So, you all have seen the godfather right? Like, I’m not worried about spoiling anyone? I remember when I saw the godfather the first time I was like 13 or 14 watching it at home on vhs or maybe brand new DVD and I’m about an hour in an my Dad walks in and say “oh, the Godfather huh? What part are you up to?” I reply… Something, I’m not sure what, and my dad says "is that before or after Sonny gets killed? To which I reply " Sonny dies?! Thanks a lot dad! "
I didn’t have the correct concept of spoilers yet.
I say that to say this. This game is sorta kinda a sequel to the M2 game I ran way back when, and that game was based a little bit on the Godfather, with some serious urban fantasy overtones thrown in at the end. So right now I sort of feel like we reached the point where Sonny dies, only, this game doesn’t have a Sonny surrogate, it’s only got Michael. And well, now Michael’s dead. No pulling him back in, he was just gunned down right at the start of the second movie. So like, who runs the mafia now? Its all very confusing for me.
On the flip side this is a real win for all the other factions.
Guiri, ya dead. He was the Godfather.
And a darned good one too. You did Don Storyteller proud. Take a bow.
Trivia question for the Day. The Godfather had an Oscar taken away. Which Oscar and why?
Winner get a vote count ad or other prize of their choosing (within reason)
I was actually thinking it would have been the wolves, who then saw the bounce and knew that Guiri was the godfather.
If we take that as a given, we might be able to look back and see if anybody was trying to engineer a lynch on Guiri. That would mean saving a nightkill and getting cred for taking down a mafia.
First of all, * dear *** Guiri ** (I see you are now dead- but I will leave the salutation as written)
You snipped my post and removed part of my intent.
“Not sure what to make of it but: Starting Day four it appears that Mafia are focusing their DK on claimed Town/LUTHA roles= they don’t appear to be too concerned at this time with the Wolves.
Wolves on the other foot seem to be killing random non claimed. ( perhaps in an attempt to hit Mafia.)
Should this be considered with a mass claim being discussed?”
I have yet to suggest anything- I brought it up because it might should be considered.
I am on the fence about a mass claim at this time.
Are * you * suggesting we help the Wolves?
good point.
I think the Patsy should claim vanilla in a mass claim- in a lynch situation, I am not sure. Of course if they claim vanilla and later claim Patsy, we will probably lynch them anyway— so I dunno
“If we entertain it I think all LUTHA should claim before any Town”
LUTHA still need to convince Town that they plan to play pro-Town.
If Town all claim and remaining LUTHA decide to stay quiet (like they have been) we shoot ourselves in the foots.
At this point
We would have 6 truly claimed Town- one claimed LUTHA- and [DEL]12 [/DEL] 11 claiming vanillas- I don’t like those numbers so much.
[sub] funny as I was composing this I was thinking- Guiri is probably Scum -[/sub]
So in other words, you’re against a mass claim unless LUTHA sign off on it.
No, I don’t like that. The mass claim is town’s decision. Specifically, it’s the decision of the remaining power roles.
LUTHA could choose not to take part in the claim, but I think it would be a dangerous decision for them. It would put them in the lynch pool and also the pool that each of the scum teams will be shooting into. I’m okay with that.
I agree it is Town’s decision. Hence the discussion
and if they later claim LUTHA they will be lynched anyway.
BUT as I observed earlier- Mafia are currently picking off claimed Town power roles with a side of LUTHA.
If LUTHA * don’t * claim Town will be sorely damaged.
you seem pretty certain Town powers * should * claim- but the other non-Scums don’t need to?
Anyway, so do you guys remember this from early yesterDay?
This smelled like bait to me so I didn’t answer it. I was hoping someone else would, then see if they died. Well nobody answered it. The obvious answer to it is that The tinkerer jammed all the switches on.
I know this because I am the stinky and sticky one of the basement and I did so do that (jam the switches on Night 6). I felt like Biotop was crafty enough to have realized that was the answer and purposefully left off that option as a fishing attempt to flush me out. Well now I guess is the time to come out on my own terms.
Night 2 I blocked The Consigliere and The Omega…but that was so long ago, I can’t really remember why.
Night 6, like I said, I jammed all the switches on.
Last Night I used my cameras to see what Biotop did on D/N7 and he did…Should I give him a chance to say what he did before continuing?
This post is a bit rushed because I have some work to do right now, but I will be on later and am open to answering questions later (like in an hour or 2).
There are only three unclaimed power roles remaining. A mason, the patsy, and the zoning inspector. Everyone else can comment, but at the end of the day it’ll be up to each of those three to claim or not to claim.
We’re well past the point where it can be called a “mass claim.” It’s really more of a “remnants of our power roles” claim.
Either way, I’d personally suggest waiting to see if there are any modkills. It might change the calculus here.
Yes. I was also thinking that it was a missed wolf kill, so they have long suspected him of being the godfather.
I remember someone said earlier that they had concerns about Guiri because he is killer scum (or words similar to that). Although it’s going to be quite an effort to find that post. I’ll see what I can do.
That doesn’t make sense to me. What night do you think it was? And why would they wait so long to kill Guiri if they suspected he was the godfather? Why would they have killed Hooker last night, instead of Guiri, or instead of MHaye who surprisingly is still alive.
