Also (and this is directed to everyone), I think fubbleskag would make a much better coordinated-attack target. His lynch will yield little information, because of his anemic posting and voting history. If he’s third-party as some suspect, we won’t be closer to finding scum.
An obvious objection: if we attack him and lynch someone else, what’s the functional difference?
My answer: the lynch itself is information. Plus, the coordinated attack might fail if our target has too much HP to overcome in one Day. I’d rather it fail on a possible third party who won’t provide much information than someone else.
I agree that fubbleskag is a good target for a coordinated attack.
I was hoping to hear from fellow-Townies who’d been in contact with Jan. My suspicion was based on a single-sentence PM, with my follow-on questions unanswered. Astral has been less forthcoming with me than with you, not answering the single questioning PM I sent him, but that may be personal rather than scummy.

Scathach has been heavily damaged, so may be taken out by Attackers. “3rd-Party” Fubbs seems anti-Town (has he stopped inspecting items?) so good to Lynch, but do we need to? He hasn’t posted since May 5; is he up for Mod-Kill? BTW, I dimly recall mention of him inspecting an item but not returning it. Did that happen, or was it a hypothetical?

First of all, HUGE thanks to Astral and Guiri for compiling those lists. Guiri, I’m going to PM you with some info.
Yeah, gonna agree with you guys about fubbles. And it’s an excellent point that some of the non-participating folks are better attack targets because they probably haven’t leveled up to be nearly attack-proof. Like Scathach appears to be, holy cow, girlfriend is like those Timex watch ads (geezer alert!): takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
In fact, I would like to hear from those of you who attacked Scathach exactly why you want her dead so unbelievably badly. I’m not saying I disagree, but it’s clear that her hp is too high to deal with in an attack, so if you’re willing to make another public case, maybe she’s a better vote target than attack target.
As far as who I find most scummy… well, that’d be fubbles, actually, which shouldn’t come as a surprise since my worries about him date back to the beginning of this game. I still hold out my belief that the third party players in this game are the dangerous ones rather than a cohesive scum team. The fact that the only evil people we’ve seen have been 3rd party backs me up, I think. (Even gnarlycharlie was neutral/neutral, which is only a step away from evil; if my theory of “Phere is the One Ring” is correct, maybe he just never got to carry Phere’s chains, which is why he didn’t get fully corrupted?)
Beyond fubbles, well, RealityTrip was pinging my scumdar slightly before s/he was replaced, so I’d say the replacement is now my second fave choice. The truth is that I trust the revived folks implicitly (barring a time bomb mechanic that I’m hoping is not the case), and myself obviously, as well as those who’ve guarded me. That eliminates six people. Many of the rest are lurkers or subs for lurkers who haven’t made an impression yet.
One of the lurkers who doesn’t fit into the “recently undead” category is my third place scum choice: the person with the fewest substantive posts who got unbelievably defensive (and offensive, IMHO) when I pointed this out. So that would be Storyteller.

Well, now that Normal’s dead, I can probably tell you why Silver Jan, if not Astral, may have been unforthcoming to you: Normal, whom I believe Silver Jan trusted most throughout the game (along with me, I’m proud to say, as well as herself of course) basically sent us a “goodbye” PM with her role claim and a long explanation as to why she was almost certain you were scum due to what she believed was your fishing attempts at finding her vulnerabilities. So it’s quite possible that Silver Jan was unwilling to trust you because she agreed with Normal’s assessment.
Wait, why are we doing that again? Inner is what RealityTrip was, and RT earned many askance glances during her brief period of activity. So why are you absolving Inner? And why storyteller0910 (glad you included the numbers, I am hopeless at remembering usernames with numbers in 'em)?
At first I was going to repeat the point made in Visorslash’s hysteria-laden SCUM! SCUM! post at me when I suggested maybe lynching pizza might be an option, because at the beginning of the game pizza said he couldn’t be lynched. Truth is, I just forgot about that rule. However, now I remember that now-known-to-be-Evil Visorslash was so adamant about not attacking/lynching pizza that maybe there’s something to that idea after all.
I don’t remember hearing of fubbles not returning an item. And I don’t think pizza is doing any more mod-kills; I recall him saying we needed to deal with lurkers ourselves. I’m assuming the reason why is due to balance issues. Though it might be that he doesn’t want to mod-kill the lurkers because they’re on the scum / Evil team, and he doesn’t want to do our job for us?
Septimus: You asked for a trade of information, my element for yours. I saw no benefit in telling you, because that information would only help someone do extra damage in an attack against me.
I got a ton of PMs from people that night, and I’m sorry I didn’t respond to yours. I meant to deal with it during the following Day, but forgot when dawn rolled around several real-world days later.
I wish you would stop looking for personal slights where none are intended.
