Personally I don’t see any reason for them to lie. And I fully plan on investigating Sach this evening so if we both survive the night I can semi confirm him/I. Believe me if they come back that they aren’t my faction we will all know if i survive the night.

Ok… if you survive the Night I would be willing to lump the two of you together, but if my suspicions prove correct, then a scum Sach would be planning on you dying toNight or getting lynched (their vote switch edged you closer to that possibility)… and would therefore not need to worry about your investigation.

Everyone gets a FOS? You seem to be up to date on the game… care to go back and deep dive into Brewha and show us what they posted or did that was supposed to have tole us they were town? I didn’t see any townie indicators and saw a bunch of squirming and aggression about getting lynched. I find nothing townie about telling someone that they are misguided and to stop being misguided, without doing any work to provide a case on an alternate suspect that wasn’t the runner up or not participating.

If anything, I find those who jumped wagon last second to be more suspect than those who remained. My vote is on the record… I believed Brewha was scum and I put my money where my mouth was. Anyone jumping ship with nothing major to change their minds, either didn’t believe Brewha was scum in the first place or didn’t want a townie lynch on their vote record.

I have a suggestion.

We tend to focus on events or players present in our minds. And so we miss the lurkers or the “under the radar” or simply post on players based on bias or past games or gut.

This game is huge!! And we need to deal with that.

So I suggest (and will be willing to go first):

Any player can ask me to make a summit of any other player in the game. I have to make a re-read of this player and (very important) state what I make of it.

In exchange I can ask the player I re-read to do the same to a player of my choice.

Ok… I challenge you to do a side by side comparison of post count and content of yourself and Toejam. The fact that he was a close second in D2 lynch based on his participation bugs me when we have so many people, including yourself, who aren’t participating at their usual level, claimed level, have said they will do better, or have mentioned they are having a hard time keeping up. Heck throw Koldanar in the mix too… I feel you could make the same case against him that is being made of Toejam… so why is no one on his case…

For the record, I don’t like Toejam’s participation thus far either… but it’s far from enough to warrant a vote, let alone a bandwagon.

I didn’t ask you to justify not voting for Brewha, I asked for you to show me why I should have believed they were town. By your logic, scum never slip up in the public threads… but they do… I’ve seen it happen… it’s happened to me as scum… so I don’t buy into that. I think I’m still dying today, but probably Day killed rather than Lynched.
But jeez I don’t approve of the span of votes i collected in less than 100 posts. That’s why 2nd lynches are bad. Because it leads to people like Guiri using that as a reason to excuse their vote:

And Mhaye, I’m not going to claim at 10 votes (when you first asked), nor at 14 votes. But it is interesting that you’re voting me and hinting/asking to get a claim out of me. Idle’s vote on me- honestly, all of you guys claiming I’m lurking, how do you feel about Idle? I think he’s gone absent and he’s just never been back here. But it’s interesting that noone brings up his lurking behaviors, but I’m nearly lynched for my previous absence.

Dammit. So frustrating. Like I said, by EoD I felt pretty sure brewha was Town, but how can you blame people for voting an outed liar? Or for voting a claimed 3rd party? And obviously the late ToeJam surge wasn’t scum trying to save brewha. So, 2 days in, 7 Town down, and basically no useful information in the voting records. Scum are making us look like monkeys, and not particularly well trained ones at that. I’m gonna take my sleuthjuice over to the Steelers thread and revisit tomorrow.

I thought that was the position you were taking. Otherwise I found it odd that you are suspicious of people who took the opposite view of the situation.

To be clear… my issue is that you admit it’s possible for a scum to make a similar mistake, but are suspicious of being voting Brewha when that was a large part of the case against him.

I also don’t like that before the reveal you had no problem with people voting Brewha, you just didn’t think we were right. After the reveal now you are suspicious of all of us? You were right, but weren’t advocating against Brewha being lynched… at least not strongly… but now it feels like you are playing up your innocence in the lynch while casting broad reaching suspicion.

I’m willing to bet there is scum or 3P in the votes for brewha, but I KNOW there is town there too… I’m sure we are just as likely to find scum in the pool of people who jumped wagon as we are in the pool that stayed put… and the former pool is smaller.
