Let me start by saying that I think my post came off snarkier than I had intended. I apologize for that.

I disagree with Town being unable to hunt scum worth a damn. The game is huge, and a lot of the normal things that Town uses are less effective(since both sets of scum in this game can truly honestly hunt scum without having to fake it since there’s two of them), so 3 days worth of mislynches is just not that bad. There’s been a lot of Town deaths on top of that sure, but that’s to be expected with the sheer number of total kills that exist(at least 3 repeatable ones that we know of, 2 semi one shots, and evidence of at least one more). But in terms of percentage of starting players, Town isn’t actually that bad off. It just look worse because the absolute numbers are higher than people are used to. D1 is pretty crap shooty though, that is unquestionable.

And yes, I voted for Town. Of course, just about everyone did. Just noting that by itself is disingenuous though. D1 was a crapshoot, and I think my vote was well placed if ultimately wrong. D2 I wasn’t here for the last half of the Day due to family issues, as I stated, so I don’t know how much that says. And there’s no way I was moving my vote off Idle D3, based on the way he was acting and how far outside of the correct way to play his actions were. So while I did in fact vote for Town, I don’t feel like I should feel bad for doing so. I was doing what seemed to be the best thing for Town at the time. Hindsight shows that to be wrong, but you know what they say about hindsight.

Sorry if I came off as abrasive as well. I wasn’t really saying your choices were that bad, more that everyone’s have been, and for the reasons you just stated. On with the hunt.

tiny observation about the vote counts- not much but since I did it I will post

Day one the front runners were all 4 Town
discounting those who only had one voter at all-
Pleo-JohnnyB-Boozy- got some attention
Day two front runners were 2 Town and a claimed 3P
Pleo-SNF were the only others that had more than 2 votes at any time.
Day three I am not sure we can glean anything from the voting.the Idle show borked the data IMO
I am working with the theory that at least one of the players gaining votes are Scum each Day ( I have to think so)

not sure what do do with it at this time.

Adding to that: septimus had five votes on him at one point, which made him feel he needed to claim.

I did leave the known (ie dead) players out of the mix. For my porpoise they were not needed going forward

Pretty unlikely. Jesters are generally considered Bastard and unfun. I can’t see the mods choosing to do that.

He could be mafia, but if that’s the case I suspect the wolves will want him dead soon enough. They are down by two and need to even that out if they don’t want to lose as the game gets smaller. I wouldn’t be surprised if their next kill was Prof or Lakai. Prof because it seems likely he is either mafia or town, lakai because she seems to be hunting for wolves specifically.

How would wolfes know him to be mafia? To them he could be Town or Cult or… Unless investigated. And that we can’t know.

And I’m confused why you think either Prof or Lakai??

non- what? There’s a joke there, I’m sure. I had a similar reaction to Boozy’s post, but I was reconstructing his posts and it seems to fall in place. His first post makes multiple leaps and is confusing as hell but now it’s clearer that he thinks wolves may be framing him to save Prof.P. His next post highlights how he was just looking at the vote totals, and had not given weight to Angel’s defense of Prof.P., he was only considering her suspicions of himself. His third post kinda opens up his thought process, why did they kill Angel? They were framing someone. Who? Himself. Then he explains that framing Boozy would distract attention from someone who was likely in danger, and Prof. P. is the best candidated. Ergo, Prof. P. is scum. It sort of makes sense. I agree that it displays paranoia, and may indicate a survivor or PFK role, but likely not wolf, maybe mafia.

Fat fingers. I was replying to your post about Prof. P and now-proven-townie Angel’s defense of him, and said it was a point in his favor. I then wanted to contrast that with Nanook’s comment that maybe wolves killed her specifically so people would think exactly that but I couldn’t find his post anywhere on page 1 so I cut the first bit until I came across it again. And then I noticed something else in his post and got distracted.

I have no idea how you’re getting that out of what I said. I was commenting specifically on the idea that the Wolves killed Angel to protect a Wolf Prof. That idea, and that idea alone, does not make any sense for the reasons outlined. Did the Wolves kill Angel? Most likely yes, since the simplest explanation for the deaths that occurred are Wolf kill Angel, Hitman kills Toejam.

I see. I may have skipped a step in my logic:

Angel is non-wolf. She has unshakable faith that wolfie Prof. P. is Town
Wolves consider killing her:

• if she flips Town, Prof. P. looks great due to halo effect
• if she flips mafia, Prof. P. looks like mafia, and could get lynched next due to association
  You believe there’s too much of a risk involved so…
  Either wolves decide not to kill her OR Prof. P. is not scum

I’m asking you if your deduction is that wolves decided not to kill her, cause the alternative is that Prof. P. is not a wolf, but you did not state this or seem to arrive at this conclusion. Make sense now? Or am I missing an alternative?

Somewhat. I had limited internet which faded to no internet as the week went on, I stopped being able to follow along just after Idlegate. I ended up yesterDay with a vote on ToeJam as a claimed doctor which obviously I would have switched, but honestly I would most likely have switched it to Idle since I genuinely thought he was scum until his meltdown.

Also, skiing was great

I understand what you are asking now. That is not what I’m saying. I’m saying that the logical argument “The wolves killed Angel to make a Wolf Prof P look good” doesn’t hold water. But since you pressed me on it, I can see that can be taken even farther. Prof P probably isn’t a Wolf, since a Wolfy Prof P couldn’t know Angel wouldn’t flip Mafia, which would paint a huge target on his back. So if Prof P is scum, he’s Mafia. Which I still think is very likely.

I have a feeling we could use it more productive. But pulling together on votes in mafia - despite good intent - is something we never seem to really accomplish

In reading through Thing Fish’s postings he is among the first to I find that **Boozahol **was suspicious for the “canoodle” question on Night 0, and in post N0 #238 throws out the “ceremonial first FOS of the game” towards Boozahol.

Does Thing Fish follow up his FOS when the real game starts? No. Instead (Day1 #141) he finds Total Lost’s suspicions of ToeJam to be the more “egregious” example of possible Scum asking questions to mods of which they already know the answer. D1#327 he likes the cases against both Colby and ToeJam, but no longer mentions Boozahol Squid. Thing Fish tangles with Pleonast for much of the time over the next two game Days while also posting cases on MHaye and** Hal Briston**. When he finally gets back to** Boozahol**, it is only in the context of analyzing Brewha voters (Day3, #263). He still gives Boozahol a slight Scum lean. In doing so he says Boozahol was “weird and overaggressive on Day 1, Townier since.”

My impression is that** Thing Fish** wanted to draw suspicion on Boozahol, without it* really *drawing suspicion-- Scum team members trying to create separation. Of course maybe Thing Fish was just throwing out cases and leans he didn’t really have any intention of following, just to see what would stick. As someone else pointed out, Scum don’t care who dies, as long as it is not their team. But in reading **Thing Fish’**s postings I get the feel everything is measured. You can almost see the ruler marks in these posts. Odd he did not follow up on Boozahol.

There are other concerns that point to Boozahol as Scum:

1. Vote on** Hawkeyeop** for making his N0 “unfair to Scum” comment on Day 1. Does he really think a Scum player would argue about whether a tactic was fair or unfair to Scum on Night 0? Poor vote.
2. Complains to Mods about how Town roles don’t have cool names, being sure to refer to “us” as Town. Seems forced, phony light talk with hidden agenda of aligning himself with Town.
3. Spends lots of time wanting to vote for the cult and then voted for Crys75 on Day 3 before deciding now Day 4 we probably shouldn’t go after the cult.
4. Worries on Day 4 about what the Angel Town flip means for him. He votes Professor Pepperwinkle and then unvotes him. This whole exchange is troublesome. I have no problem with his initial suspicion of and arguments with Angel, who plays a great Scum game. I have no problem with his suspicion of Professor Pepperwinkle because I still think he (PP) could flip Scum, but not LUTHA. But I do have a problem with Boozahol’s voting self concern over Town concern.
   5. Angel of the North’s death removes a major Boozahol accuser.
