Today is the Full Moon of the Eighth Lunar Month. Thus we celebrate the Birth, the Enlightenment and the Passing away of the Lord Buddha since all three events miraculously happened on this same day. I mention this just to point out that schools are closed today in Thailand, so I have two kids clamoring for the computer to play Facebook and on-line games. I won’t be able to study the game with computer until they’re in bed, many hours from now.
But I still don’t know who Scum are. We now know Town can get Illusory Death Reveals of Scum. Did Scum get Illusory Death Reveal of Town? Did long delays in the game correspond with Gadarene’s trip to Turkey – Pizza had to wait for PM’s?
But if Gadarene is Scum he deserves to win the game, along with an Academy Award for Acting. The same can be said for Silver Jan, Guiri, and probably LightFoot and Choie. I lean non-Scum on Inner and perhaps Astral. Thus my worry about Tanaer is based mainly on process of elimination.
But what about Septimus myself? I herewith come clean.
I started the game as a Good but Chaotic Mage. I forgot to Attack Day 1, but after that I Attacked every chance I could (until last Night when I self-protected). Since I was already Chaotic, Pizza told me I needed to change Moral Alignment to keep advancing along the Black Mage path.
Like Darth Vader, I succumbed to the Power of the Dark Side.

I became Neutral Black Mage with a Neutral Wincon: Survive and win if Town wins OR Win with most wealth. (Since I had no chance to accumulate wealth, this was clearly worse than the Town win-con … but I was already captive to the Dark Force! 
)
Later I became an Evil Sorcerer with a new Wincon, but that Win-con was still clearly marked as “Neutral” and I had no knowledge of, or alignment with, any Scum team. By then I knew that “Evil” and “Very Evil” meant two completely different things in this game.
In my Neutral but Evil win-con, I win if I survive. There is an alternate way to win, about which Pizza has only told me that the first step is to obtain a certain object. I know nothing about that object except its name, and that whoever possesses it knows it has great value.
Since the best way for me to survive is if Town wins by eliminating Scum, I am playing as though aligned with Town. I’d hoped that the possessor of the mysterious object would Die, the object would be up for bid, the Evil and Very Evil would reveal themselves in their frenzy to get that object, and that I could then do Town a service by revealing what I know.
And now you know all that I know (except the name of the object, and the Powers of Black Mage, Sorcerer and Shaman – I revoked my Shaman request, BTW, and am still Sorcerer).
Lynch me if you wish – but it will be a MisLynch and lead to Scum victory.

You say you’ll win if you survive, do you win with any team or just town?
My claiming may be stupid, but it’s honest. Changing moral alignment was a requirement to get the awesome powers of Sorcerer; but please note that none of my Attacks as Sorcerer have been against Good players. All my targets flipped Neutral or Evil 3rd Party. Admittedly I’ve yet to Attack or help Lynch a Scum, but the same can be said for all of us.
(I thought it would be fun to be Sorcerer, but my sole demonstration of Awesome Power – the 600hp hit on Scathach – passed almost unnoticed since it registered in an erratum. :smack: )
As Black Mage (Neutral Moral, Neutral Game) my win-condition required that I survive AND that Town win. Sorcerer is Evil Moral, but still Game Alignment = Neutral and requires only that I survive. So I’ve “won” the Game, unless someone kills me, but we’re not playing for fame or fortune, so I’m still aligned with Town “in my heart.”
I outed myself to help. Players expressed suspicion at Inner because he claims to be unTrackable. I am also unTrackable and unWatchable. If Inner is as me, he may be “Evil” but not Very Evil Scum.
As to who is the real Scum? I don’t know. Tanaer is my best guess, but it’s a half-hearted guess and I’d not be overly surprised to see one of our “nearly-certain-to-be-Townies” flip as the Very Evil One. Or perhaps none of us is Scum: that this has indeed been like the Milgram Study and we were supposed to be attacking PizzaGuy all along.
If it’s all too unbelievable, and you choose to Lynch me … fine. But I am telling the truth.
I don’t understand how this is evidence of your pro-towniness. If you’re not scum, you couldn’t have known their alignment prior to attacking them. You lucked out in a way entirely indistinguishable from PIS.
In any event, I’m willing to trust you for now, although I reserve the right to lynch you if I decide that’s where my suspicions ultimately lie. Building real cases would do a lot to sway me.
You assume that Townies and 3rd Parties behave indistinguishably. The fact is: that’s not always true. I’ve not “lucked out” by Attacking and Lynching 3rd Parties rather than Townies, any more than the rest of us have lately.
In fact, to the contrary, I Attacked, or voted to Lynch Charlie, Visorslash, and Fubbles after they’d declared themselves “Neutral” (3rd party). If I were playing pro-Scum, might i not have adopted a “Don’t waste kills on 3rd-party” stance?

SilverJan, via PM you informed me of you actions, summarized as “Days mostly attacking Lord Phere when I remembered but at Night I was protecting”, given Gadarene’s correction, there’s just 1 single attack on Lord Phere that could be attributed to you. Please clarify.
Oh, if any player is able to switch their alignment, I’ll willing to bet it was Astral.
And metagaming, I’m intrigued by Pizza’s warning about dead players posting, as far as I can tell on Visorslash posted about choie.
This probably goes without saying, but…
Could those of you who implicitly trust people because of information you’ve revealed to them please have a think about what they might have gained by having you alive & trusting instead, and re-evaluate? Likewise with info receivers, re veracity, etc. Just so we’re clear as we move onto what may be our final vote.

Pizza implied at the beginning that there were at least two scum - the mastermind and the summoner(s). The mastermind will have very strong town cover. It could have been misdirection, and there may have been only one.
Can we assume that the ultimate power is the item controlling Phere? It seems very likely to me that lynching the person with the item is our goal. I imagine Phere would destroy the item, which would free the king, and nullify the evil players’ goal in one fell swoop.
{Someone said it’s not a normal item, which I take to mean not listed in inventories of the dead, etc. Did I miss Pizza stating this somewhere?}

Hey, I’ll say flat out that I wrote to pizza and complained about scummy Visorslash’s multiple post-mortem meta posts, after the second one after he snuggled up to Gadarene to insult me. Far as I’m aware, the proper way for dead scum (or Townies, for that matter) to participate in Mafia game threads is… they don’t. Ruins the suspension of disbelief and is also just not, well, cricket. Plus, in a game like this where it appears multiple baddies are working separately rather than together, I think a spoiled scum is even more dangerous dead than alive, if s/he wanted to pass messages along to likeminded villains.
This game’s different in that there are resurrections and zombifications, but Visorslash doesn’t appear to fall within either category. So yup, I complained about the petty high-fiving cracks against me. If that makes me a petty tattle-tale, WTF, most people don’t like me anyway, so what do I care?
Hey, there are only nine of us left. Of course he or she is hiding in plain sight! But seriously, I understand what you’re saying, and it’s good advice. Still, I’m genuinely convinced that there is a very good likelihood–no, I’ll say certainty–that I would have been NKed (or day-attacked/killed) long ago if the people I trust were not, well, trustworthy. More important than the fact of my own death is that a not-insignificant number of Townspeople would’ve also been dead, and the game would be over.
On a different note, frankly I find it fascinating and highly scummalicious that every time I mention PetW and his utterly unique reveal, someone changes the subject and no one seems even willing to consider this topic. In fact none of my theories are ever discussed. I suppose it’s quite likely I just suck at theorizing, and also, see above about the fact that I’m obnoxious and disliked (but hey, so was John Adams which puts me in good company). But other people’s wacko ideas are entertained, why am I the town Cassandra?
