Ok, aside from the weirdness of how it was done you really want to vote for a person who is either the jester or one on the town docs. You’ve got to be kidding me. After cookies action yesterDay and now this: Vote 1: Zeriel
Vote 2: NBC
Vote 3: Pollux
My reasons for the last two are the same as before but Pollux is quickly falling off my scum board and will probably be replaced later this week.
CiAS: Simple: Because I got OaOW and Oredigger backwards in my head and I was tired, and then I got the subscription thread update in my e-mail and said wait, that’s not right.
Santo’s on there because he was originally the second placeholder before I decided to vote my opinion on the doc situation instead of myself and placeholder.
And yes, I do want to put my second vote on the doc to register my official suspicions when there’s a far and away vote leader. Didn’t you guys discuss using the borda system for exactly that on day one, so all suspicions are fully accountable?
As I’ve said before and elsewhere, I have either got to start proofreading more or stop playing on a whim after midnight. =P
I need to get a vote down. I guess no one wanted to look at my theory that we can’t actually lose this game as long as we systematically lynch the vanillas. I actually was sort of hoping that someone would come out and say I was wrong, the game is kinda dull if it is that rote.
The only one of the vanilla’s left who is pinging me.
2. Diggit 3. Pollux
Random.org placeholder votes. Sorry guys. I will try to find real reasons to vote for a couple of vanillas soon.
If I see anyone that I think is scummier than anyone else I will change my vote. I see people who I think are less scummy in that pool. Story for his early and consistent push against NBC, Rugger because of the Sarah Connor thing, and Zeriel actually because of the messed up vote (I have not known scum to be quite so sloppy before, and Z is a better player than that, or he used to be at least) As for the rest of them I don’t have really strong feelings.
I am going to try to do a full game re-read today at some point hope something sticks out at me.
I don’t get people jumping on for Zeriel for his vote error. With his vote for OAOW, he said this:
It is clear to me that he meant Oredigger, as that is the only way the Doc comment makes any sense at all. Then he corrected his vote when he noticed that he screwed up. Can someone tell me how that is scummy? I notice Oredigger was very quick to put his #1 on Zeriel for this.
Now, if you’re suspicious of Zeriel for some of Cookies’ earlier behavior, that’s another matter entirely (Pollux, for example). Admittedly, Oredigger does also reference earlier Cookies behavior with his vote post, but this error looks to have been the catalyst, or pretense, depending on how generous with Ore you want to be.
I’m just doing this in the order of the list - it has no bearing on who I think is scummy.
12 town - 4 scum
Today we lynch Storyteller - Storyteller turns out to be town = 11 town - 4 scum
ToNight Rysto is killed - = 10 town 4 scum
Next day we lynch Santo - Santo turns out to be town = 9 town 4 scum
That Night OAOW is killed = 8 town 4 scum
Next day we lynch Diggit - Diggit turns out to be town = 7 town 4 scum
That Night AH is killed = 6 town 4 scum
Next day we lynch Zeriel - Zeriel turns out to be town = 5 town 4 scum
That Night Squid is killed= 4 town 4 scum
Game over.
Of course that’s assuming we get it wrong each time and is a worst case scenario. Also the day I’ve got for Diggit dying could also be used to out the false doc if he isn’t already dead by the vig as by that stage we’d only have 12 players remaining. I’d have thought we’d know who that was by then. I think we do have a very good chance of winning but it isn’t impossible to lose.
By the way NAF, Oredigger’s said what he did last Night. Can you tell us what you did?
We’re caught in a bit of a bind here, which I’m sure the Jester finds funny; we have to lynch, and do our best to pick up scum, because we only had one spare mislynch, and we’ve used it to gain information. But when scumhunting, we risk finding the one the scum wants us to find.
Bit of a dilemma really.
As with Yesterday, we should lynch someone in the Vanilla pool. Clearly, my suspicions of Yesterday have not abated; I am intimidating NBC right now, and he was my first choice for scum in my original vote Yesterday, with DarkCookies second.
I have considered the possibility that NBC may be acting the way he is in order to get lynched because he’s the Jester. it would be a very difficult line to walk - raising enough suspicion to get lynched but not enough to make us think he wanted to be lynched. It’s far simpler for the Jester to claim a role he (or, as it may be, she) knows will get counterclaimed; and sure enough we have one such claim.
But is that too simple? Ah, the smell of WIFOM in the evening. (Even if iocaine powder was odourless.)
Before I vote, I’ll be doing at least one reread of the Day’s action. But right now, I’m likely to revert to my first suspicion, unless compelling evidence against someone else emerges.
I will be honest and say the spelling of your name is why I started simply calling you Z. I can’t spell for beans on a good day and I hate screwing up people’s names.
Is it too much to ask for people to put a reason for each of their votes? Just throwing votes out there allows for post-hoc justifications, since the reasons are not on record. This is bad for voting analysis and pro-scum. Even something like “for reasons I stated earlier in post XYZ” would be enough and shouldn’t be that much trouble, unless you have no reason for voting for someone.
NBC - because he’s been shady.
Z-man - because he’s been shady.
CatInA - because he thinks I’m scum just because of my ideas… we all know different ideas are not = scum, but it reminds me of the way Idle treated me in the last game when I was Obviously Innocent… just keep stirring the “he’s suspicious” pot.
Although, I’m not sure it matters much. Half the voters are confirmed, and half the voters are going to be dead when it’s time to start analyzing votes. Not to say we shouldn’t do it, but I just don’t feel like putting forth the full effort of finding specific posts and such. Sorry.
NAF Oredigger said who he supposedly protected last night. I asked earlier what you did but it was at the end of my last post so maybe you missed it. Care to share your night actions if any?
Actually, again no, not really. Sorry. It really won’t help confirm me any more than it confirmed Ore and it will give away my working strategy which would actually take away the little bit of benefit I think I can be to the town at this point.
