Oh I agree, the Cult are playing really well in this game and have pulled the town’s strings magnificently.
However, if the Cult knew **Idle ** was the Avatar, then today’s voting patterns will prove really useful.

It seemed the Day would go as just about every other at first, until the early suspicion fell on ComeToTheDarkSideWeHaveCookies. Quickly, she claimed to be one of the last monks along with the vacant sachetorte. But no, **Idle Thoughts ** wouldn’t dare let these people claim falsely, for he was a monk, along with zuma [Ver. 2]. Argument ensued, blocks were formed, and tempers flared, until at last all eyes fell upon Idle Thoughts. A few of the men grabbed his arms, but he screamed and struggled wildly like a tempermental child being forced to take a bath.
But just at the edge of the pool, just as he was about to be forced in, he managed to struggle free. “HAHAHAHA! I’m no Monk, I’m the Avatar! And now, I’m going to take a Monk or the Disciple or the Apprentice with me! HAHAHAHA! Sekham, strike them dead!”
The whole room stood in wide-eyed silence for a moment, awaiting a bolt of lightning, or a heart attack or spontaneous combustion… but nothing. And just as all of the eyes fell back on Idle Thoughts, he ran straight through the crowd and burst through the door.
“No!” screamed sachetorte, “we can’t let him escape, he’s a cultist, we can’t let him escape!” And so he grabbed a torch, and set chase. At least, until the rabid Idle Thoughts, anxiously looking over his shoulder, ran smack into a wall, and fell flat on his back.
There, sachetorte stood over him with a satsified grin, as he dropped the torch onto the daze Idle Thoughts. Perhaps it was the hot sensation, or the stench of burning flesh, but this seemed to awake Idle Thoughts from his daze. He screamed a gutteral howl, unheard since days of lore, and, began to run around like a mad man as the flame rapidly consumed him. All eyes were on him, until he finally collapsed to the ground.
Anxious to see the result of his handiwork, sachetorte stepped toward the smoldering corpse, standing over it one last time. Surely he was dead; he leaned in closer to determine for certain…
“AAGH!” The flame that engulfed Idle Thoughs flared as he sprang up, and grabbed sachetorte. NO… for now, sachetorte was aflame as Idle Thoughts was just a moment before. It wasn’t long until both were dead.
Idle Thoughts, a Cultist, was burned alive.
sachetorte, a Monk, was collateral damage.
It’s not really possible to sub out sachetorte, and if I’d known tempers would flare like this between several of you and it would make the game unfun for him, I would have just mod-killed him to begin with. I have given it thought, and I do not think that this mod-kill will result in tipping the balance of who will win.
Further, since I think it got out of hand and only didn’t get any mod interference because they don’t want to look at this enormous thread, any other personal attacks outside the spirit of the game will get a serious consideration of a mod-kill from me as well.
The Night will end at 11:00 PM EDT on Thursday.
