Marriage and the SDMB

Have I just been insulted? I don’t know if I like the idea of dating me being “fighting ignorance.”

My husband used to read and post here, but now he does neither.

I chose “doesn’t post here”, although she used to. A quick check of kittenlm’s status shows it’s been over a year since her last post, which I think qualifies her as a non-poster.

Unless you’re a lesbian you probably mean fiance.

My husband posted a couple of times many years ago, but he doesn’t understand what I see in this. In fact, he thinks Dopers are weird. Obviously, I married a defective…

You do a damn fine imitation of being otherwise, however.

Yes, love – you were just insulted. See? Ignorance fought!

::runs far, far away::

It’s not going to be far enough.

She knows where you post.

Mine tried it out while we were dating, but it just didn’t suck her in the way it’s apparently done me.

Mr. Ujest don’t ‘get’ this place, but after all the years (13 years) I have been here has finally started talking aboutYOU PEOPLE in a way like, “Why don’t you ask …you know… them

I’m on wife #2 since I started lurking/posting here and neither of them even lurks. So when I go find out some answer to some obscure question that arises, I just seem resourceful. Win/win.

I’m a fat Asian who hacked into a computer simulation.

No spouse but at one stage I had got three of my closest friends to post here. Now there’s only one left posting, jjimm.

I keep trying to talk him into it, because I think he’d fit in well and have a lot to contribute. Unfortunately he’s not interested.

Who were the other two?

Other: No longer have a spouse, but when I did, she posted here. Twice I think.

My partner thinks this is an utter waste of time. There are times when I agree with him.

Actually, it was correct as given. We are each other’s fiancée.

And now that makes two posts for her fiancée.

Doesn’t post here, and when he sees me online says “Oh there you are on Something Awful again.” (I had never heard of Something Awful before that.)

But he does occasionally read the column.
