This is ridiculous. I feel like I’m through the looking glass.

I think I’ll preserve their confidentiality for now, since they’ve asked me to do so. They can (and probably will) out their identity to you themselves.

Well, if you really don’t want him to be lynched, it might be worth looking at people who are actually being voted for rather than placing a one off on Suburban.

Hum - why am I so far off

You need to get your Universal Translator fixed, Lt. Uhura. 'Cause your translation is waaay out of whack.

I have said all along that I’m weirded out by how unscummy most people are. I think the fact that the votes toDay are so evenly spread out is a testament to this – a lot of people seem to be having a lot of trouble sniffing out the scum, not just me.

I don’t even know what that second paragraph means. “I’m not actually going to (vote the way I want to vote)” – yes, I actually am voting the way I want to vote. I want to be pragmatic and everyone and their brother has insisted that fubbles is a bad candidate. So, being pragmatic, I’m going to the next likely suspect, which is Normal, who’s behavior toDay has been absolutely, ludicrously, patently scummy.

And your last paragraph – why the fuck should I be the only one tallying the votes all the time? It has nothing to do with saying it’s not my fault, it’s saying that it’s time you people got off your asses and did your own freakin’ vote count because I’m sick of doing it myself.

Jesus. I can’t understand how anyone except a scumbuddy could take a look at Normal’s behavior toDay and not find it suspicious as all get-out. If you don’t, that’s fine. Just let me know whether your seeing-eye dog prefers Alpo or Iams.

This is a crazy day, isn’t it? I don’t particularly want to die, but I also don’t want to leave it up to the 3-voter. I don’t get why apparently everyone else is okay with that.

I am the second wagon, Scathach.

And it’s not that I don’t want him lynched (although I do think he’s probably town) – it’s that I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY HE IS ACTIVELY SEEKING TO PRESERVE HIS OWN LYNCH WITHOUT ANY SENSE OF URGENCY AT ALL.

If you are Town, you know that your lynch will be a mislynch, which is bad. I don’t get why you’re okay with that.

Also, Scathach, I don’t think Normal is scum at all, so I’m not going to be voting her either.

Holy crap. You know I’m het up when I fuck up who’s versus whose. Nice work, editor.

A fair point  Although I think Normal Phase is tying you now.

As for Astral, I’m torn as to whether it’s a clever scum move to try and WIFOM us all, or just a genuine townie trying to avoid the vote manipulation :frowning:

If it’s close, any number of people could be lynched instead of me by the 3-vote. Let’s say I lose another vote, and somebody else gains one. That means 4 people could die, and town doesn’t know who until the death reveal. If the 3-voter is scum, that means they effectively get two kills this day/night cycle, FOR FREE, while maximizing their gains and goals at our expense. I’m a soldier, not a power role, and no great loss. If it was between me and one other person, that’s fine. The more we kvetch and don’t pick a winner while putting numerous other one-offs within lynching distance is CLEARLY anti-town.

My death is better than an almost random lynch outside of town’s control. If I live after the 3-vote AGAIN swings the lynch to someone else, we’ll just do this all over again tomorrow.

At this point, I don’t care which you believe. Town, just pick a clear lynch.

Where were all of you yesterDay when I actually wanted Astral lynched?

Astral, if you flip villa we’re just going to do all of this all over again tomorrow with ME in the seat. Why is that a good thing?

I can’t help that. If you get lynched and I don’t, it’s the same in reverse.

Ha ha ha

Out of curiosity, how would you describe **PetW **and fubbleskag? Are their votes as humorous as mine?

I think you would be silly to vote for yourself just to make sure the triple voter doesn’t lynch someone else. You are currently voting for **Normal ** and if you are lynched and flip Town then that vote could possibly be forgotten. I think Normal is Town but each to his own.

This is such a stressful time of Day and I keep wanting to change my vote all the time. I have to be calm, I did have a reason for placing my vote on Astral that felt right. So in my head, I have changed my vote to** Suburban Plankton** for keeping his vote on Gaderene (if Gad flips scum I am going to feel like a twit). Then it was for** BobArrgh** for saying that anyone that jumps off the** Astral** wagon is probably scum and then back to** Astral**.

Gadarene, that capslock of rage isn’t helping your case. I understand your frustration but I’m worried you’re gonna short out your monitor with those flecks of spittle.

I think Astral is being, as I am, pragmatic. It looks quite likely that he’ll be lynched (thanks in part to miss Normal ‘vote for Astral vote for Astral vote for Astral omg why is everyone voting for him?!!’ Phase, not to mention Guiri the Guru, and the rest of us who let both of them steer us in one direction like the lemmings we are. I found nothing scummy at all with his goodbye speech, but rather thought it helpful and realistic. Hopefully it’ll prove unnecessary.

This game is very odd – frankly I’d expect no less from a pizzaguy game – we’re already acting like chickens with our heads cut off and it’s only Day 2.

Somehow we have to account for that three-vote switch on Mosier. Our choices are that

a) someone Townie was trying to save Townie Gadarene

b) someone Townie was trying to save Townie Astral

c) someone Scummy was trying to save Scummy Gadarene

d) someone Scummy was trying to save Scummy Astral

e) someone, presumably Scummy, was trying to frame Gadarene

f) someone, presumably Scummy, was trying to frame Astral

g) someone, presumably Scummy, was trying to frame everyone who voted for Mosier,

h) someone just wanted to mess with our minds and didn’t give a rat’s ass who was lynched.

i) some other reason I’ve left out

I think the reason Astral is willing to sacrifice himself is because it adds at least one data point to help resolve the above puzzle. There should be enough Townies numberwise so that the death of another one isn’t that awful a prospect, especially if it gains us information. Doesn’t mean I want him to go (obviously) but I understand his rationale from a Townie perspective.
