This is a really good point. I was starting to completely disbelieve koldanar’s claim after the discrepancy in tone was pointed out, but I thought the same thing about brewha and look how that turned out.

Yeah, restating what I posted very late in the Day7 thread, I think the PM POWER fluffiness to be a non-issue.

Not that I have been the most prolific (or skilled) hunter, but I am going out of town for a couple of days and will only have limited access until Saturday.

That’s a good point, but I really hate the idea of dismissing evidence with “the game might be written inconsistently” as the reasoning.

What about having the same BACKGROUND as the Deacons? He’s a different role within the same faction, but there is no common BACKGROUND for the other three factions.

Ok, if we are going to be really picky with the role PMs:

That is the heading of Koldanar’s alleged PM. Here is the heading for a Werewolf:

Note it doesn’t say “you are a The Trickster Werewolf” on the first line. It just says the role, “The Trickster”, while Koldanar’s PM has his role and faction on the first line.

Also on the second line the Alignment is Third Party. But when our first cult member died, the game mods forgot to mention his alignment, and then when prompted, they said it was “cult” not “third party”. Wouldn’t that mean that the official game PM should read “ALIGNMENT: Cult”?

Lets ponder for a second that Koldanar is lying. What is there to gain? Is he scum trying to settle into a role claim before he is in danger of being lynched, before it looks desperate? That would be a very risky move by scum, especially since the other two cult members could counter claim.

Is he a lying cult member? How can he benefit from lying? What is he lying about? Is he not a pontiff? Is he something more sinister?

timing and such and the redirects don’t make sense to me for target or victim.

I can’t find where/if it was posted, but on the Days he redirected did he broadcast any suspicions of the players manipulated?

If **Koldanar **has been flipping his switch every night, then it seems someone still living (at least still living as of yesterDay) must have the other GLaDOS switch. How else to explain the extra deaths?

Why has this person not come forward?

Possibilities:

  1. Scum have the other switch. If this is the case and **Koldanar **is telling the truth, then one Scum team started with the advantage of knowing about GLaDOS.

  2. A LUTHA member has the other switch. Again assuming **Koldanar **is telling the truth, that means the SK would have been totally in LUTHA control. Does that seem likely?

  3. Town has the other switch. But why not come out and say so?

  4. Another killer is at work. GLaDOS was actually switched off.

  5. **Koldanar **is lying.

I don’t much like any of these possibilities, but I do not see any other choices.

another thing- I recall ** Koldanar ** stated they thought the other switch holder was dead ( not sure when.) but- if they threw their switch every Night [i\]( was it a Night action claimed?) * then - have they since qualified how the extra deaths occurred?
or am I out of sync with the timing?

I find this curious as well.
Town does not have a Doc left. Day and Night Kills are happening, but the claimed remains alive=
Is there a Town friendly rogue doc power?- ( of course that would mean there was another Killing power)

Hey, just as a note, there might be mod kills coming tomorrow. Real time tomorrow. I got swamped with a work emergency today and have not been able to check posts from the previous Day /Night cycle.

I think it’s clear that Koldanar has edited his PM. I’m not sure why.

Is it because he’s scum and fake-claiming LUTHA? That seems like a risky thing to do, but it is certainly possible. The town has shown no inclination to lynch LUTHA, and at the time of his claim the mafia had only killed Sachertorte. Is it possible that Koldanar is either the Godfather or the Alpha wolf? And is more worried about being lynched than night killed because he has a 1-shot protection from NKs?

Or is he LUTHA and there is something he’s hiding about LUTHA or about his role? I’m not sure I buy the re-director role. Koldanar, do you know what happens if you redirect someone like the seer? Do they know that they have been redirected? If the seer investigated Chronos and you redirected them to Hal, would the seer just get the result: scum, or would they get the result: Hal is scum. I can’t see how this is supposed to help LUTHA, not to mention town.

There was also something odd in the switch PM:

It looks like the “kill you all” refers to the cult. It looks like this PM only would have gone to cult members.

Yes - GladOS is a potato for a while in Portal 2. Are you thinking this is a residual Cookies kill?

Although something does seem fishy about Koldanar’s claim, I can’t help but think if it’s fake that he would have been more careful about it jiving with the other role descriptions. If you’re going to go to the trouble of attempting a fake role claim, you’re going to be meticulous about it’s wording.

I do agree that a redirection power is an odd thing to give the cult, and the way it has been used is a bit iffy.
