Healing potion to Tanaer
I would be interested in playing as an alternate if anyone else is in danger of suffering the wrath of the demon. Any chance I could get back in?

**fubbleskag **was attacked. Understandable.
He was protected by something that absorbed the energy. No problem.
As a result, he recovered 0 HP. 
Why doesn’t the write up say he “took 0 HP damage”? We were told (just prior to the snippet I quoted) that each of Phere’s attacks “met its target”. So fubbleskag was in fact hit, but the end result was not “damage”, but “recovery”.
The only other time fubbleskag was attacked was on Day 2
I took that at the time to indicate that **Normal **protected fubbleskag, and her own ability protected her from taking damage, but now I wonder…it does say Normal was “puzzled” that she wasn’t hurt, and the fact that she was “grateful” implies that it was not her own ability that protected her.
fubbleskag, do you have some device that absorbs energy, and can turn damage into healing?
Last time I looked, you don’t have a scratch on you, and plenty of people protecting you. What do you need a healing potion for?
You are one tough cookie indeed, at -600 HP by my count. You could probably use some healing, but I wonder why you aren’t voting the potion to yourself? You haven’t been shy about doing so in the past?
As for myself, I’m currently standing with one foot already through death’s door, so I think my need is greater than anyone else’s at the moment…

No, I did protect him; that part of the write-up was misleading, but my own PM result was clear. However, the other part is a good catch. I think good fubbles may have been lying to us about what he actually gets out of the items that are given to him.
First, I’m unaware of “plenty” of people protecting me, so I’m curious to know where you get your information – or dis/misinformation. But not in public, please, for chrissake.
(Wow. If what you said were true, whoever put their confidence in you made a spectacularly bad choice. Or was purposely spreading some disinformation.)
Next and most importantly, I fear any protection that isn’t in my own little hands. A person can change his or her mind about protecting people. S/he can lie. S/he can be killed. A vial of health juice that’s controlled by me and me alone would be a relief, to put it mildly.
This game is going to be a long one, so I figure, yep, I would like the ability to avoid relying on the kindness of strangers.
You might want to PM that request, or at least put it in BOLD and GREEN, so our overworked game mod will see it. Actually I’ll do the latter for you.
That is a good catch. I just assumed it was a mistype on the part of pizza, and he’d meant to write “received” or “lost” instead of “recovered” Or there was a missing line of text where someone had tried to heal him.
Day 2, you were attacked, but protected by Guiri.
Day 3 you were attacked and hurt, but someone healed you.
Day 4 you were attacked, but Normal protected you, *and *someone healed you (though no healing was strictly necessary that time).
Night 4 you were attacked and damaged, but someone healed you again.
So it looks like you were protected and/or healed 5 times in 5 Days/Nights. I call that “plenty”.
Oh, and I got all of my information from the Daily/Nightly writeups, so I have no problem revealing my “sources” in public.

Out of all of the above, there are only two guardings, which is what I thoguht you were talking about. I don’t call “healing” protecting, especially as IIRC all the Day healings came from me. (Doubt this comes as a surprise to most of you.) Again, I don’t trust anyone else to protect or heal me, especially as Town keeps being whittled down.

As I said, I wasn’t thinking of healings, I was thinking of guardings. And so I don’t call two people protecting me a few Days back “several.” I thought you were referring to future Days and Nights, since you seemed so certain that I wasn’t in any future need of healing potions. As they say on the stockbroker commercials, “past performance is not indicative of future growth.” Substitute “guarding” or “healing” for growth and you have my mindset.

As above: I care about the future, not the past, which is what it sounded like Suburban was referring to. The less I need to rely on other Townies, the better (for them and for me and for Town as a whole).

Yeah, certainly I haven’t played many games with wild variations on roles but there’s a limit to what modifications I think are reasonable. And a lover role where one member doesn’t die upon the death of a lover is fundamentally not a lover role, in the same way that masons whose town alignment is not guaranteed are fundamentally not masons.
They didn’t know each others identity.
Masons are generally town confirmed to each other. They generally have the ability to talk amongst themselves. They are town sided.
Lovers: Roles that are linked in some way. Be it that if one dies, the other becomes a vengeful townie/vengeful serial killer. If one dies, the other dies. If one dies, the other becomes a normal townie. ATPG played a (relatively, in the Org, TWC, CFC circle) famous game whereas he was a lover and was recruited to the mafia, and destroyed the mafia to leave only him and his lover partner standing.
There are variations on roles, and to say one role has only one set of stipulations if generally not correct.

The whole PM’ing thing that’s been going on behind the scenes kind of put me off, because it feels sort of cliqueish and different to how we usually play. That and all the crazy night/day actions + the amount of people in the game kind of made me lose track of things and get discouraged. But that’s still a crappy excuse for not playing the game that I signed up for. [/oog]
That aside, my vote for Guiri today was not entirely OMGUS. I really do think that he’s been extremely light on participation every since he got raised. Normally he’s like a prosecution lawyer picking holes in peoples statements, but now he’s just sticking with his early case on me which I don’t think was strong to begin with and not really examining other people. Metagamey maybe, but it’s pinging me.

He’s dodging the fact that I never said voting for me was suspicious, I said sticking with a vote on me without examining anyone else was suspicious.
Also, why suspect I was behind his death? That seems bizarre - it’s a big game, with so many players he still feels he can pick out a single person to be suspicious of for his death?

I don’t really know if that means anything but I figured I would post it since I’d gone to the trouble to check
