Whoops, sorry, I meant to cut out the vote count, which became outdated while I was writing the post!
Odd that you turned up that quote from Biotop when I was just getting ready to post something similar. I’m seeing way too many retaliation votes here.
Sangfroid is voting me.
Sario is voting Cygnus.
PMollusc is voting Diggit.
Sario’s, in particular, is odd because Cygnus is almost certainly town, Sario is in the lead and yet does not make a self-preservation vote.
Even though I’m tempted to vote Thing Fish, as I’m getting a bit unsure about him, I don’t have time to go through all his posts and I need a vote on record. I find myself agreeing with** TexCat**, so I’ll go ahead and vote Sangfroid. I am very unsure about this and I will switch if something comes up. And Sangfroid, I would very much like you to give a try to convince me and **TexCat **to move our votes. If you are town, please give it a try.
You’re opposed to those?
There is a bit more to it than flat out OMGUS (oh my god you suck) DC case on me is very opportunistic based on what appears to be a deliberate misreading of a perfectly reasonable position on the question of the seers claim.
My vote is for the least active player, not the guy who is voting for me.
I’ve noticed that you and and Plum seem rather in sync today. Could be something, could be nothing. Either way it is interesting.
Uh, yes, Jimmy. PMollusc had some reasons, iirc, to vote Diggit, but Sario and Sangfroid are just making throwaway votes.
But several people have explained why he is pretty unlikely to be scum. Why are you voting him?
Sario, we seem to have a surplus of fairly inactive players. Why pick the one who is most likely to be town? Just because they’ve posted a few less times?
descending internet will cut out shortly , quick sprint across MSP to the next flight and will be back
Why are you defending him?
Me included. I don’t think he’s scum.
You’re not opposed to retaliation votes?
I wasn’t trying to be coy. TexCat has registered a couple of retaliation votes of her own, if I recall correctly.
I’m not sure about most likely to be town, but I’m also not sure if he’s scum.
Unvote Cygnus42
So who do you think is scum?
(bolding mine)
Because I think you’re Alpha.
As much as I despise the game mechanic of fraud investigations - that is, a wolf query yields a Town result; WAY too much power to the black hats, IMO - it is what we have to work with.
The only way I can see to out you as Alpha is to offer myself up first. If Town has any sense, you’re going to be the next one standing over the trap door.
Sadly, if we are in fact BOTH Town, this little drama will probably be it for the good guys. Both of us (if Town), plus two night kills would put us where, exactly?
Done, with a fork?
LOL. Yes, I have voted in retaliation. It’s a hard instinct to avoid. I do try at EOD, however, to look more objectively and vote for scum.
PEDIT: Sangfroid, I don’t see how your death, if you are town, will do anything to prove that I am alpha.
We’re already in a lot of trouble. One more town going down is only gonna make things worse.
Sadly, I have no clear suspects at this time. Thing Fish’s case on you seemed fairly detailed, but his refusal to respond to you and the suspicion that others have had on him have made me wary. Then there’s the fact you and TexCat are actually agreeing on a case, something I was not expecting to see this game.
