I posted about my switch because there was no reason to conceal it anymore.
Color is just color, but
(1) The entire thing is in BLUE (which is a color of an entirely different sort).
(2) Blue stuff is supposed to treated as mod-gospel
(3) There really isn’t any reason to believe storyteller would comment on Pleonast’s luck if it weren’t true.
Speculation on how Pleonast was unlucky:
(i) Pleonast indicated to the moderators that he was going to claim but got killed before he could do so… was Pleonast’s power a day power or night power?
(ii) Pleonast’s switch kept getting flipped to the off position and didn’t get any reads in
(iii) Pleonast’s reads are all dead.
Good catch.
No, It’s storyteller. He likes to embellish stuff.
I think you’re exactly backwards here. Absent any actual information to the contrary, we have no reason to believe that a mod would give us clues about the Seer’s results.
Or, Pleo was the unluckiest seer because he was killed and didn’t SEE it coming.
What? Only 8 posts since last night? Usually it’s like 100 or so.
Well, it’s not like everybody hasn’t decided whom to lynch*. Maybe I’ll just get NK’d by Batman or the Wolves**.
- I’m Town.
** No, really.
Guess it’s time for you to get on your final cases, then. You know, to help town after you go and flip blue?
Isn’t there some sort of rule on the Dope about not talking about pets without supplying pictures of them, lest we forever be left wanting in our cuteness rations?
The ghostly wolf is right!
I will see what I can do…if I can figure out how to post a picture.
And Biotop revealing his possession of the switch and how he used it isn’t overt? I mean, he didnt have to claim. He could have not said anything ever and we wouldn’t know because there is no death reveal. He didn’t have to give us any info on how he used it, but he did. And then Lakai came in and made an IMO illogical interpretation of his claim. If he’s scum, why would he include info no one asked for and potentially incriminates himself? A slip? So he planned out how he was going to false claim holding the switch but not what he was going to say about how he used it? Lakai’s whole case, and yes I consider it a case because it was accompanied by a vote, was illogical to me and a wasted or parked vote.
Lakai’s suspicion, accompanied with a vote 24 hours before end of Day is not putting pressure on someone, it’s parking a vote at the end of the Day. I’m glad you both moved your votes, but when he is clearly not going to be in the lead it didn’t put any pressure on him and was not a good or logical vote. I’m going to call that out in the hopes that I’m pointing out something they hadn’t considered and would move their vote. In case you didn’t notice, your votes were necessary to get a double lynch. So one off votes that don’t make sense to me are going to get called out.
If I’ve poisoned your well, it’s because I thought it was dry.
Please don’t talk to me like I am an idiot.
I took it as ironic. Since it seems that Pleonast actually got scum with his first 2 reads, he was actually very lucky (or, more fairly, good at educated guesses).
Well then. missed most of the Night- [sub] but to be fair if you had the kind of 24 hours I just did checking on this gang would be the last of your worries–[/sub]
My gut was right on ** Boozie ** (I don’t think I posted it though.) so it counts for naught.
**Pleo ** my gut was wrong- need to rethink my tops. ( sorry about that chief)
** Prof P ** I feel I am right about. Nearly lynched twice and a Town swings instead? add to it the seer’s take. yep ( pitbulliNg a bad idea and using a dead Town innaccurately- helps them not)
I do think that the ‘under the radar’ players need some heat at this stage of the game.
going forward wolves may post a bit carefully . Mafia may be cocky
If I wake up dead that is what I said.

Can you shed some light on how one uses the vote robot?

The robot I wrote does not have an on-line version. I have to run it on my own machine and then upload its output to a message board.

Is this something you would be willing to share? If so, what are the requirements to run it?

I assume you’re now dead in the game …
I remain willing to run the program and post its output somewhere (in the Day thread after Dusk?). There was some talk of doing that, but Mods never gave me the go-ahead.
As for the program itself: Fetching the thread is not fully automated. And the executable requires cygwin to run. I did send a copy of the source code to Chronos for his separate project but have no plan to “publish” the source more generally.

Stupid text bulleten board medium causing miscomunication…
I gave septimus the go ahead to publish final vote counts at the end of each Day, I just don’t want him popping up mid round and posting stuff. I’ll go track him down. Feel free to have him double check with me by PM here Paul.
I’m glad to see that my suspicions about Boozahol were not misplaced. My only concern about Prof. Pepperwinkle is my experience is that when the players have decided before Day has even begun who they are going to kill, the Day ends up being lackluster with little for Town to show for it.

So we have to run everything by you before we can ask questions of another player? What are you, Biotop’s court appointed defense council? Not liking a case is not a good reason to hijack a developing conversation. Quite simply, shutting down any conversation that is in its infancy is counter-productive. Do you have a read on Biotop? I don’t. But I saw a nice opportunity to poke at Biotop and see how he reacted. How is that not worthwhile?
You want to disagree? That’s fine. But don’t pretend that interjecting yourself is somehow noble or ‘correct.’ You may be right, you may be wrong, but most importantly, you shouldn’t know either way. Maybe it is a good case; maybe it’s a bad case and Biotop is scum anyway. I don’t know… that’s what I was trying to figure out! This shouldn’t be rocket science. It would have been nice to let the conversation develop, and I’m flabberghasted that you can’t see why jumping in was premature. I’m also shocked that you can be so sure that Lakai’s case against Biotop was wrong. You shouldn’t know that.
And the idea that Biotop is either 100% lying or 100% telling the truth is laughable. The theory doesn’t require Biotop to be lying about having the doc switch. The theory hinges on truth mixed with lies, because that is what scum do. Scummy Biotop felt that revealing his switch was a townie-ish thing to do. The doc was dead so it didn’t matter either way. It certainly wouldn’t hurt scum. But his reasoning for flipping switches gave a bit more that deserved scrutiny. Was he thinking like a Townie would think?

Hey, maybe we’ll get lucky and either I’ll be NK’d or we’ll get another multilynch*.
*BTW, I’m Town.

LOL. Yes, it appears you have to ask permission and then it’s granted only if you make a case and a vote first.

This line of questioning sounds an awful lot like you think Koldanar is an unclaimed cultist… and if so, you are attempting to pressure him into claiming. If you don’t think you found scum, what good does it do town to confront him?
