No, but fubbles commented on Mahaloth breaking the tie, and the fubbles did not break the tie himself. Choie later broke the tie, but that doesn’t change what was happening at the time.
should read:
“fubbles commented on Mahaloth **not **breaking the tie”
with less than 24 hours until EOD he should have broken the tie and checked back in later to switch back to you if you had picked up more votes in the interim, not the other way around.
let’s review, shall we? I view Mahaloth’s refusal to break the tie as an indication that he is scum, willing to let either of two townies get lynched on a coin toss. yet you expect me to break the tie myself by voting for the other townie?
it’s interesting that you, of all people, would mention this.
it doesn’t work because you’ve somehow butchered it into all three of us being scum?
I know, right? I’m having a helluva lot of fun all of a sudden, like I’m Perry Mason.
He’s gonna have to do a much better job at aiming at Mahaloth if he expects three people to vote for Mahaloth at this late juncture.
But I’m confused (gee, there’s a shocker). Why can’t Silver Jan switch to fubbles?
Honestly? I’ve been wondering about their strange push-me/pull-you relationship throughout this whole game. I think I called it performance art before, and that’s sorta how it feels. Mahaloth with his bizarre choie-fixation that he can’t or won’t elaborate upon, and fubbles with his smilie-hieroglyphics and copypasta replies.
Town, obv. Sorry, continue!
Ditto. If Mahaloth’s scum then I can’t see why he wouldn’t just pick a side, especially since it ain’t like fubbles in particular hasn’t given him cause to ponder.
I can think of one, and its name is S.C.U.M.
I would be voting that way too, especially after his last few posts. It’s just I feel like we’re being manipulated somehow and I don’t like it at all. It’s like he’s putting a “LYNCH ME” hat on his head, an “I’M SCUM” t-shirt, and a cape that says “GUILTY MCGUILTERSON.” I feel as if he’s daring us to lynch him and for the life of me I don’t get this play style at all.
Luckily I tend to be up at this time of night so I’ll probably be around for a while to see if anything more develops before EOD tomorrow.
Obviously that was a typo on Svejk’s part. How did you miss that?
She’s already voting for him.
Dude! The whole point is, how do you know she’s townie?!
Oh! LOL, right, sorry. Heh. This thread’s moving faster than my brain cells. Not a difficult feat, I grant you.
hello!
because the only reason for Mahaloth not to break a tie between a leading suspect and a non-suspect is if he’s scum, knows they’re both town, and is happy to let it come to a coin-toss. if he was happy to let you and I come down to a coin toss, it would make sense as town, but that’s not the case.
…
clearly the highlighted part should read: and that Mahaloth knows that both **Fubbles **and Silver Jan are town. So you are saying that scum, faced with a 3-3 tie between two townies, would choose to vote for a third player? Whyever does that make sense?
You posted this days ago, after you had done virtually no defending, then you went away for quite some time, come back, refuse to defend yourself, and when I call you out on that you just repost this old bit from a few days ago. Well, I guess you tire very easily. Thanks, though, for making me feel more secure about my vote for you - now I can go to bed and sleep the sleep of untroubled innocents.
Thanks for the explanation - this situation obviously pertains to the tie that existed between posts ##1072-1087 (my previous vote count erroneously lists choie’s vote as #1088) and that Fubbles’s vote in #1085 left intact.
I’m not buying that. Nightie-night!
A townie, faced with a tie between two players - one he suspects, and one he doesn’t - would break the tie by switching his vote to his suspect. A scum, faced with a tie between two townies, would leave his vote on his other suspect, knowing that a townie still dies, and he doesn’t even have to tarnish his vote record for it.
glad I could help, peach
if Mahaloth is town, and you think my case against him is bullshit, it behooves you to argue as such, rather than just saying no, plugging your ears, saying la la la and going to bed
If the only reason to leave a tie means the person **must **be Scum. Then that is exactly the behavior that Scum will avoid doing. Especially if any other action kills a Townie.
That’s presuming that Mahaloth feels there’s a major difference between Silver Jan and you. Again, he seems to feel so strongly about me (seems being the operative word) and the last time he was active in the thread, I had two votes to you and Silver Jan’s three votes. It’s hardly out of the realm of possibility that Mahaloth thought more people would be swayed to the POV of his and septimus – aka the only semi-confirmed Townie – during the last ten hours or so of the Day.
Trust me, I’d be thrilled to assume Mahaloth’s scum; it makes me feel better about his votes against me. Even before that, his behavior was oddly diva-ish. And yet I just don’t see his decisions and play style as any worse than yours.
And Svejk’s right. Until tonight you’ve done precious little defending of your weird-ass posting throughout the course of this game. If you’re lynched (assuming you don’t want to be) you can thank those round-faced, colorful little guys you rely on so much for your communicative skills.
Vote Count:
Silver Jan (4): Mental Guy, Hirka T’Bawa, Scathach, choie
fubbleskag (3): Silver Jan, Svejk, Special Ed
choie (2): Mahaloth, Septimus
Mahaloth (1): fubbleskag
The day still ends at 10:00 AM Friday. Night will be extended to 10:00 AM Tuesday, Dec 27
WIFOM, and your last sentence doesn’t even follow.
it’s not a presumption, it’s a fact. I’m his #2 suspect, bordering on being #1, while she’s not even on his suspect list - he has not even mentioned her in a single post the entire game.
I already replied to this rebuttal. why are you defending him so heartily? are you the fellow scum on his list of three suspects instead of ed like I initially suspected?
what a peculiar thing to say
you can thank those round-faced colorful little guys for getting ed back into the game, and you’re welcome.
Yes it does.
Mahaloth could have done many thigns to break the tie, all of which would result in the death of a townie. And then avoid the actions that must be Scummy.
