I need to get on with my second read, since there’s a risk I won’t be around at Dusk - I try and go out on Sunday evenings. Also there’s a looming shiny I want to follow from PAX East this evening.
Back a bit later.

Since I am here for like 3 minutes and trying to not fall too far behind.
Choie…how long have you been playing mafia? (I ask because I don’t think I have played with you before). What do you know about voting third for a player?
ANYONE WHO ANSWERS FOR HER GETS MY VOTE AUTOMATICALLY FOR THE REST OF THE GAME UNLESS SCUM IS OUTED OR THAT PERSON US LYNCHED. LET HER ANSWER.
And so you unvoted her? I’m sorry, it’s not making sense to me how she’s suddenly innocent of something that was worth a vote earlier. If you think voting someone for OMGUS voting is worth a vote, is “not unvoting” someone for the same thing different? And you suspected there was scum among Visor’s voters but haven’t voted anyone else since unvoting?
Not quite. My read was that death doesn’t necessarily end participation in the game, although that being said, resurrection is a possibility (once someone gets to Clr 17 of course). Don’t forget the diamond.
Yowsa, scream a little!
This is my third game, and I still feel pretty wet behind the ears. (Especially with all the extra mechanics involved.) But yep, I have heard of that third vote = scum thing. But I don’t much abide by following unspoken rules like that – it seems insincere to me. So I voted how I felt, which was that Gadarene’s fixation on Astral’s joke post was… not odd, crap, what’s the word? Opportunistic, I guess. Does that make sense?
Not a problem. Someone has to be the third vote, I am just trying to develop a bit of a player profile for you in my own head since you are one of the many folks I don’t know well. Also, sorry for yelling. I would hope it wasn’t necessary but experience has shown me otherwise.
Anybody else notice we suddenly have 250 personal message slots available? When did that happen?
No prob, I understand. Hopefully we’re both just trying to keep the baddies at bay.
(I bet if anyone had answered instead of me, it would’ve been Inner Stickler. He’s always helpful yet ironically gets lynched because of it!)
It was the result of this ATMB thread not too long ago.
And we members get 500, so nyeah.
How do I go about being an member.
Alas, I am busy during this weekend, but I shall provide you with my own Vote Tally Notes again!
Like last time- unvotes here will be italicized and smaller. There may be some errors, if so just let me know and I’ll update mine list for next time.
Day 1:
(2) 4. Mosier: Normal Phase (#63,65) Lightfoot (237)
(0) 7. **Weedy: ***Visorslash OMGUS (102) *
(5) 8. Gadarene: Naf(90,91) Ro0sh (120) Choie (152) InnerStickler (197) Visorslash (236)
(2) 10. Astral Rejection: Guiri (#57) Gadarene (83)
(0) 12. NAF1138: *Glee(114)-Lv up Vote/Unvote (157) *

(5) 27. **Visorslash **Weedy (94) Silver Jan (95) Mosier (117) Mahaloth (124) septimus (132) PetW (188)
And of note, does anyone know how to format strike throughs? That would make my charts easier to read.
[del]Like so.[/del]
I actually went for a walk just to get away from the temptation. I would hate to incur Naf’s wrath.
[del]test[/del]
[del]test[/del]
Interesting. Sorry for messing up the game thread with tests. I was curious if choie’s neon green was a glitch or a quirk. Looks like a quirk. If you were curious, leaving the final n off of green yields that super bright [del]green[/del] gree.
PS. If you want to demonstrate coding you can use the tags to tell the board not to do whatever coding you have between them.
NETA: you can use the tags to tell etc.
Heh, how does that help him? You’re not telling him the code he needs to use.
(del) text you want to cross out (/del)
Except with square brackets instead of parentheses. Which gives you:
[del] text you want to cross out [/del]
And speaking of helpful, Inner Stickler beats me to the punch! And explains my freakish shade of gree.
Better watch it, dude. The noose’ll be 'round your neck again for sure at this rate.
Well, the simplest method is always to click on quote when you see a post with interesting formatting and then you can see how they did it. I suspect ATPG was simply making it easier for Toejam rather than having him scroll backwards through the thread looking for struckthrough text.
Huh?
Clerics who have leveled up to 17 in DnD have the option of casting Resurrection. It costs a diamond but revives a willing dead person even if their remains are, to use a technical term, all fucked up. Raise Dead is cheaper and can be done at lower levels but the corpse has to be in good condition.
