you were ” off” somehow. You are now claiming that I was correct in that
Without a counter claim the demon hunter holds * some* water- but you could have posted the barn message as a set up for this claim of yours- you see that right?
I’ll give you a minute to read what I’ve recently posted- I too typed ( in an off doc) prior to posting in an effort to see what others had to share prior to – as explained
My questioning of the ‘ zombie bits’
My aha moment with the Mod’s comment either makes me a lucky one on the subject OR another hunter ( which I’m not BTW)
You are re-enforcing my suspicions but I’m a baddy?
Anyone else notice how ** pizza ** appeared to be skating?
You know everything I know.
I don’t know if the Demon is a player, or if it’s a non-player mechanic. My PM said “A Demon has come to this Town”, but I’m not sure how literally that’s meant to be taken. All I know for certain is that **USCDiver **has been associating with it, and I’m quite sure from the way my PMs were worded that that’s a Very Bad Thing.
There seem to be a few things going on here:
Someone (or multiple someones) can raise players from the dead.
Someone can recruit Town players to become Third-Party.
**Askthepizzaguy **is in some way involved, though I am pretty certain that Pizza only pawn in game of life.
I think it’s obvious that all these things are related, but I don’t know how.
I can use my Night action to permanently remove **Pizza **from the game. I don;t know if I should do that or not. Will that prevent the Demon, and/or his followers, from recruiting more Townies? Or is **Pizza’s **continued existence (such as it is) necessary for someone else to end the threat?
All I ***know ***is :
Someone or something is capable of recruiting Townies. they have recruited one so far, and have the potential to recruit more.
**USCDiver **has had dealings with a Demon. I don’t know that this is a bad thing, but I think my PMs make it pretty darn clear.
I am the Demon Hunter, but I don’t seem to be a Demon Killer…unless **Pizza **is the Demon, and I don’t think the evidence we have, scant as it may be, suggests that. I’m hoping that there is someone else out there who has a complementary role to mine, who can shed more light on the subject.
I *am *flattered that you think I’m capable of inventing all of that to support a false claim.
Maybe it’ just me, but I really don’t know what you’re trying to say here.
Especially the part about **Pizza **‘skating’. He certainly didn’t ‘skate’ on Day 1, and he’s been mostly dead since.
IT’S not impossible- and you have to admit it would be clever
Two different thoughts - that’s how I get wounded to death usually
I pondered Here that maybe Zombies * could be * effected somehow
And you may recall I thought it odd that a Zombie was not sent any message
** zombie choie ** claimed to have some of the same concerns- but had a problem with me having them—
Since ** Pizza ** popped back in- he has stated that he did get a PM that was related to his ‘zombi-ness ( unless I read him wrong? ) but his comment felt “ fluffy” to me – and since he is usually a “ this is the way it is believe me” kinda player it felt like skating
Add to this the “ if you have to ask you can’t” post by the mod I was thinking that you can and have been told so- so your being suspect of me for surmising something you now claim to KNOW --is counter productive ( if my beers make sense)
OK, asking these questions after **Suburban’s ** massive data dump feels like a redirect to me.
Do you think Suburban is still hiding information from us? It looks like he copied/pasted every piece of correspondence he’s had with Storyteller.
So, here I log in, expecting Cookies struggling to save her hide and we get
?
Well… ok then.
Well, my guess would be that she’s trying to get us to WIFOM. Like I said in my post explaining my vote for her, wombat is kinda exhonerated in my mind (I can’t see a Wolf multi-voting for three and using two of those votes for their compadres. At least not at that point in time.
Her next multi-vote contains at least one known (now dead) townie. And you. And ever since then she’s been voting for you. So, maybe she was trying to set up the “sweet long con again”?
Anyhow, that was until you posted your “defense”. And the sentence I quoted stands out for me. Because no one said “I blocked a player”. Seems like you slipped there, Dizzy, but I’ll be damned if I know what that slip could reveal about you.
well, good thing you asked, Johnny. His PM in particular reeks of editing.
Hasn’t storyteller set up this game like a movie set/Evil Dead town? Suburban’s PM is pretty much devoid of the movie elements and I don’t think story would miss out on that part.
See, choie? That’s the way you ferret out information from the color!
What slip? Cookies accused me of being blocked on N3. So in essence she was saying that she or one of her teammates blocked me.
I was saying it was irrelevant, because being blocked doesn’t prove that I did anything.
