Starting this thread now that I am using WiFi. I thought I was going crazy. Did I not pay my bill? Do I turn it off and turn it on? Then I got home and was able to look it up. Seems like it’s been over an hour and it’s down across the country. So far I haven’t seen any reason and just an unreasuring “We are working on it.”
I’m in CA and mine is working. Just called my landline and it went through.
Mine seems to be working fine. With wifi turned off, I could still get to the internet and receive calls. I’m in Wisconsin, if that makes a difference.
Just did the same thing. Lost cell service for my whole family on our personal phones around 1pm. (But I still have service on my work phone, and my personal iPad still has service.) First thing I checked was to verify my bill was current and paid. But I can’t log into my account on their website or their app, either.
The good news is it seems to only be affecting half of the country. Good news if you are in the right half. Or in this case the left half.
Western PA here - seems OK at the moment.
There are some reports that older phones aren’t affected. Nothing confirmed that I saw. I have an iPhone 15 and my daughter has a 17 and we are both out (in SOS mode).
I don’t have Fios so I don’t know if that’s affected. The reports I see only mention wireless.
Santa Barbara. iPhone 16Pro. I’m ok. The last big one affected me though.
Everything I’m seeing mentions Chicago and points east.
Mine in north Florida: not working.
New Jersey here, no cell service on my Verizon phone for the last couple of hours.
I have Fios and it’s working fine even though the phones say SOS ( in NYC)
Working fine here in Portland.
In Michigan and working fine.
The map shows a fair amount of service trouble overlap with Comcast/Xfinity and T-Mobile, which use the same infrastructure, as I understand it.

Mine is working on-and-off. Chicago area for me.
Service restored. 
I’ve been on the phone all day in the Cleveland area with my business partner in Athens, GA. Both of us on Verizon.
Same here in Connecticut.
Never lost service for my work phone or iPad, but my personal iPhone keeps getting and losing service. Currently down at the moment.
