If I have to choose one, then I’ll move to prevent a tie. Unvote Ender. My vote for RyJae still stands.
I re-read this, and I must have glossed over it before, but that’s actually a really good point. It points to one of two outcomes: Babale or me (or both) are scum, or we have an inexperienced scum team.
Scum could have thought I was blustering and had already used my power, but that leaves two more protective powers in play. Huh. Gonna have to ponder this, although my instinct is to stick with my vote on RyJae.
Also, incidentally, was this post you formally claiming prioress?
No, I claimed here.
Ostensibly. Seems like the opposite to me. I think this supports the theory that Stan is in fact third party. Or maybe he likes spreading that around, so that Scum hesitate to kill him (because they’re scared that, like Hal, he’s immune?) and is, in fact, Town.
Babale, I don’t follow what you’re saying.
I posted at the same time as Stan and so, didn’t see his post. I thought that what he said was consistent with avoiding a claim as much as possible. But Stan DID claim, I just missed it. Since that’s the case, my point is moot.
Well I’m not going to vote for myself, even if that would break the tie ![]()
Fair enough. My votes were there to put them out there. I’ll be happy to rescind one of them to not muddy the waters
UNVOTE Babale
Astral explained it, and I’d be happy to go into more detail in any post game wrap-up.
Also, I questioned the need to point this out but I think with Hal’s claimed power this may be something to at least consider even if it’s not implemented.
STORY: Has Visor’s power been used? Alternatively, did Visor have a useable power at the time of his death?
I have a bad habit of hitting preview on posts and then forgetting to actually post them. I think I must have done that last night. I know I wrote a post, but it is not showing up here. Anyway, in that post I voted Ender, and he would still be my first choice, but I don’t really want a tie.
I am hurrying to make this post between classes so I am going to abstain from voting, but only because I don’t want to have a tie. Otherwise, my vote would be for Ender.
I doubt I will be on again before End of Day.
Interesting thought. If Hal can do it, our lynch wouldn’t kill anybody today, which (I think) means even with the spear, we’re not at LyLo.
There’s an enormous pro-town benefit to sparing our lynch target today, I would think.
I’m a little disappointed – I had hoped toDay would bring a little more anti-me talk. What Ender said is likely correct – voting for me now would be extremely anti-town, so I was hoping scum would show their hand by trying to bump me off. No such luck – Astral Rejection’s bit about me being terrible for town is all we got. Not an accurate statement, but not enough to make me vote him (I still refuse to consider double-voting).
And now that a couple of hours have passed since I wrote that paragraph (the problem with playing Mafia while working), I gotta say – Astral, lynchy towards me or not, you’re an insightful player. Your case against RyJae and suspicions toward Ender are a mirror of what I had been thinking.
I agree that spreading the vote is extra-bad right now, so even though I’m willing to make the switch if need be, for now I’m going to…
Vote RyJae
Wow, a sure way to get a vote is to vote for Babale… I am going to turn up as town, on that Babale must die next imho. I was wrong before so take that with a grain of salt. But Stanislaus has also made some imo more on Babale than any other player as being scum currently in the game.
With 45 minutes left until the hammer can drop…
RyJae - (4 votes) - Enderw24 (1079), Astral Rejection (1092), Babale (1098), Hal Briston (1110)
Ender - (1 vote) - Stanislaus (1077), [del]Babale[/del] (1083-1101)
Babale - (1 vote) - [del]Stanislaus[/del] (1077-1087), [del]Enderw24[/del] (1079-1107), RyJae (1093)
Stanislaus - (0 votes) - [del]Babale[/del] (1083-1085)
Hal, I should amend my statement. Your actions have been terrible for town, at least in my opinion. Your cases and discussion have been solid.
I think hitting two townies with your kills is pretty bad, but I like you as a player, so it’s a wash.
Can you ask Story if you can take Visor’s power if it’s available? He might miss the post in-thread, but a PM to help the question along can’t hurt.
I’m worried the answer will be “no,” or at the very least “not until toNight,” as I think your power is explicitly a night power, right?
I can only pick up unused powers – Visor used the Pardoner’s power Night One, didn’t he?
Theoretically, he could have had a second go at it, based on the restorative. That one would be unused and possibly up for grabs.
Ohhhh, excellent point…but I’d doubt it. story and I had this conversation on Day Five:
[QUOTE=storyteller0910]
Been thinking about how to answer your question properly. All I will say is that the Shipman power is spent, and you do not have access to it toNight.
You still can use your own power, of course (and the Miller’s, though it would result in your own death).
[/QUOTE]
story does not mention anything about having the Pardoner’s power there. But, just in case…
Hey story – any chance the restorative was used in a way that would put the Pardoner’s power (or any other power, for that matter) in my hands?

You guys are so cute. I will obviously not answer this question.
Visorslash’s death reveal includes the information you get upon death, and all the information you get upon death. ![]()
Hey Story, are we lynching scum, or should we change our votes?

Day Seven, Dusk
*The expedition had grown quite small, now, and fear and suspicion ruled the day. They paused to make camp for the Night a few scant miles from Canterbury; indeed, it almost seemed to the more hopeful among them that they could make out the spires of the great Cathedral in the distance. This was almost surely a mirage, but it seemed that with some hard work - of any of them were left by then - they might watch the sunset from the cathedral garden tomorrow night.
Well, some of them might. RyJae, a man of medicine to his end, most surely would not.*
RyJae, who was Town and the PHYSICIAN, has been lynched
Night Seven begins here, with six players still alive. Day Eight will begin on Saturday, August 11, between 1 and 5 PM EST. Happy hunting!

Well, I’ll be damned.
