A NYC deopfest? No way in Hell am I missing one of these again! I’m fairly broke, so if someone could offer a floor, or Hell even just let me sleep on their stoop I’d appreciate it. I’m small and can fit into tight places easily, so I’d even settle for the bathtub.
And Honey, if you’re coming down the Northway and getting onto the throughway (which I assuem you are) then would it be at all possible for me to hitch a ride with you? I’ll gladl shell out some dough for gas money and even drive some of the time if neccesary. If not, it’s ok, I do have my own car, but if we can carpool it seems loigical to do so, save on gas and protect the enviroment and whatnot. I live in Troy, so I am literally right off the northway.
Anyways, I know this will be a blast, as I loved my first (and only) dopefest last October at JC’s place in Virginia. Hope to see you all there.
I attended a small part of last years’ festivities (Sat. Nite @ Red Rock West) but didn’t mingle w/any dopers…Not misanthropic, just got there 1 1/2 before the sea of dopers came flooding in and was already pre-occupied with some of the regulars.

If you put a “that-sounds-cool” social event on the itinerary that takes place on the (other) island (Nassau County), you’re more than welcome to include a free meal at my restaurant / taproom on the schedule to accompany the event. (Booze won’t be on the arm, mind you; I don’t have that kinda $).

January is too cold for kilts…besides plaid is usually reserved for hunters and fisherman, not provincial NY natives.

Perhaps if you showed up regularly, more people would realize that in real life you are as witty, charming and beautiful as you appear on the boards (or perhaps even more so).
(You know, if pressed, we could even add an Algonquin tea to the schedule. )
Hmm. JohnBckWLD is offering floor space on Long Island. The cheapest place for me to fly into is…Long Island. I will have to do some severe number crunching, but put me down as a possible. Especially if Mr. Top6@6 really doesn’t mind company at his place…

You know, I was kicking myself about missing this one last year. If it’s at all possible, I will be there. Especially since TruePisces is going; there’s no way I can get her this far west, so I’ve gotta go east! Anyhoo, I’ll probably need floorspace too, but I don’t take up much room. And I have two, count 'em, two fedoras; I’d be happy to bring the other one to loan to the fedora-challenged.
Oh, and I’d probably arriving late afternoon on Thursday, and leaving Monday morning. And if no one can host for that long, I too will be happy to bounce around if necessary; I travel pretty light.
