WTF? You want to be modkilled, so you post in a thread so that the modkill train stops rolling, then decide that you want to fuck with Town and withdraw your modkill request because some in Town were trying to give you what you wanted?
The hell?
I am feeling extremely irritated by this, which means I might vote out of anger, which is generally a bad idea. I’m going to hold off on switching my vote for now so that I get less irritated and more rational, but at this moment I’m inclined to switch to voting for Idle.
I’m not trolling anyone. I have people voting for me for–in their very own words–meta reasons.
Since when is THAT a good thing to wager into a vote?
You want me to start a collection of multi quotes in a post of how many people say “Meta reasons” as to why their voting for me? It’ll go on pretty long let me tell you. You should me MORE angry at people who vote for weak reasons than for those who speak up at those who vote for weak reasons.
I’m not trying to piss off anyone…I just think the whole “modkill him so we get another free chance at scum” is a version of cheating/unfair play.
Let me guess, now you’re gonna quote to me the post where I said “now I’m going to stay in the game, just to piss you off”, right? Well, sorry, I’m invalidating that by “you deserve to be irritated due to trying to take the cheating, easy way out”.
What does me being a mod have to do with anything, by the way? It’s all part of the game.
You haven’t contributed at all, you haven’t given us any notice that you can’t contribute, I can’t know if you’ve asked for a sub or not, but your return here suggests that you haven’t - You derail your own modkill by asking for a modkill? Seriously? And now you’re pissy because people wanna eliminate you from this game? I’m much more willing to put my trust in another players (who, you know, have contributed to the game) meta knowledge of you, than trusting you right now.
Also: You’re not playing now, you’re pissing people off and defending pissing people off. There is a difference between playing and posting.
For the record, Idle’s reactions to his “please mod kill me” response have fairly well convinced me that I was right:
So, to put it clearly. The working theory behind my vote is this:
Idle Thoughts is scum. He didn’t particularly want to be scum, but he’s been utilizing his role power, coordinating via his scum board. When it looked like he was going to be modkilled, it was suggested (by him or his comrades, doesn’t matter) that he go post something for the purpose of avoiding the lurker rule.
Let’s note that Idle posted TWICE. One post was the one that was directly to the mods. The other was a general post. Just in case “posting to the mods” didn’t count as a game post as far as that rule goes.
But then NAF posted. He said, “Yeah, we might go ahead and modkill him since he asked for it.”
Uh oh. That wasn’t the plan. So Idle Thoughts, who was perfectly content to be modkilled, is suddenly OUTRAGED BEYOND BELIEF that anybody would want him modkilled.
Where do I keep those dubious smilies? Here they are.
This vote is for the integrity of the game- this is uncool no matter which team he’s on.
And I still think he’s more likely to be scum. Under the circumstances though I do think a modkill is in order.
(I was a town vig in a game once where someone acted like this. I was almost entirely sure he was town and he really crossed a line, but the mods wouldn’t touch him. So I killed him so the game could go on.)

A suspicious player who can’t or won’t play and has asked for a modkill, lynch, or sub?
So this was your party, and you’re making it so you actively hurt Town, while claiming to be Town?
This is pure, unadulterated crap. Let’s boil this down, shall we?
Idle Thoughts: “Please modkill me.”
Johnny Bravo: “Well, good. We can focus on somebody else.”
Idle Thoughts: “WHAT!? You’re okay with me being modkilled!? CHEATER! THAT’S THE EASY WAY OUT!”
Bullcrap, dude. I’m having lots of trouble believing that you could actually believe that nonsense.
This is the second time I’ve seen someone say something like this. What makes anyone think I was going to be modkilled?
Anyway, to the rest of your post: Yes, I am playing. I’m trying to defend myself against accusations that I’m scum, but see, the reasons being given are fairly shallow, weak, and foolish, so I don’t really know what to say other than “you’re wrong”. Yeah, thrilling and strong defense that is, I know.
And how are you going to feel when you turn out to be wrong?
Bolding mine: And what made me a suspicious player in the first place, pray tell?
Uh, no, it went more like this:
Idle Thoughts: Please take one of the three possible options that removes me from the game
Johnny Bravo: WOOHOO! Yesss… Make it a modkill, mods! That way we don’t have to waste a lynch on him if he IS really town!!
Idle Thoughts: That’s pretty unfair, I think I will start playing after all.
