As an unfortunate side effect of the lower than expected participation though, I think we’re really going to struggle to achieve a lynch situation where the runner up has 17 votes.

Just installed it, thanks. i had to look up my log in info and Ill try to remember to use it. I just hate having to use a separate browser for this one site. I keep forgetting and then swearing at the Dope when I do.

Looks like we’re not going to get a consensus about whether or not Batman should target me. If I look at switches through the eyes of an electrician, I gotta wonder if the switches are in series or in parallel.

The they are in series - which I assumed - then either of the switches would break the connection and shut off Batman’s powers.

But, if they are parallel, both switches would have to be off to break the connection. If only one switch is off, the power is still active.

I’m flipping my switch tonight.

I guess whether I not I get an attempted vig is up to Batman at this point. If he (and I’m going to use the pronoun “he” for everyone for whom I know not the gender - don’t read anything into it) decides to target someone else, he’ll at least know if my switch shut off his power.

We won’t know if if the other switch holder flipped theirs or whether or not both switches were needed to shut it off.

And, the town isn’t going to know for sure what happened if I survive the night. Did Batman fail to kill me? Did he target someone else and failed? Did his kill go through the the mafia kill(s) were somehow thwarted?

I guess all we really know is that some stuff is going to go down tonight and we’ll have to sort it out when the dust clears.

I think assuming they are in series is the wisest plan, since that’s how they were in last game that featured them.

As for the whole batman plan, I find it overly complex and give it 0% chance of working out the way you want it to. Like if you get killed, how will we know that the factional kill didn’t get you vs. batman? Anyway, regardless of what happens, I do think we will get at least some information out of it. So if you wanna do try it, I’m not going to talk you out of it.

I agree with Biotop in that the very fact you came forward with the switch claim is probably a good indicator that you are town.

My case against you is as follows: in this Night Zero post:

it appears to me that you could be scum trying to persuade your teammates to adopt this strategy of not reading the scum boards and finding out who their teammates are, effectively playing as SKs. Failing that, to breadcrumb to them that you are the “missing” member of their team. I said that I couldn’t think of any reason for you to make that post if you were Town.

Then, you voted for me. I initially thought that you thought I had PIS because I assumed that once the scum went on the scum board, they would find out who each other were. I thought this was about the lamest case imaginable, but the more you try to explain it, the more confusing it gets.

Counter: this is very weak analysis, actually. The fact that scum doesn’t have perfect information doesn’t preclude a weak defense of everyone who ISN’T on their team. It would be interesting if, while doing so, they would by chance vote for someone on the opposing team.
