I think it may be possible to leave off a 3 month job from a resume. If asked, you can mention you worked one small job and that it didn’t work out.

I have had a couple friends work for Amazon in one of their warehouses. Zero idea if any available ones are in Georgia, though. Ever try that?

I just worked my third straight 10+ hour shift at the grocery store because we can’t find any help. I understand the situation is industry-wide. Try your local food mart.

Well, this is coincidental. I have a friend who just left a job at Amazon in Brasilton, GA, and they were definitely hiring as of last month. He had to move to Pennsylvania for other reasons, but said they were enlarging. The benefits, he says, aren’t bad. Meeko, if you want, I can see about getting the name of a contact person should that be needed.

Wow, that’s awesome. Meeko, get the info.! I’m not saying working for Amazon is perfect, but my friend did it for years and after many renewals of temporary work contracts, he was eventually put on full-time permanent staff. It can happen.

And to answer Total Lost’s two questions:

1. You ask why one post pinged me when I disregarded a few other people’s posts that seem just the same? Look at the posts you cited. Those were comprehensive lists of suspicion which, in context, give you far more of an idea of what people think, instead of a list of “townfolk” without context (which was what Thing Fish put down)
2. I emit votes based on “flawed logic”. Like I said, what you feel is “flawed logic” actually spotted two scum folk. How many have you spotted with your “logic”? And also, the thing with me is that in a game of this size I try to spot something interesting and hang on to that. I put on some kind of blinders, if you will, and let noise fly by (in this case Idle Thought is a pretty good example of noise)

1. It’s not so much the fact that you didn’t trust a list of “townfolk” - it’s more that you vote for Thing Fish while totally ignoring what AngleoftheNorth was saying regarding Prof. Pepper that made me wonder if your reason for voting was genuine.
2. Everyone knows my logic stinks - so you will not get any defend from me regarding that
   But the “flawed logic” was to me a way to say, that IF you truly believe that a list of “townfolk” is so bad it needs to be voted for - what do you then make of the other list and of Angles being persistent in stating that she is convinced Prof. Pebber would have been a mis-lynch?

Also I have seen a bit of similar list in this game - and really don’t recall people being voted for them with out any extra data being provided.

I do understand the need to ignore Idle (wish more had done that) - but you ignored a lot of questions from other players and you never even commented on Guiri’s post on you here: http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=19957291&postcount=740

Rubbish! While I agree fluff will make things more difficult, it also makes thing more fun. Fluff away, I say!

I think in a game this size we do need to be a bit more selective about which of our bons morts are worthy of being posted, but I endorse your pro-fluff position, provided only that it be quality fluff, free of stems and seeds.

I don’t remember the wording of the theory exactly, but I strongly subscribe to it. Scum often can’t resist Easter Eggs like that.

Is the theory that scum will breadcrumb that they’re scum just so they can gloat at the end of the game or when they get lynched? That sounds like a really stupid thing to do.

The only gloating theory that I can remember is that scum are often way too quick to mourn the deaths of townies that they had a hand in killing the night before.

Scum gloating, as far as I’m aware is commenting on townie deaths and being negative about it. “God, that lynch sucked. Town is doomed.” “Ugh, what an awful night. Does Town even have a chance at winning still?”

That’s how I’ve always interpreted it. Breadcrumbing that you are scum is stupid, and really kind of a dick move. “I’m so much better than you, I’m going to tell you I’m scum and still beat you!” As my DM would say, piss off mate.
