[Mafia game] The Realm of Phere

Because, if your hypothesis is true, there’s not much we can do about it but lynch other players, which we’re going to do anyway. Now, if you happened to know that a player was purposefully clouding their alignment from investigators or somesuch, that would be interesting and worth discussing. Right now, you’ve posited an intriguing story twist without explaining how we could test it via the game.

NETA: Take comfort in the fact that lack of discussion mean people find your supposition plausible else they’d take you to task for it.

Hmm. Okay, that’s fair enough. I guess I just want to figure out the plot of this game, and was thinking that hashing things out might jiggle someone’s mind grapes so that some pattern emerges, and maybe that would lead to… something resembling anything.

Hee. Dayum, I guess my suppositions have been staggeringly plausible considering the black hole of silence I receive as a result of 'em.

Inner Stickler, did you ever PM Askthepizzaguy to find out what actions realitytrip took before you assumed his role?

Heh, no. The original PM said that he’d already taken 3 chaotic/evil actions and I figured if ATPG wanted me to know more, he’d have said as much then.

It may be a delusion, but it’s a delusion that’s saved my sanity.

So… you weren’t even curious? Why were you so concerned about what realitytrip had been PMing people, if you didn’t actually care what he’d been doing?

Also, didn’t you say you were going to do it? Why didn’t you mention you were told realitytrip performed 3 chaotic/evil actions when I asked before?

Well, it seemed like the other players might have a faster response time than ATPG, I’d already asked several questions of ATPG in my first incarnation and as a dead player and basically been told if he wanted me to know he’d have told me and finally, since realitytrip apparently claimed to be attacking visor, it seemed plausible that his three actions were attacking visor every day. But what he’d been sending via PM to other players is not something I can as easily determine via the little gray cells.

I’m still not asking for what realitytrip was PMing about. I want to know what actions you took. You said you would PM Pizza. You never informed town that you had decided not to after saying you would. You had information about your actions that you did not share when directly asked, and implied you knew nothing about what realitytrip was doing.

Are you seeing the issue here?

Because it didn’t seem like at the time it was going to help any. (Not that I expect it to do any better right now.)

Hold the phone, Ethel. You asked why I was so concerned about what RT was PMing people about and I answered that: because I don’t know realitytrip and I don’t know what he would have thought was worth sharing or if he made stuff up or what. Don’t get snippy with me when I try to answer the questions you ask.

Yeah, you have a severe humor deficiency and a poor memory. Besides, lying by omission isn’t really lying and everyone, town and scum alike does it. Just because everyone thinks you’re the second coming of christ doesn’t mean I have any faith in you and I’m perfectly happy to be mislynched just to spite you if you don’t cut the 'tude.

Normal said they were all realitytrip’s attacks.

You say you think realitytrip was bluffing or changing classes when he claims doing damage. Except…

You actually knew at least some of those actions were for real.

Oops, bad quote. These were realitytrip’s attacks:

Day 1 - 0 HP (unspecified attack, protected by Inner Stickler, who took 75 HP damage)

Night 1 - 100 HP (physical attack)

Day 2 - 150 HP (physical attack)

Yes, changed classes in between performing the attacks and giving the role up to me. If he was doing damage, it was with a non-Ninja role. Since when I got the role, he was a ninja, he would have had to change classes. Or, he had some other role and was bluffing about doing damage but was capable of performing chaotic/evil actions still. Perhaps there are C/E things that don’t involve damage. Thievery might be one. I don’t know, I never had a thief role. Please don’t ever become a prosecutor.

I don’t understand your anger. Did you or did you not lie about or omit information you had? If the answer is “yes,” how on earth can you be so pissed off that somebody’s daring to ask you about it?

Well, he did die and was risen. But I think Gadarene is a better option here; Astral came back the very Night he was lynched. Gadarene followed Christ’s path a little more closely, making us wait for the good news.

Also, surely you don’t mean that you’re willing to be mislynched, Inner. If we really are at LyLo then you’ll be cutting off your nose to spite the entire Town.

(I’m just happy to not be in one of these slap fights for a change! Yay!)

I just looked at the posts and frankly, I don’t think I even omitted anything. You asked if I’d received a list of actions performed. I had not. I received a list of number and type, but not the specific actions. If you wanted that info, perhaps you should have been more specific. And I’m not angry about being asked about it. I’m angry about the douchey “Are you seeing the issue, here” as if I were a recalcitrant 6th grader.

This is what is killing me. A player interested in advancing town’s knowledge and solving the game would be interested in figuring this out.

Would it be in town’s benefit to find out what those hypothetical chaotic/evil actions might be? Would it be to town’s benefit to find out what thievery is? Would it be to town’s benefit to know definitively what your predecessor did, so that we can narrow down suspects for other actions?

Yes.

And I don’t see how a town-aligned player has no interest in this information at all.

I don’t think we’re at lylo and Storyteller died, so I think even if we were, we have some breathing room again.

Someone better warn Astral that I only slap slap kiss!
