[Mafia game] The Realm of Phere

@ NP

IS may have a different thought process to RT, and his attacking me. I’m an easy lynch, I get that. I’m not liked, and I piss people off (more then you NP :p), and some other things that people have said, which majority are that I have been acting anti town and that simply it.

Regardless, depending on what IS do, I may suggest him as a lynch as well.

Currently, his post at the moment annoys me. (I’ll go find it)

This one.

Look, it says in the OP that townies can be good, evil or neutral. Evil doesn’t mean scum. Any other alignment bar those three are definitely scum (probably) of some kind.

I mean, scum could be one of those, but who knows.

Tanaer, what was your role as of last night? I have a reason for asking.

I changed during the night - or at least I hope I did, haven’t heard from ATPG yet - but as of the start of the night, I was a basic fighter.

I didn’t put in a fighter action Yesterday though, I put in an item action. (Use ring on Lord Phere, to be precise, since Fubbles never answered me about identifying it). In case that makes a difference.

So, what was your reason?

**fubbles ** didn’t answer you?
I wanted that to be restated.

data point.

For the record I do have some data from my watching last Night.
I am waiting to see what other players have to post before sharing it ( understand I think it’s important to wait)

I’m also curious what our other claimed watcher has to say

I agree it’s not ideal. I want a role change to bump my hit points a bit, since nobody trusts me so I doubt I’ll get any heals, and it was either berserker or archer. Archer doesn’t inspire me with potential for defence. From memory (and it’s been a while) in D&D berserkers will be able to stand for longer with the same hit points, go down fighting.

Yes I asked in thread whether a guard would be enough to find out what my item did. He didn’t answer, either in thread or by PM.

Why? Is considering getting my item identified yet another reason for suspicion? Seems to me I’m not doing town any favours by not knowing. I’m glad it went the way it did though, just using it.

OK now I’m worried you saw someone visiting me, and I’m going to find my stuff gone whenever Pizza gets around to sending me my update. :frowning:

** fubbles ** has gone out of e’s way to tell us all e’s playing on the up and up
(even if he’s a 3rd) and not responding to you is a data point.

paranoid responses will get ya killed too

Fair enough point. I’m just so tired of being under suspicion. Having nobody want to talk to me unless they’re prodding me for something is exhausting, and being shut out because I’m not cleared is depressing. I have this bizarre human quality of needing interaction. I’m not sure whether I’d rather be dead.

My inbox is pretty quiet. don’t concern yourself about that.

This game is a bit of a chore to figure . I’ve decided to just play IT

Sorry for being daft but IT.. was that just emphasis or In Thread?

I didn’t consider the alt but it was for emphasis. the other fits as well though

I apologise to** Visor** for saying he didn’t vote, I misread something once again. I don’t like the way you have been attacking during the Day, if you are Town, you are trying to kill people without knowing their alignment, that’s surely not Pro Town. If you think they are scum then vote for them, don’t go behind their back and try and cut them down secretly.

I don’t want to attack** Visor** toDay, I would rather attack Lord Phere as there is a chance that he could be killed.

with the attacks, any player can change their alignment. not double checked but ** visorslash ** could have achieved chaotic /evil by now

Read my earlier post @ Scum team theorie

I read the rules differently. Let’s take a look at the specific language of that rule again:

Remember that the lawful/chaotic alignment spectrum is different from the good/evil alignment spectrum. Seems to me pizzaguy was fairly specific (and clever) in his wording of the above statement.

Note the difference in these two clauses:

  1. Townies can turn Evil
  2. Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic folks can all be Townies.

The two statements aren’t necessarily related as far as I can see. There’s nothing in the first clause that indicates that Townies who turn Evil remain Townies.

It’s like a syllogism:

  1. Good, nonviolent humanoids can become part of the evil Borg collective
  2. Earthlings, Vulcans, and Betazoids are all good, nonviolent humanoids (at least in the 24rd century)

It does not follow from the above statements that good, nonviolent humanoids who are turned into the Borg remain either good or nonviolent. Quite the opposite isusually true.

Does anyone else agree with this or am I nitpicking? (Not to mention giving away my incredible geekiness?)

Anyway, I’m a little wary of the number (and especially speed) of votes on Visorslash. I’ve made no bones about the fact that his in-game personality makes me grind my teeth and risks making him seem scummy even if he doesn’t do anything especially scummy. But unless I’m missing some behind-the-scenes conversations/activity (very possible), I’m not seeing the reason for the immediate wagon.

IMHO, as Normal suggested, with such battered hp he’s a better target for attacks (which appear to be a way of making everyone a potential vig) than for a vote.

The short version of my above message:

It says Townies can turn Evil, while saying that Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic can be Townies. There’s a difference between the two, IMHO.

Bloody hell choie, I had to look up syllogism and apart from the fact that it means inference, it also took it to logic problems. That’s a word I need to remember.
