Yeah I know. My post was to NAF’s thinking it might be impossible for town to lose and I was just showing how they could. There’s certainly the possibility that we could accidentally kill the suicidal vig, though I’d have thought he/she would claim if that looked likely and take a shot at one of the paranoid docs that night.

A couple of problems with this. The first is that Sarah Connor is going to start driving people insane very soon. If she drives either the Paranoid Doc or the Vig insane, then we lose the ability to confirm the suicidal Doc. Also, given that this is an open setup I see now way for us to confirm anyone as scum other than that false Doc claimaint. Finally, there’s always the possibility that the Vig could slip up and give themselves away without doing us any good at all.

Finally, there’s always the possibility that the Vig could slip up and give themselves away without doing us any good at all.

Yaknow, that’s a good point. Also, the scum aren’t going to be targeting anybody in the Vanilla pool, anyway.

As far as handling any confirmed scum that may appear… Vigging them instead of lynching them only saves us 1/2 a mislynch, really.

Is it too much to ask for people to put a reason for each of their votes? Just throwing votes out there allows for post-hoc justifications, since the reasons are not on record. This is bad for voting analysis and pro-scum. Even something like “for reasons I stated earlier in post XYZ” would be enough and shouldn’t be that much trouble, unless you have no reason for voting for someone.

Although, I’m not sure it matters much. Half the voters are confirmed, and half the voters are going to be dead when it’s time to start analyzing votes. Not to say we shouldn’t do it, but I just don’t feel like putting forth the full effort of finding specific posts and such. Sorry.

Naming your reasons for voting for someone doesn’t “matter much”? :dubious: Just because a voter is a confirmed power role, does not mean that their reasons for voting for someone are good. Bad voting = mislynches, which we can ill-afford. Aside from holding people accountable and forcing scum to be on the record, we want everyone to post their reasons so we can evaluate and discuss them, giving us the best chance at lynching the right people.

I cannot think of a single pro-Town reason for your position.

However, if the game goes to a true end-game, it’s going to be because the Jester recruited one of our currently confirmed roles. All the Vanilla are going to be dead. You’re right that it’s not really pro town for Vanilla not to give reasons, but I don’t really find it anti-town either. Vote for me if you will, but like I said, it doesn’t matter if I get lynched, because all the current Vanilla are going to be dead anyway if the Jester recruits and we go to a heated end-game.

I kinda don’t wanna see NBC lynched (yes, I know my #1 vote is on him). I almost feel like we should be lynching the third most suspicious person (Paranoid Doc, person with first most votes, person with second most votes), since it’s quite possible NBC is the Jester.

You’re right on that point. Unfortunately with NBC so far in the lead votewise and only a couple more people left to vote I expect most people don’t feel the need to say much.

All I’ve got so far is that I don’t really see why there are so many votes against Zeriel. A lot of it seems to be from the skimming by Cookies but we now know that she had to sub out due to time constraints so I see that as a null tell. I don’t see Zeriel’s transposing OAOW’s name for Oredigger’s to be suspicious as he referred to OAOW’s as the doc so it was obvious who he meant.

Other than that I got nothing. I’d like to vote for Santo because he’s causing me grief on Facebook but as he was one of the people pushing for the roleclaim which is more likely to help the town than the scum he’s pretty far down my list as is Story for the same reason.
