Mafia V: The Cult of Sekham

I didn’t think the limerick was that bad :frowning:

Hellooo, anybody else…

Hello yourself.

I don’t think the limerick quite scanned right. Just my opinion.

And right now dinner is calling to me in a very loud voice. Back this evening.

The last line needs another syllable.

“But in the end, why it was all for naught.”

[Haunting]

OooooOOOOoooOOOooooOOooooOOo
“But still, in the end, it was all for naught.”

Where’s the Priest when you need an exorcism?

Knowing my luck she’ll be the next in through the wall…

I’ve been asked in a few PMs why I chose to mod-kill sachetorte.

First of all, I was completely out of subs, and even if someone had subbed in, they would have subbed into a situation where their play would have little impact on the game (ie, they would have already been considered confirmed), and it would be un-fun at best, and game-breaking at worst.

I originally let the role sit because he said he would be back (versus many of the other subbed which game no indication they would return) and he’d played plenty enough to give everyone a reading on his alignment. This time was different, largely because of the lack of subs, but also because I felt like it was a result of a breaking on the spirit of the game.

I feel like this does not damage the town much because he was pretty much confirmed by the death of Idle Thoughts, and so would not be a lynch target; and being among a larger set of confirmed with more meaningful roles, I didn’t see him being a Night target in the next few Nights. Thus, I felt like the 100% confirmation was better in tune with keeping the balance (which is already dangling by a thread because of all of the subs) than simply having the role remain in limbo.

FWIW, I was tempted to mod-kill more who were involved in the insults, but I decided that, because they were unconfirmed, their deaths would taint the victory enough to not be worth proceeding and I figured that a warning would likely suffice.

Please do not look at this mod-kill in comparison to other substitutions because my preference would have been to sub IF I had anyone willing to sub in in that situation.

If you have any other questions, or I just didn’t do a good job explaining my thought process, please PM me.

And a question about the Apprentice and his 30% failure rate with regard to the Avatar. The Avatar will show up 100% both before and after the death of the Oracle; that is, he was unable to get a false reading before the Oracle’s death and will not receive a “no reading” after the Oracle’s death.

After such a long and exhausting Day, it was not unexpected that the Town didn’t celebrate excessively at the capture of one, and what looks like a second cultist. Instead, most of the citizens simply returned to their homes and got a good Night’s sleep.

As the morning came, few were on time but, sure enough, they came in due time. And as it seemed the last came in, a head count was taken… and all seemed accounted for.

Strangely enough, many of the citizens seemed even more worried than they had been on previous mornings with a dead body to attend. Had their fears been realized, or should the Disciple thank Nairu for her excellent guidance?

The Day will end at 8:00 PM EDT on Monday.

I will update my signature and the player list tomorrow.

Ok, Pygmy. What’s your story?

Is this gonna be a full-on **zuma ** smack-down or do we need to discuss?

I think we need to discuss this.

I could’ve sworn I just heard something…

OK, follow me into the [d]interrogation/torture[/d] [d]chamber[/d] waiting room.

Now, hold out your fingers for me while I apply these [d]bamboo shoots[/d] nail enhancements.

Talk! We’ll go easy on you…I promise!
Not edited to add: I have no idea how to do the strike out tag.

We will dunk zuma.

But let’s not be hasty. Let’s think about who the other Cultists may be and what happened last Night.

I just realized that I’ve become pretty much an impotent Psychopath. The single 100% confirmed, never to be converted player that I could implicitly trust is dead. sniff

Now any of you could could be the turncoat.

And since I can’t kill anyone on my own, FOS on the lot of ya!

I think we can assume there was a recruit last Night. Let’s hear from our blocking/protecting roles first however. I think we should look for the Prophet though because zuma is likely to be a regular Cultist and possibly the Avatar unless MHaye happened to investigate him last night to be sure.

My vote will be for Pygmy Rugger because I’ve suspected him/her of being the Prophet for quite a while now. But I suspect that will change at some point.

We also know that CatinaSuit can’t be converted either, so there’s 2 of you that I can trust. I know I wasn’t converted. The Disciple is 100% protect power if a recruitement on that player is attempted, so if CatinaSuit protected someone last night then we know they weren’t converted. So we can narrow down the field a bit. If only a little.

:smack: Totally forgot about the Disciple not being recruitable. Exhibit of dumbassery B, if it pleases the court.

Well alright then. I suppose we wait to hear from mhaye before the discussion begins in earnest.

That being said I suppose I will say what I am thinking. Why kill zuma? Easy, its because we know he is scum. So why not kill scum? Because hockey monkey could block him every night, and that might prove useful and/or effective.

I suppose the unknown 5 must be looked at now as well. Personally I would like Pleonast added as well. All we have is him saying he is for the town while giving us no proof and just saying “trust me it is for the best” while the scum consistently pick off power role after power role.

However, of the unknowns I am still leaning towards Kyrie.
