No game nearly this large. One game with switches (Heroes for Hire 2 - I didn’t control the switches; I was Town and, if I remember correctly, was NK’d). One or two games with 3rd Parties (Town, NK’d). No game with two scum teams.

@Prof, come on man… not only were you in that game, but you were town and made it to end game. And it’s the 2nd most recent game on GB. How can you not remember there were two scum teams as town that had to take down both teams and you made it to end game? I find it really hard to believe that you are having such a hard time as a townie in this game when you made it to end game in that one. I find it even harder to believe that you don’t remember a major part of that game.

To be fair, that was back near Halloween. I barely even remember what I did for New Year’s Eve. I did also have to go back to the Dungeon to dig up the faction names.
They all kind of blur together. I usually just concentrate on the one at hand.

Could you go into those reasons above? The only one I could see was Hooker voted Pleo twice. If that’s it, meh.
I unvoted him, expecting a modkill. Then it was pointed out to me that his posting a screenshot of his pm might not lead to a modkill, so I voted him again. Did you read the exchanges? Didn’t matter one iota wether he was town or not at that point, he deliberately went out of his way to break the game.
On double lynch: Still for it, I hope we can do it, but I suspect we won’t.
See the problem I have is that I was under the assumption that you were having trouble on new ground… but this isn’t new ground for you… maybe in terms of size, but not it terms of complexity. So I thought I’d ask and your response seemed to justify my assumption, but leaving off the one game that shared similarities? If they all blend together, you had an easy enough time with listing the other relevant games. You left off the one that makes you look bad, which makes you look even worse.

Probably not. The mods have said ties are bad. They’ve given us no reason to believe that even with multiple lynches this fact has changed. In fact, NAF’s first vote count post essentially confirms that multiple lynches do not mitigate the problem with a tie.
That brings up an interesting situation.
In an earlier post, I pointed out that each wolf that dies now as long as the Mafia have more numbers than them is a sort of mislynch in the short term from a numbers standpoint. It brings the mafia closer to their goal of winning. Granted, it also brings us closer to our goal of winning since we have to get rid of the wolves to win. But it’s better for us if the Mafia kill the wolves at this point rather than us, and better if we lynch Mafia instead of wolves.
However, eliminating the wolves completely gives us a huge bonus in reduced anti-town kills. And, if we keep pressure on the wolves by voting them, they have no choice but to kill mafia if they want to stand a chance to win. So lakai’s mention of looking for wolves specifically isn’t necessarily a bad strategy. It will force wolves to start shooting for mafia rather than town, otherwise they risk falling so far behind Mafia the chance of them winning the game becomes slim.
Mafia are up by two right now. They have no reason to concentrate on the wolves. And the wolves have 5 players they know aren’t mafia, which is five more than Town knows. So by keeping the pressure on the wolves, we increase our chances of taking out mafia through them.
Granted, lynching mafia directly is probably a better outcome. But the point is keeping pressure on the wolves while worse in the short term has a naturally balancing effect in both increased chance of finding mafia with wolf help and decreased chance in town deaths.
Just starting to read today*. I am chagrined by **Toejam’s **reveal. I really felt he was scum. I am feeling the same about **Thingfish’s **reveal. I thought he came across as town. Will post as I read.

My bold. It is though. It’s all those mechanics, switches, multilynch, two scum teams, plus some others like Day/Night kills with corresponding Day/Night powers (that wasn’t in HoH3) and the game is huge. Still strange he didn’t remember.
