Sucks that the Cult gets essentially a free Avatar because people can’t control their tempers. Ultimately, I feel that this game was broken by the number of substitutions. I’m still enjoying it, but I hope that the moderator of the next game will consider past performances before allowing people to join.

I’m that moderator. I’ll definitely stress the level of commitment expected. Fortunately, my game will have only 20 players, and there’ll be at least two deaths per Night, at least at the beginning. So the game should last about 2 months, possibly as long as three. The smaller, shorter game should help reduce the attrition.

I might suggest that you ask Idle if you can use his boards instead of making Google Groups. The Google Groups were kind of annoying as far as posting delays and readability.

Yeah, it took a lot of work balancing it, which is why I’m giving auto-invites to Chronos and Mtgman. I’m hoping it’ll be fun!
My first thought about Google groups is that it’d be tolerable, since there won’t be a large number of posters in each secret group. But I’ll talk with Idle and see if it’s possible to do it there. The tricky part is keeping the group memberships secret.
I’m pretty sure he can create hidden forums that are only visible to specific users.

I am very sorry that sach decided to leave the game. There was no excuse for my outburst and I regretted it immediatly.
I am going to switch my focus to putting together the firefly game that Kat and I are hosting off board. I will sit the next game out.
If memory serves, he worked that out on his boards…keeping secret meeting threads secret…when we noticed some potential exposure as scum in the early days of M4.

Pleonast: I would definitely be interested in that game as well.
As for Mafia in general: It requires a thick skin and remembering the fact that the other players will try to twist your words and make you out to be a liar even if you know the truth and that nobody else will believe you.
If you can hold that thought up front in that it is only a game, played hard of course, but that after it there is no reason we cannot all have enjoyed the experience.
Oh, and I have plans for another limerick
