Someone once posted a trick that would allow someone (me) copying and reading a thread to access the entire thread at once to copy & paste over in Word (or some such). I think it was a formula ending in %%, but I don’t find the note I made way back when. I’d find it very helpful. Thank you.
That’s me, baby!
I agree with the Idle and Meeko votes. Ok, maybe not the Meeko vote, but I understand your issue.
The rest of your votes, however, don’t make any sense and seem to be pretty far removed from anyone else’s lists. Consider my stinkeye hovering over you.
Hopefully there will be a time when I AM a mafia term. To pull an SNF. Or “Oh man, did you get Faulknered!” I’m never having kids so that would be my only legacy.
This intrigues me. But I’m not sure in the positive or negative way. Let me know what you feel about her after actually reading Satcher’s claim and breadcrumbs…
I’m glad people in the know are chiming in on this. I’ll gladly move my vote to Idle if need be.
Thank you for running the numbers… I couldn’t make them work but these make sense to me. I wanted to expand on your final statement that as the game goes on it would narrow the pool that the cultists need to look in.

It’s D3 and NOW you are going to start seriously playing the game? Gee thanks for joining us.

Hey SNF, I’d be willing to use your moniker as a mafia term.
Right on! I’m not sure I have a trademarkable move or gambit yet though.
As I said before, but didn’t vote, I like the Idle argument for meta reasons. I still think the problem of ToeJam needs to be resolved, but for now…
**Vote Idle Thoughts. **
I agree with your assessment of Thing Fish’s analysis… with one objection. How have I been hypocritical? I fully admit that I was wrong about Brewha and that it does make for a strong case against me. I am aware that I played a pretty vocal role in Brewha’s lynch in spite of the possibility he was telling the truth. Im not building cases againdt players based on their participation in Brewha’s lynch. So please detail how I am being hypocritical.

Seek No Further comes to mind.
I would add that my general observation of Idle is that when things don’t go his way he lacks enthusiasm and thus participates very little if at all. I agree that it is known he hates being scum and has been vocal about it in the past. His presence elsewhere is also support for him not liking his role, but could also be that he didn’t realize how huge this game would become when he thought it would be fun. I’m guessing 1000+ posts per day is too much for him and he is either scum or other role he doesn’t like and is either comfortable being mod killed at this point or is waiting for the game to get more manageable before he blesses us with his participation.

Me too. But what can it be?
the way I read your post that was what you drew out --arg
OK what about the posts since then? from your suspects?
If D1 posts could solve he game we wouldn’t have many
In Idle’s defense, he catches heat for claiming VT every game, and in this game he caught heat for not doing it, at least immediately. If he wanted to change his behavior at this point, he couldn’t do so without attracting suspicion.

Why are you defending Idle?
The case isn’t that he didn’t claim Day One.
It’s that he didn’t claim Day One, lurked or went AWOL, and asked for a sub.
Them’s the breaks. Are you worried about losing a teammate?
You’re welcome!
Based on the last game, he doesn’t want to change. He wants everyone to just accept it because that’s how he plays.
As I have said, I’m fine with your vote. I think it’s a solid case. You are wrong, but your logic is sound. I made a mistake. Do you honestly not see why I was for a Brewha lynch? Should I elaborate? Because it seems that you are not commenting on my posts that explain why I thought it was sketchy people were fleeing Brewha in droves… or why I remained on Brewha in spite of the possibility that he was telling the truth and holding the batswitch. Nothing about my vote was policy.
-
Brewha lied. This is not a policy statement justifying my vote, it’s a reason to be suspicious of anyone. It’s what made me look at him and assess what his motivations were.
-
His claim was unprovoked. Why would a townie announce they were holding a switch if they know the switch they are holding is likely paired with a switch in scum possession? It’s a bad play.
-
I saw a really good scum motivation for Brewha’s unprovoked claim. I explained it before and will do so again. I’ll use spoiler tags to reduce the size of this post.
[Spoiler] If scum hold a batswitch, then it makes sense to me that they would want to take out the holder of the matching switch. How do they find out who is holding that switch? Well I guess Brewha could just tell them, but again I see that as a bad play, but that’s exactly what happened. Back to the hypothetical. If scum wanted to neuter batman, and assume that town hold the other switch, then claiming to hold the batswitch could provoke a townie holding the switch to counterclaim. If that townie didn’t counterclaim they would be allowing town to be misinformed when it is likely that the person claiming is scum because the odds of town holding both switches is low. But a scum team strategizing should come to the conclusion that the scum who claimed to hold the switch would end up in hot water, so it would make more sense to hand off the PM info to a scum member not holding the switch and have them make the claim. If successful the scum would gain control of the Batswitch.
Which part of this is illogical? Is it too paranoid? This is a complex game with a lot of very experience and very skilled players. If I could think of this possible scenario, then I have to assume that better players could also think of it. I was wrong, but I stand by my logic. If you disagree we can discuss that, but I don’t see how it would benefit town to argue over it at this point, the time for those arguments was before Brewha’s lynch.

You have a problem with me not addressing Biotop’s post where he cautions that lynching Brewha risks town losing our batswitch. I was very vocal in my suspicions of Brewha. I thought he was scum and involved in an attempt to out the town batswitch. Obviously if that is my position I am not worried about being wrong. To me it makes the hypothetical scum ploy even better because town wouldn’t want to lynch them and risk losing the switch. But I was wrong.

It’s not an arbitrary time of the Day. I have seen way to many anti-town vote swings at the end of Days. It often results in a mislynch and doesn’t give the chance for the new lynch candidate to defend themselves. I’ve even seen it result in a town power role having to scramble to claim in order to prevent being mislynches, which then caused even more chaos and resulted in a mislynch anyway. End of Day swings are bad for town. If you want to consider this bad policy, fine. I think that is an oversimplification and a poor assessment, but you are free to think what you want about game theory.
-
Some townies do get passed off at being lynched. I think that’s bad play. Especially if they become insulting to other players. A townie under pressure of lynch should be defending themselves and attempting to make a stronger case against people they suspect to be scum. That is a pro-town reaction to finding yourself in the hot seat.
I don’t hold it against you for being suspicious of me. I have only myself to blame. But I think you have made your case against me and placed a solid vote based on sound logic. Now please take off your blinders and continue scum hunting. If you think I am scum, then there are 13 other scum you should be worried about identifying instead of focusing only on me. You won’t know until I flip, but you are wasting your time. Unless you have new points that demand answers I don’t see how continuing to rehash your suspicions of me is pro-town. Please continue to look for scum beyond me, I’m not asking for you to remove your vote, just look for other scum and build cases on other people. Don’t quit looking because you think you’ve got one in the bag.

NETA. I forgot to discuss that up until very late in the Day, Brewha was lynch leader with Crys in second. People leaving Brewha had not only removed them from being held responsible for Brewha’s wagon, it also made it more likely we were going to lynch a claimed cultist. I’ve been pretty clear I am against lynching the cultists right? You can go ahead and add that the list of my logic points that you disagree with or consider illogical.

Hal doesn’t have a known stance to hating being scum to the point that they will sub out or just stop playing if handed a scum role. If you think meta game logic is fair in this game, the case against Idle is pretty sound.
