Well now that’s just uncalled for.
It was not a game mechanic. This is my first game on this board and didn’t get the system. So when I read my role PM and the thread, the day was already over.
You’ll have to refresh my memory, but I don’t think I concurred with someone’s item vote tally.
Oh God, another one. This phrase fills me with dread. Does this other mafia board specialize in “fuck all y’all I’m a rebel!” players? ![]()
Normal, you actually are getting through to me, and as I’ve said, even though we disagree I don’t think that automatically means we’re on different sides of the battle. I find the content/tone in your last post very reasonable; there are a few more ‘maybes’ in it, and I always sympathize with, gravitate to and flat-out trust people who are less certain of their own rectitude.
“Certainty” always chaps my hide, probably because I both mistrust yet secretly envy anyone who doesn’t angst or Hamletize over every bleedin’ decision s/he makes the way I do. So the more everyone (well, you, gnarlycharlie and Visorslash) insisted I was wrong wrong wrong to vote for fubbles, the more I suspected you guys (and fubbles, who would’ve been the beneficiary of my changing my vote) and the more I dug my heels in. That’s the “muleheadedness” you see in me.
On a slightly different topic, Astral, though risen from the dead, you don’t appear to be a zombie at all. At least that’s what I think that’s what the color is telling us – the difference between your resurrection and Mosier’s seems striking. I strongly suspect that Mosier is a literal zombie, as per Lord Phere’s drama queen post-rez poetry and pizzaguy’s song. (Who knew this game was gonna have its own soundtrack?)
And in all this I forgot to say goodbye to Guiri.
That sucks. Not surprising, but it still sucks.
… and rather belatedly I just realized we should’ve expected all these ressurections. “Death is not the end,” isn’t that what pizzaguy said? We’d assumed that meant people can still win after death. (Maybe that’s still true.) Instead he was being literal. Gotta say there are more hints in the color than I’m used to!
It wasn’t meant as an insult, I’m sorry if it was interpreted that way. ![]()
On a completely different note, who deserves the pendant and why?
Something else to keep in mind, the two players that have been resurrected were lynched, the players that are still dead were NK’d.
Yeah, I forgot to say 'bye to** Guiri** too and I am fairly convinced he was Town.
If anyone’s got any more resurrections they should strongly consider using it on Guiri. He’s got no reason to hide his light under a bushel anymore; I bet he’d kick some scum ass.
I might even manage a whole day/night cycle before getting paranoid.
I can’t remember in the slightest, Pizza, I’m kind of running on fumes today to begin with. Sorry.
Oh hells yeah, gonna cosign this bigtime.
By the way, I just thought of something, speaking of color, but this time literally. I know I’m only going on SDMB Mafia conventions here, but the fact that Lord Phere posts in red (traditional Scum color) and the “good” dead Townies have all been described in blue (traditional Town color), might this be a way to tell who’s Town? Or are such aesthetic things not something we can trust in a pizzagame?
“I not zombie! I human who want eat braaaaaaains of bad humans.”
Mosier glances around to see if anyone is buying the non-zombie claim.
“OK. Fine, I zombie.”
NETA: I guess I should’ve said “good dead citizens” rather than Townies, since I forgot we can’t assume they’re Townies.
Fuck. Why is it this game contains sooo many mechanics I’m utterly unfamiliar with?! ARGH!*
- No I’m not a zombie.
I understand you’re new at this, dearly formerly departed Mosier, and maybe haven’t received the So, You’ve Been Raised from the Dead and Turned into a Zombie by an Evil Demon! welcome pamphlet, but shouldn’t the correct grammar be “Me zombie”?
“Me zombie?” Ridiculous! First person singular pronouns not you forte! Get job as maaaaaaailman, not teacher.
I believe that was mine.
I’ll Spoiler this, for the benefit of those who don’t care to read all the details:

We know (or at least we’re told) that **Normal **is a double-voter, so counting each of her votes twice leaves us still the following inconsistencies:
Blue Pendant:
I have Visorslash with 0 votes
You have Visorslash with 2 votes
Sapphire Ring:
I have fubbleskag with 2 votes
you have fubbleskag with 3 votes
Emerald Ring:
I have Visorslash with 1 vote
You have Visorslash with 3 votes
I have PetW with 0 votes
You have PetW with 1 vote
Either there were 6 more ‘hidden’ votes, after accounting for Normal, or one (or possibly both) of us got our counts wrong.
So, Zombie Mosier, are you able to participate fully in the Day’s activities, or are you limited to staggering around, using only first person pronouns, and generally craving human cerebral tissue?
OK, now you’re around.
Welcome.
Do you have any commentary to add on the previous 2 Days/Nights of action?
FTR, the convention here is to use “Day” and “Night” to refer to In-Game Days and Nights, and “day” and “night” to refer to real-time days and nights.
It’s been a lot to read through and I’m not sure how much of each person I can analyze. I did however speak to Normal Phase earlier and she’s been catching me up on some of the mechanics that seems to be in place.
This is the statistics page on the site I used to play mafia on (and still do sometimes).
Scroll down -> List of players -> Believer
If you’d like to familiarize yourself with me and my stats.
The only game affecting commentary I can bring right now is that I think I deserve the item today because of my poor situation. I have not voted in earlier rounds which means I am still level 1 and I am very determined to win this game as it is a comeback from a long break.
If you have any questions just ask.
How does the item help you level up?
It doesn’t, but it should help improve my individual situation and make me feel better about the chances for this game.
If I understand the experience and leveling correctly then I will level up anyways today since I plan to vote for someone at some point. Getting the pendant would just help level the field.
Or to put it to you this way; It should help the overall equality, making sure no one role or person is much stronger than the rest.
I feel like we’re going backwards in this game.
