OK. So. We have lost a lot of blue. I am hoping for at leat some crossfire between the factions tonight, but I am not really holding my breath on that one. I am still not terribly concerned about the 3P (and maybe I should be) but I am really not caring too much about the switches right now, either.
Those who jumped off the brewha train and onto the ToeJam train were not doing so to protect a scummy brewha. There’s likely some scum there, but at this point I figure there is likely scum everywhere. I am going to have a beer and look over all those records again.
And how stupid is it that it still bugs me that the Mafia Consigliere was at the Alpha Wolf’s funeral? Even knowing that it was just something that amused our formidable mods.

I thought that was the position you were taking. Otherwise I found it odd that you are suspicious of people who took the opposite view of the situation.

To be clear… my issue is that you admit it’s possible for a scum to make a similar mistake, but are suspicious of being voting Brewha when that was a large part of the case against him.

I also don’t like that before the reveal you had no problem with people voting Brewha, you just didn’t think we were right. After the reveal now you are suspicious of all of us? You were right, but weren’t advocating against Brewha being lynched… at least not strongly… but now it feels like you are playing up your innocence in the lynch while casting broad reaching suspicion.

I’m willing to bet there is scum or 3P in the votes for brewha, but I KNOW there is town there too… I’m sure we are just as likely to find scum in the pool of people who jumped wagon as we are in the pool that stayed put… and the former pool is smaller.

Did you read my whole claim? I think you said you missed it the first time so I’m wondering if you took in all the facets of my claim.
A few points:
(1) As Crys stated, there are 5 of us. Crys knows there are 5 of us. I know there are 5 of us. I presume the other 3 know there are five of us. If I’m lying, you will know sooner rather than later. (Sidenote: I have a unique designation. Crys is “Second” if I recall correctly. I haven’t yet revealed which cultist I am, but I could and then the others could tacitly confirm that I’m not claiming their role. I’m not sure if it is worth it. Will have to think more.)
(2) While Crys posting her entire role PM precludes any PM handshaking between us, I did leave breadcrumbs that I was a cultist for other cultists to find. These breadcrumb predate Crys’s claim.
I get that a certain degree of skepticism and paranoia is warranted, but please don’t confuse possible with probable. Please take into consideration the entire claiming episode and the circumstances of that claim.

37 Townies sounds plausible. With 14 scum (with powers, mostly) running about, another 4 anti-town elements (or even neutral) is pushing the boundaries of what Town needs to do to win. It is my personal opinion that Third Parties add to the Lynch burden of the town. Since we can’t know whether a third party player has an exclusive or inclusive win condition, we have to Lynch third parties. So Crys is your teammate but you unvote the one person ahead of them in the lynch… putting them closer to being the person getting the noose today? For a team of survivors worrying about making it to end game, you seem awful willing to risk a vote swing that puts Crys on the chopping block.

Something is afoot… there are too many people fleeing brewha and casting one off votes…

My vote on brewha was terrible and not for good reasons. I’m not keeping my shitty vote on brewha just to save Crys. I also didn’t feel Crys was in danger anymore. I also, also really wanted ToeJam dead.

But jeez I don’t approve of the span of votes i collected in less than 100 posts. That’s why 2nd lynches are bad. Because it leads to people like Guiri using that as a reason to excuse their vote:

Idle’s vote on me- honestly, all of you guys claiming I’m lurking, how do you feel about Idle? I think he’s gone absent and he’s just never been back here. But it’s interesting that noone brings up his lurking behaviors, but I’m nearly lynched for my previous absence.

Ok… I challenge you to do a side by side comparison of post count and content of yourself and Toejam. The fact that he was a close second in D2 lynch based on his participation bugs me when we have so many people, including yourself, who aren’t participating at their usual level, claimed level, have said they will do better, or have mentioned they are having a hard time keeping up. Heck throw Koldanar in the mix too… I feel you could make the same case against him that is being made of Toejam… so why is no one on his case…

For the record, I don’t like Toejam’s participation thus far either… but it’s far from enough to warrant a vote, let alone a bandwagon.

One thing I noticed about Total Lost when I did the WoW on her was that once septimus actually claimed, her participation dropped a TON. She was one of the most active participants of D1, with multiple posts per page, until that incident. I know real life can intervene, but the timing was suspect. Were it not for that, I’d have gotten a fairly Town read from that WoW. That was the only hinky thing I noticed.

Also, it looks like nothing about switches is revealed on death. Yay.

If this cult does exist and is non hostile then it is actually good for them to get into the open and confirmed. I’m not sure what you mean by “control the cultists”. For them to be working with town, they would just do the same as any vanilla townie, ie looking for scum and voting according to their own suspicions. I would definitely be against compelling them to all vote the same way, as dictated by another player (even if that other player is definitely town).

No it doesn’t - if LUTHA is real, then the other cultists all know that Crys is one of them, so long as the mods didn’t give the cultist PM to anyone else (that seems pretty unlikely to me).

I think the most important thing here is that the cultists (if they are real) are being given a chance to come out and help town as a block. If they all claim later and say, “hey town, we want to help you win!” we can point to Day 2 and ask them why the hell they didn’t help us now.

Okay, that makes sense - if sachertorte is revealed as a cultist then that confirms Crys. (I agree that it is extremely unlikely that scum were told of the cult and given their exact role)

The cult has not yet been revealed as non-hostile, so I doubt that any other cultist would be willing to come forward yet. I suggest that the others all stay hidden for now. Eventually one of them will turn up dead, then we will better know what to do.
