Zenster’s posts seem to me … well, … either:
- Accurate, to the point and well-written. Useful as a reference point.
or;
- Useless doggerel, offensive and/or highly self-inflated. The sort of thing one would jerk off to once one had stuck all the pages of the Sears Lingerie line Fall catalog together with jism.
If he’s on, it’s a lot of fun to read. And if he’s off you might as well hit your head with bricks because it’s more fruitful than trying to show him where he’s being an ass.
Of course that’s my opinion, I could be wrong.

Forgive me, I thought pointing you fine folks to the page where he claims support from the silent 29,000 and then pointing out that it was at least only 28,999 would be enough.
In the interest of fighting ignorance, I thought it necessary to point out to our dear Zenster that his count is off. I would hate for him labor to under the misconception that those who have been silent do not have a problem with him.
And my abject apologies to you, andros, for this tepid rant.

you know, it’s heartwarming to me that, even though I’m quickly approaching “ma’am” status, there’s still elements of youth around me.
Of course, I’d personally prefer that they resembled more of the joi d’ vieve vs. playground taunts, but there it is.

Since I suspect the Admins would seriously object to any trend towards popularity count threads (“who likes Scylla” me, me, me, not me, me, not me, who? etc.), I’d suggest a couple of potential solutions:
A. Don’t open up threads by folks who tend to annoy you. (I know that sometimes is difficult and I don’t pretend to take this advice myself 100% of the time)
B. use the “Ignore” function.
C. Concentrate on any of the other 30,000+ posters here who don’t annoy you.
IME, pit threads that are essentially petty complaints about another poster/their posting style (vs. a specific ‘you said this and you were wrong/bigoted’ etc ), that boil down to “I don’t like you” turn pretty fucking ugly and resolve nothing. (recalling the ones on DDG, jarbabyj for example).
as with any unsolicited (except from the stance of 'post it on an open message board don’t expect people not to react) advice, you are of course, free to ignore it, YMMV, not available in all locations, void where prohibited by law, not open to any family members of employees of the company or it’s subsidiaries etc.
While there are folkson the SDMB whose posts are more annoying than Zenster’s, I’ll just submit my name for inclusion in the anti-Zenster poll, just because I find the whole “silent folks accept me” argument to be pathetically lame.
Shouldn’t the last bit of this read: “…would also include folks who haven’t (yet) expressed a preference”?
frankly I think it’d be a supremely stupid idea to essentially ask ‘everybody’ to express a preference.

Pony references generally are of the sort (and definately when I use them) of “I wish this would happen. But it’s about as likely as me getting that pony I wanted when I was 6”.
Do you absolutely have to have the same one you wanted when you were six? Or will any pony do?

Geez. Hasn’t time flown. ALREADY another I Hate Zenster thread has made its oh-so-pathetic appearance, barely a month or so after the last one.
Hey Zenster, have you thought about asking the mods to make this a ‘sticky’? I know it’s not your thread and all, but it’d save a lot of hassle ya know…seeing as most of the posters in this one don’t have anything too original to add. So when the next one comes around, the bitter-folk can just add their name to the Anti-Zenster List at the top of the Forum, nasty little toe-rags that they are.

The thing is with this thread, people can disagree with the OP and not be told that this is Saph’s thread and go away because the disagreeing party is not wanted posting in the thread.
Is it just me or is it remarkably jerkish to tell people not to post unless they agree with one’s fair self? And point out that one’s fair self doesn’t post in disagreeing poster’s threads? I’m thinking that the ignore button could be used on both sides of this divide.
