OK now I’m remembering why SP was firmly not on my list of players of interest. This one looks quite convincingly townie, too. (And Septimus, there’s your mention.
)
I note you make no effort to dispute that “defending myself” and “suggesting caution and discussion regarding Gadarene after my death” aren’t inherently scummy.
Something that’s perhaps gotten lost in all of the recent discussion is the distribution of items from our recently departed. As it stands now:
Normal Phase will receive the Blue Pendant that was glee’s
**LightFoot **will receive the Sapphire Ring that was Inner Stickler’s
**choie **will receive the Emerald Ring that was Mosier’s
I don’t have any particular issues with any of these choices, but then again I’m not terribly concerned with the items at this point.
I disagree. Suburban is perfectly capable of having a Townie tone in either role; he’s a good player. But what he’s saying about me and how he’s justifying his continued vote on me MAKES NO SENSE, and you know what? Suburban is a good player. His logic not holding together is a scum tell.
Whatever; you guys do what you want to do. The lack of focus and participation is really disheartening.
I’ve expressed myself. But I’d rather work toward an Astral Lynch than give complete control to the (probably Scum?) triple voter.
Unvote: Suburban Plankton
Vote: Astral Rejection
If Lurkers were waiting till last minute to join a better wagon, sorry. Some of us have bedtimes.
Sigh. Thanks, septimus.
I’ve had to speed up a lot to ensure I get through all the Day 2 posts before Dusk But, en passsant: -
I really doubt this.
Firstly the hue of my item doesn’t match my alignment, and secondly it’s a Day action to change alignment - just PM ATPG and he’ll do it for you no questions asked.
Who has the most votes for the blue pendant after Normal Phase? I want to vote for them.
Gad, I may have already said this, but I half-believe your correspondent is lying to you, and using you as a stalking-horse to disseminate falsehoods. I assume that they told you they’d told SP. What if they haven’t? They’ve created a feud between you and SP.
Here’s an offer. Tell me privately who it is, and I’ll review them either Today or Tonight. If I believe they are Town, I’ll keep their name confidential; if they come up smelling Mafiate, I’ll out them.
Deal?
Let me know.
Trying to catch up; I really, really don’t have time. I am working on a web site that will be launched on Wednesday, complete with fanfare on the Today Show, and I have been flat-out all day long. I’ve gotten this far in the thread, but probably won’t get much further.
Personally, I think Astral is Town because A) I thought his “Day is Ending in 8 minutes!” post was made in isolation (meaning, no outside influence from ScumBuddies); and B) I think his Last Will and Testament rings true.
I’m sorry for not being more vocal today, though I think all my posts last night/this morning should count double.
Also I’m having a really weird experience trying to order a gift basket for a friend. After ordering the basket, I discover the florists’ number doesn’t work, the town’s chamber of commerce doesn’t answer… very scummy indeed.
Anyway. I’m still suspicious as hell at Normal’s behavior at having started the bandwagon Today on Astral, then jumping off, and berating the rest of us for being on it. I agree completely with Astral about this “everything you say will be used against you, no matter which response you give” thing. I ran nto this with her in previous games and it is annoying as hell. BUT she’s been town at least once with that same attitude, so as frustrating as it is, it’s not a scum tell on her.
However, since the only reason I was voting Astral was basically to be a good little Townie and do as mommy told me to do, only to see mommy do the opposite (“do as I say, not as I do!”), it’s time for this kid to go through her rebellious phase.
unvote Astral
vote Normal Phase
Not because of her “AHA Gotcha!” posting style no matter what Astral says, but because her bulldozing of the rest of us yesterday seemed aimed at getting Astral lynched and her jumping off the bandwagon seemed aimed at making her look good if/when Astral flips town. Since I’ve been scolded for voting for fubbles and told there’s no way he’ll ever get lynched, fine. I’m going back to voting my conscience, though. So as Normal is second on my list of scumminess, she’s up at bat.
BTW, I literally have no idea what the votes are right now, and it’s time for someone else to do the math, so whoever that someone is, please have at it!
Whether or not my correspondent is being fully truthful with me has no bearing on whether or not I was being fully truthful in the thread. Suburban himself has stated that my correspondent corroborated what I said in thread, so to the extent that my correspondent is hiding anything, he’s hiding it consistently and is specifically not playing Suburban and I off of each other.
Regardless, I’m fairly sure that my correspondent will now contact you, so you can judge for yourself.
Actually, upon further review it looks like Silver Jan and Normal Phase are tied with 3 votes for the Pendant.
I have the item voting as:
Pendant
BobArrgh (1): [del]BobArrgh (764-876)[/del], ToeJam (901), Tanaer (1224-1347)

Gadarene (1): Silver Jan (1226)
And yes, I do spend far more time making spreadsheets for these games than is healthy.
Blue pendant to Silver Jan.
Thanks, Suburban.
And, now that Normal Phase has a vote and could possibly get lynched (an Astral can dream), I’m going to:
unvote
Vote Normal Phase
Translation:
I didn’t really *want *to vote for Astral, but **Normal **(and a bunch of other people) made me do it.
So now I’m going to stand on my own two feet and vote the way I want to vote…except I’m not actually going to do that…instead I’m going to vote for Normal because she made me do something I didn’t want to do.
Oh, but i have ***no ***idea what the vote count is, so if I happen to cause a massive clusterfuck 2 hours before end of Day, it’s not my fault.
No; what it is is a null tell.
HAF has explained his absence. I don’t believe he’d use project deadlines as an excuse to lurk.
Voting just to level up is a null tell, because it ensures NAF’s side, whatever it is, isn’t disadvantaged by the loss of a chance to go up a level.
Oh, and choie,
Your vote switch from **Astral **to **Normal **made the vote count
Astral - 5
Gadarene - 3
Normal - 2
Weedy - 2
MHaye - 2
With Astral’s vote switch from **MHaye **to Normal, it’s now
Astral - 5
Gadarene - 3
Normal - 3
Weedy - 2
Unofficially, of course, and not listing anyone with only 1 vote.
Suburban: your continuing to vote me is a joke.
Wjhen I get to that I’ll make a note. ![]()
I’d welcome that, frankly. But perhaps you can PM me the name anyway. You know… just in case they don’t contact me.
I need one more vote on me, or somebody else needs several more votes. If the vote count is like this at the end of the day, I’ll vote myself.
And that’s just sad, guys. It shouldn’t be this hard to pick a clear lynch that is safe from the 3-voter.
