There was talk of a second meeting in May. Raleigh would be the meeting place for that, for anyone who cannot make it in March.
I tried calling the Spaghetti Warehouse four times today but got no answer. Trying again tomorrow. I received an info packet from the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce today with some alternatives but for sake of ease, I think we should stick with the above plan for right now.
How does 5-6pm sound? If I get through to them today, I am going to see if they will let me go ahead and reserve an area. I will have to go back to the other thread and get a final head count but I believe it was around 8 or 9.
One more suggestion–could someone else be in charge of the May shindig? Maybe someone who has actually been in Charlotte in the past two years!

As far as May goes, there are a couple of other Dopers here in Raleigh. Most notable would be Satan (hint). Go to a party hosted by the Master of the Dark? Could be a crowd pleaser, surely. 
Hey, I’m halfway between Raleigh and Durham. If there’s a dopers meeting (I wonder if there’s some sort of “echelon” program that monitors email for drug references?), I’ll be there. Satan, we can bargain for my soul if you like, I’ll come up with my requests (fame, wealth, fortune, willing women) by the time May comes around. Only thing is, I’ll be in Florida from the 18th to the 31st, so can we PLEASE do it before then?

I don’t think I be makin’ that. I get in from my flight at 2pm (if all goes well), and although it’s only a four hour drive to Charlotte, would you really want to see me when I’d got drunk and stayed up all night, then caught a flight from NY to NC, then drove four hours? Ha. Oh, and could the May one be after the 5th?

There’s a decent map and direction planner if you go to charlotte.com, look under guides, then at maps and directions, go to “Find a Business Near You” and eneter the name of the restaurant and choose Charlotte area. (The place is called the Spaghetti Warehouse.)

Ok guys, the deal with the one in May is to make it Memorial Day weekend so that maybe we could pull some people in from Virginia and South Carolina. I think Falcon said something about maybe attending the one in May, that way people wouldn’t have to miss any work. We’ll let you guys go with the one for March and then we’ll get pepped up about the one in May.
